I'm blessed because God gave me EXACTLY what I needed on my bonus. Not too little, but not too much so I'd blow it all.

I'm thankful that my dear sweet soon to be 6 year old (to you old timers here - yes it has been almost 6 years since that post we made on Crosswalk 6 years ago announcing her birth!) is feeling better after having to leave school early due to being sick. Her tummy and head aches are gone and we finally found the hydrocortisone to take care of the itches on her feet.

Blessings,

Garsy

I'm thankful for my eldest child's 5th grade teacher. She saw potential in him that I did not see, and pushed it. She brought out brains I didn't know the kid had! Because she saw potential that a standardized test didn't see, she pushed. And because of her pushing he is now taking honors courses in middle school and will have 2 highschool math credits and 1 foreign language credit before he even starts high school.

Blessings,

Garsy

another one! I'm eternally grateful to my Lord and Saviour for giving me a precious gift 6 years ago today. The gift came in the form of a baby. My baby girl, Zoe. (BTW Lynn are we still planning an arranged marriage between your little guy and my Zoe? ) She is such a bundle of joy! She blesses me daily with her smile and laugh!

Blessings,

Garsy

I'm thankful that God can use bad things for good. My parents separated 4 and a half years ago and then officially got divorced a year later. It was a hard time, but I had great friends and mentors that helped me get through. Then Friday at work one of my little (8yo) girls went out to dinner with her dad who told her he was going to California for a month or so because he and her mom weren't getting along. Then he brought her back to school and her mom was going to come get her later. Well, she had a hard time, understandably, and spent the evening crying off and on. I feel like I was better able to understand what was going on because of my own experiences and hopefully help her and comfort her.

I'm thankful for people, outside our family who we are close to. Back to the little girl above, she is really good friends with another girl and spends some time over at her house with her mom and little sisters. When she got back, the other girl was just going home, so she was able to talk to her mom a little bit about it. It was nice to see that.

I'm thankful that our children's Christmas Pageant went soo well tonight! Our children's director and I were in charge of it and worried that everyone wouldn't show up or something would go wrong or whatever. But it was great! All the kids were there, everyone was cute, everyone had mics at the right time, the audience laughed at all the funny parts. It was great!

At the very beginning of life, I'm thankful that God saw fit for me to live when someone else would have preferred that I'd died. I won't publically post the story so as not to slight those involved...but suffice it to say, "I'm still here".

I thank God that I actually feel blessed about that last blessing I posted. Up until a couple of years ago, I honestly felt that God had done me some disservice or wanted to torture me by insisting on my continuance.

My first blessing in this thread is Claude.

{{{Lynn}}} I am so thankful to be sharing a forum with you. Over the years, your wisdom and compassion have blessed me over and over AND OVER again.

We don't "hang out" in the sames threads (except maybe this one, now?) . . . and so it truly is a pleasure whenever I come up on one of your posts.

I love you dearly. I also pray for you when Our Lord brings you and your precious little man to my mind.
May Our Lord Bless you Very Very Abundantly.

Next, I am thankful for THIS THREAD . . . because we all need to be reminded of how saturated in Blessings we truly are every single day of our lives.

I am next so very Thankful for all of y'all.

I guess I'm in kind of a weepy mood tonight (but I'm OK - Truly - just reflecting).

There is absolutely no way on this Beautiful Earth that I would have been able to get through the past year-and-a-half; especially the first 16 of those months without y'all. There are some specific y'all's, to be sure, but This Community as a Whole has blessed me more than I can ever begin to really convey.

Thank you all.

And now . . . because I don't think teary-eyed women and electric blankets necessarily make a good mix . . .

onto a few lighter blessings

I am thankful for, well, my electric blankie. It is currently a whopping whole ONE degree out here in the Beautiful Wild Wild West. My pretty ruby-colored blanket is making sure I don't realize just how cold it truly is at the moment.

oooh; I know it's probably cheating to combine these two . . . but I am very thankful to have read Lynn's two previous posts!

I'm thankful for wireless internet! Without which, I wouldn't be able to be snuggly warm AND posting all these blessings at the same time!

Fiddle. Humor. I forgot to mention Claude's humor and what a blessing it is to me.

OK, so now I've mentioned it.
