My husband and I just finished Ted Dekker's book called "The Slumber of Christianity". We both have a renewed faith and joy in our lives and are so looking forward to joining Jesus in heaven when it's our time and share in the banquet and prize of heaven! I encourage everyone to read it as it will open your eyes and your heart. We need to be concentrating on heaven instead of here and now but still enjoy God's gifts responsibly. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

I'm reading The Shack. It was recommended to my stepfather by someone at his church who absolutely loved it. My stepfather didn't really care for it.

I've read the thread on it, and I want to read it so I can make my own decision about it. With all of the mixed reviews, I'm not sure what to expect, but may as well read it since it seems to have a lot of people talking!

Sixth Covenant, the latest book in the A. D. Chronicles series from Bodie and Brock Thoene. This entry in the series brings to a close their look back at the events surrounding the Birth of Jesus. It has really explained to me exactly what the Magi saw in the heavens that would make them journey all that way to see the infant King.

My husband and I just completed the Experiecing God study and I highly recommend it as a group vs individual study. Even if it's just with one other person. With the turmoil i see in the Missouri Baptist Convention, I have to wonder if all the members have gone throught this study, and if they have, they should do it together as a group. I personally have grown tremendously through this study.

As always the bible.

I am also reading/listening to 8 week guide to Spiritual Transformation from Paula White.

Read a lot from emails like daily devotional articles from Streaming Faith, Pastor Gregory Dickow's From the Inside Out, along with booklets about prayer in hard places.

I picked up House by Dekker and Perreti last night.

I'm also reading Nourishing Traditions by Sally Fallon.
