I'm thankful for Christmas lights and the folks that take the time to create such pretty displays.

Blessings,

Garsy

I'm also VERY, VERY thankful that I have found someone trustworthy to watch my baby boy next week because school is out and I can't swing 2 weeks of vacation all at once this year.

God looks out for us so much, I can't even believe it sometimes.

I have been kind of wondering (just before worrying) what I was going to do with him because school would be closed for so long. The only thing that I could think of was the Fine Arts Museum had a week long art camp. It would require me going in late and leaving early everyday but that wasn't the real issue. The real issue was the fact that it costs $200 for the week and the fact that he is a few months below the age limit. But I was gonna just pray and try to make it work...but sitting in church this morning, one of his favorite Sunday School teachers who always shares our pew caught my eye. I couldn't remember if she was retired or not, so I asked if she worked during the day. She said yes, but still wanted to know why. Turns out she took that week off herself and would love to watch him for me. When I found out it was her vacation time I insisted that I couldn't let her do that, but she insisted harder that her only plan was to do nothing and she could do that fairly well with him hanging out with her.

SO, I am so thankful for the ram in the bush!

I am thinkful that hubby is off for the day and it is only 10:30 in the morning!!!!!
block leave for christmas started last week, however he is saving his leave for when we move. So since everyone else is gone, and they don't have any vehicles yet (they are not back from Iraq), they are going to be getting off pretty early from now through the end of the year.

I am thankful today that most of my family were at our church play last night. It was a great play, and gave a great witness to those both sinners and saints.

Okay - Another kid one. Got to change the avator sometime today, but I'm going to brag on my 9 year old little girl today.

Yesterday she had a Brownie Christmas party and the girls exchanged gifts. They went around the table and I noticed that my dd was getting a bit sad. All the other girls brought boughten gifts and really elabortate little gift bags. ( so I went up and whispered to her and asked her what was wrong. She whispered back that she was nervous about handing out the gifts, the ornaments, that she made. I told her not to worry about it and that her friends would LOVE them. So she cheered up a bit and when it was her turn, she handed out her little beaded ornaments and her friends oohhed and ahhed about them and the other mother's thought it was great that she did these all by herself and she took the time to personalize one for each of her friends tastes. Anyway - I'm blessed by my creative little lady and her spirit of compassion and giving. She is also a very helpful, smart and caring child that is always eager to learn and help others learn.

She makes me smile. God gave me an easy content child - because with her brothers he knew I'd need at least one easy one.

Now if I could only get her to clean up her "creative mess" in her crafting corner.

Blessings,

Garsy

I am thankful that my 19 year old (living on her own) called me last night and wants a christian rock CD for Christmas. I have been praying faithfully that my witness would turn her around and bring her back to God. This is a start!! Praise God!
