Welcome to page 12 of my beautiful blog! How are you doing today? I'm doing okay. I woke up at 5:30 am and couldn't go back to sleep, so I got up and spent some time with the Lord and ate breakfast. I also did some computer stuff and found a cute little joke that I want to share with you:

Casting The First Stone...

An angry crowd gathered around a young girl who was accused of being a harlot. They each had stones in their hands, ready to be judge, jury and executioner. Jesus of Nazareth stepped in between the girl and the crowd and said "let he who is without sin cast the first stone." As soon as He said this, a stone went whirling past his head. Jesus turned around and yelled "Mother!!!" [:D]

I had a good laugh when I saw this one, because I could just picture Jesus saying that, which He probably would have done if He wasn't the Son of God.

Seriously though, the Scriptures indicate that Jesus confronted the young woman's accusers . When He stooped down and wrote in the sand and said to them, "He who is without sin cast the first stone", their consciences probably bothered them enough that they couldn't bear to be in His prescence under His holy gaze. They dropped their stones and left so He could deal with her.

And how did Jesus deal with her? He asked her if anyone condemned her. When she replied that no one condemned her, He told her that He wouldn't condemn her either. In other words, He forgave her for her sins. He also told her to "go and sin no more".

Repentance is more than just asking God to forgive us. It's a change of mind about our sin, seeing it as God sees it and turning away from it. Jesus died for us so that we wouldn't die for our sins, so we need to repent and ask God for His forgiveness, so we can be clean before Him. As we go about our daily tasks, let us remember to be humble before our God and confess to Him and repent of any sin that keeps us from enjoying His blessings today.

Our heavenly Father, we thank You for sending Your Son Jesus to die for us so we can be forgiven of our sins and won't face eternal judgment in hell. Enable us to walk in Your grace and humbly confess our sins to You, so that we can repent and be blessed by You. In Jesus Wonderful, prescious Name, Amen.

If it's God's will, I'm planning to do housework and laundry, my two most favorite things to do in life. (yeah, right!) [:D] Have a wonderful day, everyone! [:)]

Good evening, everyone! How was your day? Mine went okay. I feel miserable because of my cold, but otherwise I'm fine. I'm listening to Christian music right now, which calms me down in this chaotic world.

Right now, I'm upset about something I read in the news today. It seems that a former president is overseas negotiating with terrorists! [:@] U.S. government officials want to revoke his passport. I wholeheartily agree with that course of action. I also think that his U.S. citizenship should be revoked and that he should be tried for treason for going over there and talking with our enemies. If he were any ordinary citizen instead of a former president, he would most likely be charged with treason anyway.

I've not read God's Word today, but I do remember reading about obeying the authorities that God has placed over us for our own good. Whether it be traffic laws or restrictions on talking with certain people, we need to obey the authorities because that pleases God. If you're being asked to do something that violates your Christian faith, then God might not mind if you disobeyed that law. We need to be careful that whatever we do not bring dishonor to Him.

Good morning, everyone! How are you doing today? I'm doing fine despite my cold, which is getting worse. It may be a rainy day outside, but there is sunshine in my soul, because Jesus is shining there.

I read 2 Timothy 2:1-4, which reminded me to pray for everyone, especially for those in authority over me. Whether they are my family, government officials or church leadership, I need to pray for God to guide them in their daily tasks and submit to their authority.

I'm going to do laundry, so I'll end here with 1 Timothy 1:17, "Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever, Amen. Let us praise our Lord for His goodness today! [:)]

It's a good morning for me so far. I woke up at 4 am and couldn't go back to sleep, so I thought I'd get up and spend time with God in prayer and in His Word. I also did some writing and worked on my Overcomers in Christ workbook. I'm planning to take a nap later today if I can get relief from these coughing spells.

During my devotions, I think that God led me to this passage from 1 Timothy 4:7-8 NKJV: (7) "But reject profane and old wive's fables and exercise yourself toward godliness. (8) For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come." I think what God is trying to tell me here is that while eating right and exercising is okay for my physical health, it's my spiritual health and my relationship with Him that's more important. Therefore, I should spend more time focusing on what He wants me to do, rather on improving my body. My body is temporary, but my soul is eternal, therefore I need to feed and exercise it by reading God's Word and meditating on it.

As you go about your daily tasks today, reflect on how you can exercise your spirit while taking care of the Holy Spirit's temple, that is, your body. Have a good day, everyone! [:)]

Hi there! How are you today? I'm doing okay, except for this nasty cough. I'm hoping to get rid of it soon so I can get back to my daily routine.

Today, God reminded me in His Word that "[He] has not given [me] a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." (2 Timothy 1:7) I often fear things I cannot control, so this verse comforts me because I know that the anxiety I feel is not from god. It's from the devil, who wants to destroy my life and my witness for Christ, but I'm not going to let him do that anymore. I'm going to walk in faith in God and trust Him with the future, not worry about it. This is the only way that I can have peace in my heart.

I've got vacuuming and other housework to do, so have a nice day, everyone! [:)]

Hi, everyone! It's been a few days since I've been here. I've been busy with yard work, appointments and other activities of daily life. I'm trying to get back on a more regular schedule, as I've been staying up late and getting up too late in the mornings, wasting half a day in the process. I'm planning to start getting up earlier from now on to get more things done.

I was watching Deal or No Deal tonight and it was funny! They had filmed tonight's game from the Philippines and had some cultural stuff mixed into the format. One of the things I thought was interesting is that in the Philippine grocery stores, they don't have customer service counters. Instead, customer service clerks walk around the store and respond when customers call out "Customer Assistance, please?" In fact, on the episode, a whole bunch of them responded when Howie called out for help. I don't know if it was a publicity stunt or what, but I thought that was pretty cool. Imagine what would happen if you went to Walmart, stood in the middle of the store and called out, "Customer Assistance, please!" They'd probably call security instead. [:D]

Well, I'm doing laundry right now. I'm going to log my food intake on sparkpeople.com and go to bed early so I can get my day back on schedule.

Good afternoon, (evening, morning), everyone! How's you day today? I'm doing well. I woke up from a dream in which I was singing a Christian praise song, which continued to play in my mind this morning as I started my day. After feeding the cats and going through my morning routines, I spent time with God in prayer and His Word.

I've been neglecting my time with God lately. I've been so caught up in the busyness of life, that I've put God on a shelf and not made room for Him in my schedule. I've been busy leading the new team that I'd just formed and dealing with family health issues, among other things. I've been spending more time on secular web sites instead of coming here first and getting encouragement and support from my Christian brothers and sisters. I need to change my habits and I've started today.

Today in God's Word, He reminded me in Hebrews that Jesus lives to make intercession for me because He is the most qualified High Priest Who is the Lamb slaughtered on the cross to take away my sins and make me whole. I'm thankful that I've accepted Jesus as my Savior and pray for my family and friends to do likewise. I'm also thankful that Jesus is my defense attorney, speaking to my Father on my behalf when the devil accuses me of sin. Our God is a Great God, mighty and awesome in power! May His Name be praised forever and ever!

I'm going to be doing laundry and maybe other housework today, so I won't spend as much time on the PC as I've been doing lately. I'm also planning to relearn my Spanish, so hopefully I can post in the Spanish folder despite my limited knowledge. I pray for all of you to have a wonderful day today and/or tomorrow! [:)]

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!

To all the wonderful Mothers out there! It's a special day to honor those courageous, loving women who carried us in their bodies for up to nine months, then suffered the agony of childbirth, only to be blessed by our welcoming cries.

She is the one who dealt with the many tasks of raising children: waking up at 2 am to feed burping babies, changing their diapers and rocking them to sleep. In fact, I heard someone, (I think it was a pastor) say that even the gross task of wiping a baby's bottom was a loving mother's service to God! [:'(][:)]

Then comes the many joys of the "firsts" in a child's life. First tooth, first word, first shots, first crawling and walking attempts, first day of kindergarten, middle school and high school, first learner's permit and driver's license, and many other wonderful milestones. These accomplishments make most Mother's proud, even if some of them don't acknowledge it.

Finally, there is the time when a Mother has to make the most difficult decision of her life: letting her child go. Whether they're going away to college, or just moving out, it's hard for a Mother to deal with the empty house that results. Yet she can look on with pride, knowing that she has helped mold her precious children into the person that God created them to be. All she can do is pray for them as they make a living and learn from their mistakes.

So to my Mom and all the Mothers out there,

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!

Good morning, everyone! How is your day going so far? I'm doing well. I didn't get up as early as I intended to, but at least I'm up and dressed for the day and that's what counts.

I'm starting over with my healthy eating and exercise plans. I've been goofing off and eating waaay too much food--mainly sweets and carbs-- this week, actually these past few months. I'm at 200 lbs right now and want to lose at least one more lb. by next Saturday, so I'm under 200 lbs. That will make it a special day for me.

I also read God's Word and prayed today, where God showed me the importance of having faith in Him, if I want to please Him. In Hebrews 11:1,6 NKJV, it says, "(1)Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (6) But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him." I'm still learning how to increase my faith in God, which can only be done through learning more about Him, by reading His Word and memorizing, meditating and studying it more often. I'm really lacking in these areas, so I need to do these things if I want to please God and increase my knowledge of Him so I can have more faith in what He says about Himself in His Word.

Well, todays's agenda includes reading the Singles joke thread, logging my food intake on sparkpeople.com, studying my Spanish lesson and mowing the grass. I've got to get busy, so have a good day! [:)]

Hi, there! How is everyone doing today? I'm doing well. I'm feeling a little tired and achy from the cold rainy weather and mowing the grass yesterday, but otherwise I feel fine. I'm just sitting here enjoying a nice hot cup of coffee and listening to Christian music, while posting here.

This morning during my devotions, I was encouraged by this Scripture in Hebrews 12:1-2 NKJV: (1) "Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set befor us, (2)looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." I believe that God wanted me to remember that I need to trust Him with my problems and fears. He also wants me to confess those sins that are a burden on my shoulders and my heart, including the sin of gluttony, which I'm frequently guilty of. As I continue to battle the temptations to overeat on sweets and carbs, I ask God to forgive me for my dietary indescretions and allow me to experience the joy of continuing weight loss and self control.

If you or anyone else you know have overeating or obesity issues, there are organizations and websites that can help you learn to deal with them. At sparkpeople.com., I keep track of my food intake, log my strength and cardio exercises and participate in message boards on various health-related topics not covered here. There is also a lot of information on health related issues, such as nutrition, fitness, motivation and health conditions. It's a good site and I highly recommend checking it out.

Well, I have to clean house, do strenth training exercises and do paperwork today, so I'm logging off now. Have a good day, everyone! [:)]

Hi, everyone! It's a WONDERFUL day to be alive and well in this great country, the good U.S.A.! I'm just so happy, I feel like I'm floating on air with the angels, singing praises to God and rejoicing in that I've been set free from the bondage of sin.

I'm not just happy about that though. I'm also happy about something wonderful that happened today. Basically, I got on the scale this morning and it told me that I BROKE the 200 lb. mark. I now weigh under 200 lbs for the first time since my early adult years. I'm just praising the Lord all over the place, just wanting to sing and dance all night long!

While it's good that I've reached one of my weight loss goals, I need to remember to give God all the glory, because He made it possible. His Word says that "I can do all things through Christ Who strengthens me. As long as I continue to depend on God for all my needs and allow Him to transform me into His image, then I can count on Him to allow me continue serving Him by taking better care of His temple, where His Holy Spirit resides.

I'm going to go cook dinner, sit outside in the sunshine and try on old smaller size clothes to see if they fit now. Have a nice evening, everyone!

Good June Morning, everyone! How are we doing today? I'm doing well. I'm starting off early this morning, waking up at 6 am with plans to go to church this beautiful sunny day. I'm struggling with fatigue because I didn't get much sleep last night. I'm also suffering from anxiety, which usually occurs whenever I think about going to church, so I don't know whether I'll make it or not.

God is working with me on my lack of faith and trust issues. Today in His Word, He reminded me to "count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have it's perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, withno doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind, for let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways."(James 1:2-8 NKJV)

These verses show me that I need to trust in God more and not doubt Him, no matter how anxious I feel about going to church. Several times this morning, I felt Him speaking reassuring words of comfort and peace in my heart. God also reminded me of another verse about asking for His help with thanksgiving and His peace shall surpass all my understanding through Christ Jesus. (I can't remember all of it right now). I just need to listen to God more and not let my feelings get in the way of serving Him.

Well, since it's so late right now and I'm so tired, I'm going to plan on going to church next Saturday afternoon, when I can go with my friend. I've got to go get housework and yardwork done, so have a good day, everyone! [:)]

Good morning, everyone! How are you today? I'm tired, but otherwise fine. I had to get up early to take my cat to the vet this morning. He's still not feeling well. I pray that they can find out what's wrong with him so he'll feel better. He's such a lovable teddy bear! [:)]

I've not had my devotions today yet, but I plan to spend time with God later, when I can be alone. I'm just so groggy right now, I'd fall asleep doing them. Maybe I'll take a nap later this afternoon.

I'm going to eat lunch, then do housecleaning, laundry and exercises, so I'll see ya all later! Have a good day! [:)]

Hi, everyone! How's it going? I'm doing fine. I worked in the garden today and just enjoyed the sunshine. Right now I'm freezing in my air conditioned house and posting here, but I don't mind.

I'm going to be logging off, so my relative can use the pc, but I just wanted to touch base with all of you. I did my devotions today, but right now I don't remember what I read about in God's Word, so I'll try to post that tomorrow.

Good evening, everyone! I'm having a wonderful night so far, how about you? I hope it's going okay. I've been dealing with feelings of anger and unforgiveness since I got upset with someone yesterday. I felt like I failed as a Christian because I didn't keep my emotions under control and showed a bad witness for Christ as a result.

After talking with family members and friends about this incident, I realized that all I need to do is pray for the person who irritated me and to forgive him and myself for our actions. Therefore, when I log off tonight, I plan to spend time in God's Word and prayer, asking God for forgiveness and meditating on positive Bible verses. I'll also stop listening to the secular rock stations on my radio, which feed on my negative feelings.

I'm about to log off for the night, so I wish you all a good evening and a very nice day tomorrow! Good night, everybody! [:)]

Hi everyone! How was your weekend? I've had an interesting one. We had severe weather which knocked out our electricity for over 36 hours. [:o] We've been busy cleaning refrigerators and throwing away lots of food. Our chest freezer seems okay, especially since I bought some dry ice to put in it. We'll find out tomorrow if anything in it is okay.

I'm asking for prayer for those individuals who are still without power, especially for those who are on some sort of life support equipment, such as oxygen. They need electricity the most. Also pray for those who'll have difficulty replacing the food they've lost when the power went out.

I'm tired and planning to go to bed soon, so have a good evening, everyone! [:)]

I had a dream that gave me new encouragement in my dieting efforts. I dreamed that I got on the scale and lost 10 lbs. in one week! Obviously, if I did that in real life, that would be a medical concern, but it gave me hope that I can lose this weight and keep it off.

I'm hoping to get back into my regular routine devotional blog entries again. I've not been online much these past few weeks due to severe weather, in which we have the computer unplugged. We've been having some wild weather lately, let me tell you.

I'm going to go eat watermelon and do dishes before going to bed, so goodnight, everyone! [:)]

Hi, everyone! As I sit here posting this message, my cat Smokey is sleeping peacefully on my bed, probably dreaming that he is Tarzan Cat, Lord of the Jungle. [:D] As you may have noticed, I've changed my avatar with a picture of Smokey in the fern bed. He sure looks like he's in a jungle, and so cute, doesn't he? [:)]

He reminds me of God in some ways. He loves me unconditionally and comforts me when I'm sad with kitty kisses and rubbing his head against my face. He also loves hugs and snuggling on my chest. He forgives me for not feeding him 30 seconds after I get out of bed. He is faithful to me, even when I don't always pet him when he wants me to.

It's the same with God. God remains faithful, even when we don't praise and worship Him as we need to. He forgives us for our sins, even if we sin 100,000 times a day, as long as we repent. Of course, it's better if we don't sin that much, because Jesus died for us, so our conduct and words should reflect His likeness in us.

I've read 2 Peter 1:5-11, which tells me that I need to grow in my faith by adding to it, "virtue, to virtue knowledge, (6)to knowledge self control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, (7) to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love" He wants me to do these things because His Word also says in verse 8-11: "For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. (9) For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins. (10) Therefore bretheren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, (11) for if you do these things you will never stumble; for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ."

After reading the above verses, I realized that I need to stop giving into my lustful preoccupation with food and listen to God when He prompts me to spend more time with Him. I also need to read His Word more often than I do, for it's like a breath of fresh air whenever I read it. I encourage anyone else who is struggling in these areas to ask God for help in overcoming these issues.

Well, I'm going to do laundry and move plants, if it's God's will, so I wish you all a nice day and plan to see you all later here tonight!

Hi, everyone! How are we doing today? I'm doing okay. I didn't get up until a few hours ago, so I'm off to a slow start. I'm just lazy today, I guess, because I'd rather sit here and post instead of doing housework. I don't think that God would be pleased with me if I did that, so I'll be getting busy soon.

I didn't really have devotions today, just a short prayer and Bible reading, but what I read was interesting. In 2 Peter 3:3-4, NKJV, Peter writes, "knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, (4) and saying, 'Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.'" I sometimes wonder why Jesus hasn't come back yet. It seems that everything will just go on as usual and there's no end in sight.

But I do know that He IS coming back. Jesus will make a dramatic entrance into our world and shake it up more than a little bit. What a day that will be! The reason why He hasn't come back yet is because "The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." (2 Peter 3:9 NKJV) In other words, Jesus is delaying His coming so that many people will have a chance to come to know Him as Lord and Savior before time runs out.

Because of this, it's especially important that we make the effort to tell people about Christ and make Him known to them through our words and conduct. We also need to impress upon them that "now is the day of salvation." (not sure where that is) Let's do our part to bring them into God's kingdom today!

Well, I've got to go minister to my family by doing housecleaning, including cleaning bathrooms and dusting, as well as laundry. Have a good day and God bless each and everyone of you! [:)]

Hi, all! This is just a short note today because I've got lots of housework to do and I need to get busy. I've been spending too much time playing at the computer instead of doing my housework, so it's a mess. I want to get it cleaned up so it looks like a house and less like a tornado had hit it.

I'm planning on cleaning bathrooms, doing laundry and other stuff and need to get busy, so have a good day, everyone! [:)]

Hi, everyone! I'm doing okay today, except I'm disappointed in myself because of my 1/2 lb. weight gain, but I know that I'll lose it again, if I just get back on my weight loss and exercise program.

I'm staying in the freezing cold house because it's so hot outside that a certain hot place is only a few degrees hotter. [:D] I'll probably do some gardening later today when it's cooler, though.

My doorbell rang just now and I answered it, only to find an employee from a place that I don't do business with asking me where I get my car's oil change done at! I just said something to him about not being interested and shut the door. I DEFINITELY won't give that place any of MY business after such a advertising tactic as that! [:@]

I had a brief devotion today, where I review 1 John 1:9, NKJV, in which God says that "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness." I'm thankful to be able to confess my sins to God and that He forgives me when I repent of them. Jesus said in another verse about forgiving someone 70 x 7, so I think that God forgives us many million times more than that. I just need to believe that He forgives me and also forgive myself more often when I make mistakes, especially when I go off my diet like I've been doing too much of lately. [&:]

Well, I think I'll post some more here, then go track my food at another site, do some exercise, clean house and pick the garden.

I'm so lazy today, I just don't know what to do. I didn't get up until 11 am, didn't have my devotions today yet, feel like doing nothing, just want to go back to bed. It must be the icky, rainy weather.

Yesterday, I did get up early and had devotions. In John 2:15-17 NKJV, God reminded me, "Do not love the world, or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. (16) For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. (17) And the world is passing away, and the lust of it, but he who does the will of God abides forever."

I'll admit that I do love the world in some ways. I love food, especially chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream, pizza, cinnamon rolls, and cats, especially my precious Smokey. Food is one of my lusts of the flesh, since I eat too much of it and tend to think about it all the time. I also spend too much time on the internet, which could be a form of lust of the eyes.

Finally, I admit that I have a pride of life issue, in that I'm very happy and proud of my weight loss efforts. I know that it's okay to feel good about losing weight, but there are times when I've thought of myself in ways that dishonor God because of my prideful feelings. I tend to boast about my weight loss a lot, even here on these boards. I've confessed this sin of pride and asked God for forgiveness. I'm working on ways to be more humble in this area and will start by not bragging about my weight loss efforts so much.

Hi everyone! How are you doing? I'm doing well. I woke up early in the morning, got on the scale, spent some time in devotions, studied God's Word, picked and weeded the garden, and went to church, even though it was hot outside. Usually I make excuses for not going to church, but not today.

I don't know why I'm feeling so good today, but I'm enjoying every minute of it. Well, if you don't count the drive home from church, when I got stuck behind a Sunday driver who was probably on their way to Sunday morning church services and had plenty of time to get there. [&:] I was hungry and tired and didn't need this irritation. [:@]

Anyway, I ate dinner, watched Cops and now I'm here posting the night away. I'm going to have to make sure that I don't stay up too late posting though, as it interferes with my sleep and meal schedules the next day.

Today's devotion focused on the fact that I AM God's child! I found this to be good news, since I have trouble with low self-esteem issues. Even if I'm not as skinny as I want to be, I'm still a valuable person in God's eyes because Jesus died for me and I've accepted Him as my Savior. Whenever I feel depressed or discouraged about my weight-loss efforts, I'll try to keep that in mind.

I'm starting a new Bible study series along with my previous one in the Beatitudes. This one focuses on the Bible verses illustrating what I call Christian Affirmation statements found in Neil Andersen's book, "Victory Over The Darkness". These statements are based on Bible verses that illustrate who we are as God's children and how we can live for Him. Starting with my next post, I'm planning to summarize what I've learned in my Bible study on this topic.

Hello, everyone! How's your day going? My day's going okay, even though I didn't get up until 11 am. I don't know why I slept so late, except maybe I was just tired from staying awake posting here and reading until 2 am. Maybe it's just lazyness, who knows?

What's important is that I'm up and here posting with all of you. I'm excited about a new Bible study series I'm doing that I mentioned about in my last post. It's called "Who Am I?. It's a listing of what I call Christian affirmation statements based on Bible verses and Neil T. Andersen's book, "Victory Over The Darkness". As I embark on this journey with all of you, I'm hoping that all of us, including myself, learn more about how special we are as God's children.

The first one is "I am the salt of the earth". This is based on several verses. The first one is Matthew 5:13 NKJV, which says, "You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men." Also, Mark 9:50, NIV says, "Salt is good, but if it loses its saltiness, how can you make it salty again? Have salt in yourselves and be at peace with one another." Finally, Luke 14:34-35 NIV, mentions that "Salt is good, but if it loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? (35) It is fit neither for the soil nor for the manure pile, it is thrown out."

I believe that Jesus is probably referring to how we are to let our words and conduct reflect Him in our daily lives. In other words, if we "talk the talk, we need to walk the walk." This will help us to be credible witnesses to unbelievers and help them understand why we have the hope we do. I encourage all of you and me to ask God to help us be more Christlike in everything we do, so that our words and conduct might persuade people to ask us how they can know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

In my next post, I plan to discuss who we are as the light of the world. I'm going to post a little while, then do housework and maybe yardwork in the hot sunshine, so have a nice day! [:)]
