My 80-year-old neighbour met me half naked at the door the other day and continued to entertain me for and hour and a half in her perplexing state of undress but she's no axe murderer.

Her door. Last I saw her she was near dying. I really didn't think she'd make it through the summer. She kept wanting me to come visit her but I've been sick and busy and she sleeps all afternoon and goes to bed early so if you can't make it at 4 or 4:30 then it just doesn't work out. I wasn't planning to visit and she wasn't expecting me and her live-in-paramour (also at least 80 and married to someone else) COULD have answered the door. At least I got an interesting story to tell out of the deal! And my neighbour really is a sweetie, despite her eccentric ways. She has some interesting stories to tell.

Though I've never signed up for a Christimas card list, there have been times recently when I've wanted to do this part: 
I'm innocent. 
My son did say that his experiences with me as his mother prepared him for his drill sargeants, who cannot hold a candle to me- except in the area of 'colorful adjectives'.
