Sheesh! . . . guess I just don't get out much . . . . course, I remember over 30 years ago, some cousins visited from California and somehow in the convo they said their mortgage (or rent -- can't remember which) was $1500/mo . . .
I mean, we didn't even make NEAR that much a month!

I am with Leah. I have to admit that I am shocked with the cost of renting. I do know the cost of living varies to where you live and Bill at the beach they can milk the money out of you. Wow

We were able to lower our monthly payment when the rates fell low. That has been nice but I still feel like $850 plus a month is a lot.

Hi Lynnie! . . . sorry I missed you last night -- just conked out

You know, I guess we have simply been very blessed, but our highest mortgage payment ever was $240/mo. Of course, we've always lived rather modest, by a lot of ppl's standards . . . we don't have a lot of expensive toys, never have had. Guess the most expense we've ever put out for extras is what we put out presently, what with the satellite, cell phone and internet . . sometimes I look at what those things are costing us and just in wonderment . . . it wasn't so many years ago that we wouldn't have DREAMED of spending that kind of money for unnecessaries

Hi Leah. I just read yesterday's chat and saw where you fell asleep at the computer. I've been close to doing that before. Hope you didn't hit your head. Ouch.

I went to bed shortly after signing on I was getting pretty tired myself.

Helloooooooooooooooooooo every one!

I have been reading my thread but not posting. Sorry about that. Well we did go look at that apartment that has the washer and dryer in it. The washer and dryer was a nice addition to the apartment but we did not care for the apartment itself. The apartment was nice but not what we liked, and if we did not request a ground floor apartment we would have to climb 15 sairs to get to the next level! And 15 more stairs after that to get to the third level! So that one is off the list. Sigh. Now we are just taking our time in finding the right apartment. Who know? We may even decide to stay right where we are!

And if you stay where you are you'll have all that extra room!

Mo, I miss seeing you around as much. I know you are busy, and I haven't been online as much as I used to, so I'm not surprised that we haven't seen that much of each other.

How is everything going with you and Bo?

Helloooooooooooooooo every one!

Helloooooo Trish!

I have been very busy as you all know decluttering my home. Today I am going to take it easy. I'm taking it soooooo easy that I may just go back to bed for a while! Sigh. A lot happened over the weekend that wore me out. All of it was fun though. A lot of eating to be had! Now, I need to excericse more. I wish I could join in on the fun but with my slow computer and only dail up connection it still takes me a while to read. Maybe after I get done decluttering there will be more time. I hope so!

Thanks for all the prayers!
