I'm thankful for the peaceful spirit that resides in my home. I did not grow up with peace. So it's something I treasure the most. Everyone (family) can run around and do their thing... pursuing all of their goals for the day, week, month, etc. But when they walk through my front door... there's peace and tranquility waiting to greet them.

I was blessed by all the members of my church family, and their friends and family, who came out on Saturday to help serve lunch to the hungry in our community.

I'm thankful for when Sunday school just works well. I teach 4th and 5th graders and they can be a really wild and crazy bunch, but yesterday it went really well! We played Christmas trivia. Some really easy questions like who was Jesus' mother? And some trick ones like how many wise men were there? But it was good and they all participated the whole time and everyone seemed to learn something, like how we always seem to portray the Christmas story isn't exactly right.

And one more for now - I'm thankful for beads. Yep beads. The girls love to create with them. I use them in my scrapbooking and embellishing. And the cat absolutely loves it when we drop one or two on the floor and she gets to chase them all over the kitchen until she loses them under something.

I'm blessed everytime someone offers my boys a ride to Cub Scouts! It gives me extra time with just my girls! They love it and I love it too!

I'm thankful for cold weather! I love it when it is cold out, but we don't get a lot of it. But right now it is only 27F! REALLY cold for us! It also makes it feel more like Christmas time!
