Daniel.....Are you not paying your writers enough? They seem to be falling down on the job........No reports of SG Concerts in a while. Maybe you should consider increasing their pay to maybe 2 cents a report. I would say 1 & 1/2 cents but it's hard to split a penny.

Oh, Bobby! You make me feel soooo bad . . . . I'm probably the one that's farthest behind on my posting. I'm going to prioritize and do the Greater Vision concert from last night first. Then I'm planning to get something written up on Soul'd Out and Old Paths. BTW - we're a volunteer group, doing this completely out of love for the genre!!

Yes, we're all volunteers. I pay the website hosting bill and contribute my reports; everyone else contributes reports. I'm working on some ideas for posting frequency. I'll let you know if anything comes of them.

Daniel, I have some questions: 1) What is falcetto (sp?). There was a question about that on another message board. 2) Do bass singers do better or worse if they have a cold? 3) Why do some bass singers sing out of the side of their mouth? 4) Are there 'natural' bass singers vs 'made' bass singers? Does that make sense? Thanks

Well, that is unfortunately true. But an amateur who can produce low notes thanks to smoking still sounds like an amateur. They have to get voice training to sound good.

Sir Daniel, I didn't have time to read all the pages of this thread, so forgive me if this has already been asked but, which is the best Gaither video/DVD in your humble opinion?

Boy, that one is tough! I haven't seen every single one, so I hesitate to make a definitive statement. But I think Down By the Tabernacle (1998) has to be right near the top of the list. The series had been going long enough that they could afford the best, but most of the legends were still there. Add that to a nice setting and terrific song selection, and it belongs near the top, at any rate.

I have a question for you Daniel. While looking back at the archives of the SN charts I noticed something odd. From May 2001 through October 2001 there is one blank spot on the chart for each month. It's like a song has been removed or something. On the year end top 40 chart the #23 spot is blank. Any idea why this song has disappeared from the charts or what this mysterious song is?
