Balance of Power by Richard North Patterson. I used to really like his books, but this one and the last one I read are too liberal for me. Once I start a book though it's like a chore, I have to finish it.

The Screwtape Letters. After that I am going to attempt the Chronicles of Narnia. Can you believe I have been a Christian for fifteen years and have never read CS Lewis? Yes, I can believe it!

ORIGINAL: Auben Housekeeping by Marilynne Robinson I just finished Robinson's latest book, Gilead. It was great....is Housekeeping a worthwhile read? I'm currently reading The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova. It's pretty good. Your conversation about She's Come Undone is interesting. I read it a long time ago and don't remember being that horrified by it. As a matter of fact, I can't really remember anything about it at all. Hmm
