I'm thankful that our Christmas shopping is done, and that we were blessed to be able to afford Christmas presents.

I'm blessed because God gave me EXACTLY what I needed on my bonus. Not too little, but not too much so I'd blow it all.

I'm thankful that my dear sweet soon to be 6 year old (to you old timers here - yes it has been almost 6 years since that post we made on Crosswalk 6 years ago announcing her birth!) is feeling better after having to leave school early due to being sick. Her tummy and head aches are gone and we finally found the hydrocortisone to take care of the itches on her feet. Blessings, Garsy

I'm thankful for my eldest child's 5th grade teacher. She saw potential in him that I did not see, and pushed it. She brought out brains I didn't know the kid had! Because she saw potential that a standardized test didn't see, she pushed. And because of her pushing he is now taking honors courses in middle school and will have 2 highschool math credits and 1 foreign language credit before he even starts high school. Blessings, Garsy

I'm thankful that God can use bad things for good. My parents separated 4 and a half years ago and then officially got divorced a year later. It was a hard time, but I had great friends and mentors that helped me get through. Then Friday at work one of my little (8yo) girls went out to dinner with her dad who told her he was going to California for a month or so because he and her mom weren't getting along. Then he brought her back to school and her mom was going to come get her later. Well, she had a hard time, understandably, and spent the evening crying off and on. I feel like I was better able to understand what was going on because of my own experiences and hopefully help her and comfort her.

I'm thankful for people, outside our family who we are close to. Back to the little girl above, she is really good friends with another girl and spends some time over at her house with her mom and little sisters. When she got back, the other girl was just going home, so she was able to talk to her mom a little bit about it. It was nice to see that.

At the very beginning of life, I'm thankful that God saw fit for me to live when someone else would have preferred that I'd died. I won't publically post the story so as not to slight those involved...but suffice it to say, "I'm still here".

I thank God that I actually feel blessed about that last blessing I posted. Up until a couple of years ago, I honestly felt that God had done me some disservice or wanted to torture me by insisting on my continuance.

Next, I am thankful for THIS THREAD . . . because we all need to be reminded of how saturated in Blessings we truly are every single day of our lives.

I am next so very Thankful for all of y'all. I guess I'm in kind of a weepy mood tonight (but I'm OK - Truly - just reflecting). There is absolutely no way on this Beautiful Earth that I would have been able to get through the past year-and-a-half; especially the first 16 of those months without y'all. There are some specific y'all's, to be sure, but This Community as a Whole has blessed me more than I can ever begin to really convey. Thank you all.
