Good evening, everybody! I can hardly believe it, but this is my 201th post, on the top of page 9 of this wonderful blog! I hope that today was a good day for you. It was for me. I got up late and weighed in with a 1/2 lb gain, but since I forgot to take my water pill yesterday, I'm not really worried about it. I plan to weigh myself tomorrow morning to get the actual weigh minus the excess water. I also did housework--cleaning bathrooms and dusting. [:'(] It was good exercise, but I don't like doing it and try to get it done as fast as possible, yet still do a good job.

I also did some yardwork, helping my Mom pull up tomato plants and put them in the yardwaste containers for pickup this week. I enjoyed being out in the sunshine and playing with my cat in the grass with his feather teaser. Finally, I played cards with family tonight, which is why I'm here so late. I had a fun time visiting with my relatives and enjoying watching the antics of my relative's young child. We also ate some homemade sugar free pumpkin pie with cool whip. [:)]

Now on a spiritual note, I didn't start my day with devotions like I needed to, but I did remember some Bible verses that helped me resist eating too many carbs throughout the day, even though dinner was tough in that department. The verse that came to mind was the one that I quoted yesterday about temptation. I need to remember that verse more often when tempted to eat too much.

I'm planning to post here a little, then go to bed so that I can get my day started off right with God. I hope and pray that all of you have a good evening and a brighter day tomorrow! [:)]

Hello there, everyone, how are you all tonight? I'm having a wonderful day so far. I weighed myself this morning and found out that I've lost most of the weight that I've gained the week before last. I also went out for a 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 mile walk to the store and back, something I've not been able to do in a LONG time! I'm aching a little from it, but I know that I burned a lot of calories and I'm not as hungry as I thought I'd be.

I was starting to have my personal time with God when an idea hit me, which I believe was from the Holy Spirit. Since I have trouble verbally expressing to others about Jesus, I would write or email them to tell them how He works in my life and explain why they need Jesus as their Savior. I wrote the email and letters, then mailed them at the boxes near the store where I went to. That's the main reason why I went walking today, to mail the letters.

I pray that my relatives will read these letters and emails and give serious consideration to accepting Jesus as their Savior and making Him Lord of their lives. If they just pass it off as some kind of joke made by a nutcase, then at least I know that I've tried. They just won't have any excuse when God asks them someday, "Why did you reject my Son's salvation?"

I encourage any of you who have trouble talking to people about Christ to write to them instead. Be ready to answer them when they ask you why you've sent the letters or emails and pray for the Holy Spirit to guide your words as you write them. Be sure to put in a little testimony about how Christ is working in your lives right now and what He has done for you in the past to help you become the person you are. Hopefully, whoever reads your letters or emails will think about what you've written and turn their lives over to Jesus before it's too late.

I'm going to eat dinner soon, so I'll probably just post a little while. If no company comes tonight, I may get on here again. Either way, I pray that all of you will have a wonderful evening and a pleasant day tomorrow! [:)]

Howdy, folks! How ya doin' tonight? I hope you're doing well. I'm doing pretty good. I've been busy with housework and pulling up plants in the garden. I also ate better today so far. Tonight I've had a few too many carbs, but not as bad as other times. We finished the yummy sugar free pumpkin pie that my Mom made three days ago, so it'll be easier to stay on my healthy eating plan, at least until she bakes another pan of brownies! [:D]

After eating breakfast and feeding cats, I started my day with God, feeding on His Word and enjoying every "bite" of it. Today's meal came from 1 Corinthians 13, particularly verses 4-6 and 11 NKJV. The first three verses talk about the attributes of love, "(4) Love suffers long and is kind, does not envy; does not parade itself, is not puffed up; (5) does not behave rudely, does not seek it's own, is not provoked, thinks no evil, (6) does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; (7) bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. (8) Love never fails..." These verses show me what kind of person I need to be to others and remind me to love others more than myself.

Verse 11 speaks about how I need to relate to things now I'm an adult. It says, "When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child, but when I became a [woman], I put away childish things." I need to remember this the next time I'm tempted to behave or think things in a childish manner. I have the childlike trust in Jesus, but as far as understanding His word, I need to use discretion and perception in how I apply it to my life so that my witness is not compromised.

I'm going to the game site to check out a new game, then I'll come back here if it's God's will. I pray that all of you will have a pleasant evening and a magnificant day tomorrow. Praise the Lord![:)]

I'm here again, everybody! How is your day going? Mine is going okay so far. I got up early, tired, yet eager to start the day with God, after feeding the cats of course. I also ate breakfast since I have to take my calcium pill, which has to be taken with food. I pray that my day will go well, since I have a lot to get done.

My time with the Lord was refreshing and helped me to wake up, along with several cups of half-caff coffee. I focused on the verse from 1 Corinthians 15:33 NKJV, which says, "Do not be deceived, 'Evil company corrupts good habits.'" This verse reminded me of the times that I've spent with unsaved family and friends who curse the Lord and call each other names. Because of this, I have a tendency to say a few curse words myself, (though I never curse God), even when I try not to. I'm concerned that I'll swear or curse in front of other Christians at church or somewhere where I would be feel embarrased. I'm asking God to help me overcome this habit and limit my time around people who practice these things.

I have to get started on my housework now, so I'll try to come back here later. Let's praise our wonderful God, our Savior Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit! Have a wonderful day, everybody!

Good evening, everyone, how was your day today? My day went well. I got up this morning and rushed to get ready to go somewhere, then did yardwork when I arrived home. Carb-wise, I'm at 85 gms right now of the carbs I count. If I'm careful and don't eat dessert or any carb snacks tonight, I'll be all right. I had 1/2 of a cinnamon twist roll and that's what threw me off, along with a dinner roll at lunch.

As for my time with the Lord, that was somewhat brief this morning, but I did pray and read my devotional. I learned about sin and the need to repent from it. I also learned that I can take authority over the devil when he tempts me to eat the high carb foods that I shouldn't eat, as well as in other areas of my life. I can do this through Christ because the devil is a defeated foe who will eventually end up in that awful warm place called hell. I just need to turn to God when I face these temptations, for God says that there is no temptation that I've faced that no one else hasn't had. He will not let me be tempted beyond my ability to bear it and He will provide a way out from under it. I can trust in Him to help me make wise choices in my life today and everyday as I seek to become more like Christ.

I'm goint to be eating dinner, then playing online word games with my relative, then maybe come back here. I hope that all of you will have a pleasant evening and a wonderful, Sonshine day tomorrow! [:)]

Shalom, everybody! How are you this afternoon? (or morning or evening depending on where you live) I'm doing fine so far. I woke up late and didn't go anywhere like I planned to, but at least I'm up and that's what counts. I've only had breakfast so far, but I ate well, just a piece of toast with margarine, light cranberry juice, milk and coffee. Got to have that coffee! [:D] I'm planning on staying on my eating plan strictly today, since I'm weighing in tomorrow. Oh I just remembered, I have to take my water pill and potassium too. I want to lose at least 10 or more lbs by the end of the year and the holidays are coming up, so I need to buckle down and follow my eating and exercise plans better so that I can eat a little more at Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years without damaging my weight loss efforts too much.

I've started two new discussions in forums. The first one is "Convincing Someone That Bible Is True.", which I started in the Bible folder. The other one is "Westboro Baptist and the 7 Churches in Revelation", which I started in the Church folder. These may get moved as I might have started them in the wrong folders, so if you can't find them, then try searching for them. I'll try to get links to them, provided that the mods don't lock them.

Hello everybody, how are you all today? I'm doing fine. I got up early so that I could weigh myself, feed the cats, eat some breakfast and spend time with God. I've lost another 1/2 pound, making my total weight loss 80 lbs. I had lost more than that, but had gained a little of it back due to eating too many carbs and sweets. It's hard to lose weight with all the temptations around my house. My Mom bakes brownies, my favorite sweet thing to eat and hard to resist. She knows that I have trouble resisting them, but because other family members like them, she bakes them anyway. All I can do is put the pan on top of the fridge and pretend that they're not there. [&:]

This brings me to the topic of what God showed me in my devotions this morning. I learned in Luke 22:40, 46 NKJV that I need to "Pray that [I] may not enter into temptation." Since I have difficulty resisting the unhealthy foods that are in my home, I need to ask God to help me overcome the urges to eat them, even if it means offending a loved one, because my health is important to me. With Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years coming up, it will be more important for me to do this, as Christmas cookies almost always call my name when I pass by. [:D]

I'm planning on going to church tonight. I'm also planning to watch the Husker game on TV and do some housework. I hope that all of you will have a wonderful day and remember to praise our Lord always! [:)]

Hi there! How are you all tonight? I've had a pretty good day. I did some computer work, then helped with dinner, then played dominoes with family while watching the World Series game. I hope the Red Sox will win tonight, they deserve it.

My eating habits improved a little too. I'm eating sugar free candy again, just two pieces with coffee in the evening before I go to bed. This will hopefully curb my chocolate cravings so that I don't get into those delicious brownies sitting in the pan on top of the refrigerator.

When I've been spending time with God through devotions and prayer, I've noticed that the Bible verses He draws me toward tend to fall into three general topics that He's working with me on. The first one is learning to trust in Him for my every need and not be afraid of man. This is an area that I've been working on for some time. I'm so afraid of what will happen if certain things happen, so I need to trust in Him to carry me through any rough times I may face and not let people intimidate me.

Another area that I've been working on is forgiving myself and others just as God has forgiven me. This is hard for me to do, because I tend to be down on myself a lot. I also have a good memory of wrongs done to me by others. I just need to pray to God like Jesus did when He was crucified, "Father forgive them, for they know not what they do", and let God deal with them in His own time and way.

Finally, God has been impressing on me the necessity to tell people about Christ. I'm a little nervous about it, but that goes back to my what-will-people-do-to-me fears again. I need to be brave and bold in the Lord and let Him give me the strength to overcome any lack of confidence I have in telling others how Jesus has made a difference in my life. Since I have trouble expressing my thoughts verbally, I've written letters to several people with my concerns for them and outlining the plan of salvation. If they want to discuss it with me, that will give me an opportunity to explain what I wrote in more detail. I plan to do this again if God wants me to and not worry about the potential consequences, because He'll protect me and/or give me strength to endure any persecution I might face for inviting others into His kingdom.

I just looked at the TV and saw that the Boston Red Sox has just won the World Series! I guess I know what Boston fans will be doing tonight. [sm=dance.gif] On that note, I'll say goodnight and hope that all of you will have a good evening and a wonderful, Sonshine day tomorrow! [:)]

Hi, everyone, how are you all tonight? I'm doing fine, except I'm having trouble staying away from carbs again. [&:] Right now I'm eating a full small dish of trail mix, which is a healthy snack, but not in the amount that I'm eating tonight. I'm still needing help in this area of my life.

In the past few days, I was planning what I would wear for a Halloween costume party and dance that I was going to on Wednesday. I was debating between dressing up as a cardboard box, Red Sox or St. Louis Cardinal fan. As I started my devotions this morning though, God reminded me in 1 John 5:18 NKJV that "...whoever is born of God does not sin, but he who has been born of God keeps himself and the wicked one does not touch him." I looked up the references listed with this verse and came up with several other verses about how I should not give in to the world's ways of doing things.

1 Peter 1:22-23 NKJV says "Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart, having been born again, not of corruptible seed, but incorruptible, through the word of God, which lives forever and ever." Also, James 1:27 NKJV reminded me that "pure and undefiled religion is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble and to keep oneself unspotted from the world." (emphasis mine)

I believe that God was telling me through these verses that I was not to participate in Halloween activities, including the costume contest, since that would be celebrating the devil's holiday. Even though I still really want to dress up that day, I will obey God, for what I do for Him is what will matter for eternity.

Hi, everyone, how are you this morning? I'm doing fine. I woke up tired, yet eager to spend time with God. I forgot that I had some bloodwork scheduled at my medical appointment this morning. By the time I realized it, I'd already eaten a yogurt and a cup of cofee with milk in it, so I rescheduled the appointment for another time. [&:]

I also spent time talking with God in depth about people on my prayer list, particularly one of my relatives, who has lost his childlike faith and now believes that the Bible is a book of myths. I tried to debate with him about it, but I ended up feeling like I'd been talking with a brick wall. He needs a lot of prayer to overcome his unbelief and come to Christ, as does most of my family.

In God's Word today, I read John 3:16:21 NKJV which says, "(16) For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (17) For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. (18) He who believes in Him is not condemned, but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. (19) And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. (20) For everyone pracing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds be exposed. (21) But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God."

These verses showed me that I'm not responsible for my relatives' unbelief in God, they are responsible for making a decision to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Therefore, I need to pray for them and when God nudges me, to tell them about Christ's sacrifice no matter what happens.

I'm going to be working in the house and yard today, so I'll probably be back on here tonight later when I play online games with a relative. Have a great and awesome day!

Hi everyone, how are you this morning? I'm not doing so well. I've got a really sore throat and feel like a TOS prohibited word. I'm also under Satanic attack with an 80's secular rock and roll song that has been glued in my mind since yesterday when I heard it on a radio somewhere. [:@] I'm playing Christian music right now to get it out of my mind, but when I stop playing it, that song returns. I'm asking for prayer as I deal with this problem so that I can concentrate on God's Word and serve Him better today.

I did my devotions, but I had some difficulty due to this attack on my mind, so I wasn't able to concentrate as well as I wanted to. I read from John 4:1-38 about the Samaritan woman who believed in Jesus and how the disciples found out about how to harvest souls. I paid particular attention to verses 36-38 NKJV, which says, (36) "And he who reaps receives wages and gathers fruit for eternal life that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together. (37) For in this the saying is true, 'One sows and another reaps'. (38) I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored, others have labored and you have entered into their labors."

These verses showed me that even though my family members may not turn to Christ because I've told them about Jesus, I know that I've planted a seed there. I pray that it takes root in their hearts, so that others may reap the harvest and they will believe in Him. I pray it will be soon, because I don't want any of my family members to perish in hell. [:(]

I'm beginning to wake up now, so I think I'll post here a while, so I wish you all a very good day. May God bless each and everyone of you as you go about His work today! [:)]

Hello, everyone! How are you doing tonight? I'm doing fine. I started off the day by finding out that I didn't gain any weight this past week. However, I didn't lose any either. [&:] I spent time with God and revised my eating plan so that it would work better for me. I also did paperwork and helped Mom with hers--shredding old ones and cleaning my desk, etc. Finally, I'm right here posting with you all!

One of my relatives who knows something about auto mechanics looked at my car and told me that I DON'T have a gas leak, praise the Lord! Now I can drive it again, because I've been hesitant to drive until I knew for sure that it was okay. I think that I will find me a new auto repair shop to take my car to next time something goes wrong with it. The one I've been taking it to has been finding things wrong with it that my relative says are okay, so I know that I'm being taken for a fool! [:@] They've gotten my business and my money for the last time and I plan on finding a more reputable repair shop for future service.

In today's devotions, I learned in 1 Corinthians 16:13-14 NKJV that I should "Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong, let all that you do be done with love." These verses show me that I can be brave and strong in my witness to others by showing them Christ's love through my actions and words. I need to remember this when telling people about Him, especially my family, who've seen me at my worst times in my life when I wasn't the best example of a Christian to them.

I think that some relatives are here to play dominoes, so I have to go. I pray that you will be encouraged by what I wrote here and can meditate on God's Word as you post here tonight. I wish you all a good night and a great day tomorrow, everyone! [:)]

Hi everyone! How are you all today? I'm doing fine. Right now I'm watching "The Biggest Loser", a program which motivates me to continue to lose weight and gives me tips for suceeding at it. I'm also planning to play games online with my relative later tonight, so I'll be away from here a little while. It's been a good day and I hope that my evening will go well.

Today I did a lot of work around the house. I helped my aunt clean the kitchen, dusted all over the house, finished cleaning the bathroom and did my filing and other paperwork. I'm a little sore right now, but it was worth it.

I spent time with God also. In John 4:44 NKJV, it says, "For Jesus Himself testified that a prophet has no honor in his own country." Also, in John 5:24 NKJV, Jesus says, "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life." I believe that God showed me through these verses that He wants me to continue to pray for and witness to my family. They need Him to change their lives and I hope that they will choose life in Jesus, rather than death in hell. I just need to let God work in their lives to bring them to Him, since they won't listen to me. [:(]

I'm being distracted by the program I'm watching, so I'll end this entry by encouraging you to meditate on God's Word tonight before going to sleep, as I will. Have a good evening and a great day tomorrow, everyone!

Hi, everybody, how are you all tonight? I'm doing fine. I've not posted here in my blog in the last few days because I've not had the privacy to do so. I like to post in my blog when other people are not around to see what I'm writing. I also get distracted easily by the TV shows that they and I watch while they're in the same room as this wonderful PC! [:)]

I had a good day today. I went shopping and bought me some new clothes so now I'm motivated to stay on my eating plan. I'd gained 1/2 lb this week, so I know that if I want to lose 10 lbs by December 31st, I need to get working on it.

I'm about to go play online with my relative and doing laundry, so I'll be busy with those two items. I'll be back here later to post here in forums. I also plan to do my devotions tonight and tomorrow morning so that I can share an encouraging word with all of you. In the meantime, I pray that all of you will have fun posting tonight and have a wonderful evening! [:)]

Buenas noches' everyone! How was your evening? I'm doing well right now, except for a little sore throat, probably from all the dust I'm raising as I'm cleaning house for the holidays. I also got a good workout in the yard too. I'm trying to get plenty of exercise and eat better than I've been doing because I bought some new clothes and want to continue to be able to wear them.

I didn't have devotions today because I didn't give myself time to do them, but I plan to spend time with the Lord tonight before going to bed, then tomorrow morning as well. I'm learning lots of things in His Word and I'm praying that I'll retain what I know so that when a crisis comes, I can remember His Word and find peace in Him.

I'm going to read my email if it's God's will, so I'll say good night and have a great day tomorrow.

Hey, everyone! It's a lovely evening tonight isn't it? At least here where I live it's nice. Not too cold, not too hot, just the way I like it.

I'm doing well today. I took a break from housework due to aching muscles and fatigue. I ran myself so ragged yesterday with all the dusting and vacuuming, I was worn out by dinnertime. At least it was a good workout though.

I saw a headline in the paper today that irritates me everytime I hear or read it. It mentioned that an "anti-abortion" group is now endorsing John Edwards for the 2008 Presidential race. I'm annoyed that the news media keeps referring to pro-life advocates as anti-abortionists, when they refer to those supporting the murder of unborn babies as "pro-choice" or "abortion advocates". [:@] According to the law as it exists today, unborn children don't have any rights to live when it comes to the mother's "so-called choice" to rid her body of "fetal tissue". However, in my state, if someone murders a pregnant woman, then he or she could be charged with murder for the deaths of the woman and her unborn child!

I don't know about you, but that doesn't make much sense to me. Why is a unborn baby recognized as valuable and protected from homicide when his mother is killed, yet not protected from being suctioned out or suffer other gross abortion techniques that are inflicted upon them. [:(] Our government is so screwed up, it's any wonder that other countries don't respect us like they used to. It's a sign of the times and it's another one of the signs that this country is headed for somewhere and it's not in any old handbasket! [:@]

Having said all this, I conclude with an appeal to all of you to pray for our country, because we need God's intervention for it to remain a country founded upon Christian principles. Pray for our government leaders for wisdom, protection and guidance as they perform their daily tasks that help keep this country running. Pray for the judges who make decisions about what is fair in our courtrooms. Especially pray for those who violate the Constitution with their outrageous rulings. Finally, pray for our citizens to vote for candidates who best reflect Godly principles and values in their lives.

Good evening, everyone! How are you all tonight? I'm doing pretty good. I've been busy getting my house ready for Thanksgiving by vacuuming, dusting, washing and other things to try to make it a pleasant holiday for everyone. I'm not the official menu planner, but I help with the food preparation and cleanup.

I've not been able to do this much work since having foot problems and getting short of breath from bending over due to my weight. I'm lost enough weight now that I have more energy and feel a lot better than I used to.

I'm want to post more, but "Without A Trace" is on the TV and I'm being distracted by it, so I'll stop here and post either later or tomorrow.

Hi everyone, how are you tonight? I'm doing okay. My cold is getting worse in that now I have laryngitis (sp?). [:@] Despite my cold, I've been busy getting my house cleaned for Thanksgiving. I finished one whole room tonight after working four days on it. Now it's time to work on another room, then another, until it's all done.

I've not been spending time in God's Word like I need to. I've been so busy with housework, I haven't made much time for God. I need to spend more time with Him, so I plan to get up tomorrow morning and have devotions before getting ready for the day. I'll need His comfort and peace as I face the busy days ahead.

This is all I'm posting tonight. Have a good weekend and be sure to go to church this weekend. Due to my cold and bad cough, I'm not going to be able to go, so I plan to study God's Word instead. Goodnight, everybody! [:)]

Good morning, folks! As I sit here writing this, the washing machine is humming, the furnace is running and the lights are shining. Outside, the air is quite fresh and the sun is casting shadows on the leaf-covered ground. What a beautiful day! If it wasn't for my cold, I'd be outside raking the leaves. [;)]

I weighed myself this morning and found that I'd gained two pounds since yesterday morning. Since today is the "official" weigh-in day, however, this is the weight that I will go with. Now that I've tested out my new scale by weighing myself several times in the last few days, it's time for me to celebrate my three pound weight loss since last week and weigh myself on Saturday mornings like I usually do.

This week may be a rough week for me diet-wise. Thanksgiving is a day of feasting, so I need to follow my eating plan the rest of this month so that I can enjoy the good foods on this special day. As far as I know, the menu includes turkey, sugar-free cranberry salad, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes with marshmellows and brown sugar, green bean casserole, homemade crescent rolls and of course the most important part, sugar-free PUMPKIN PIE! [:)] You can see why it would be difficult to stay on my eating plan with all this good food around, especially the rolls, since they will be made from my grandmother's old recipe. This year we're making them both plain and with sesame seeds on them. They are best with poppy seeds, but we're omitting those this year due to some family members' random drug testing job requirements.

Speaking of food, I feasted this morning on God's Word by reading John 6:53-58 NKJV. In these verses, Jesus basicallys says that unless you eat His body and drink His blood, you won't have eternal life. I didn't understand what I was reading, so after I had my devotions, I studied these verses. According to the commentary in my NIV study Bible, as well as other verses, Jesus wasn't saying that taking Communion would save people, but rather, believing in Him and obeying His commands would give them eternal life.

These verses showed me that I need to put into practice what I believe by doing what He says to do: give to the poor if I can, help others, read and study God's Word and tell other's about His salvation for them so that they may come to know Him as Lord and Savior.

Hello there! Welcome to the first day of the week, a beautiful Sunday morning (at least here it is, albeit a little chilly). [:)] I'm having a good day so far. My cold is better, so maybe I can go out somewhere tomorrow and not have to go to the doctor. My Mom and I had a devotional time together, which we haven't done in ages. We read Psalm 41 and prayed for the salvation of unsaved family members. We need to do this more often, so the next quiet Sunday morning we have together, I plan to continue this new activity.

I also fixed my email problem. Last night a family member and I were exchanging emails back and forth, until mine froze up and I couldn't send anymore. [:@] This morning, I did what the pop up box said and now it works! Apparently, I was sending and/or receiving too many emails and the system put a spam alert on my email account for my own protection. I'll have to call my relative or write letters more and email her less I guess. [&:]

Well, I plan to post here a little while before starting my laundry and housecleaning tasks for the day. I wish you all a very bright Sonshine day. May His light shine upon you! [:)]

HAPPY THANKSGIVING DAY!!!

It was a wonderful day to give thanks to our God Who created us in His own image so that we can become His children by believing in His Son, Jesus Christ, as Savior and Lord of our lives. Filled to the brim with good food and feeling like a stuffed turkey, I sit here just thinking of all of the good and bad things that happened in my life that shaped me into the person I am, so that in Christ's image I grow.

Some good things include my acceptance of God's gift of salvation, family, friends, good food, home to live in, clothes, car and other things. Some bad things that I don't like, but that God helped me through include foot problems, car accidents, illness and family problems. Even though I didn't like it that these things were happening to me, I thank God that He brought me through them all.

I conclude this post with the words of an old hymn which expresses what this day is all about:

Count your many blessings, see what God has done.

Hello again, everyone! I hope that today was a good day for you. My day went well. I slept in a little, so I feel rested. My relative's energetic children keep us entertained and we feasted yet again on Thanksgiving leftovers. We did have some very delicious homemade Minestrone soup for a change of pace. I'm feeling a little tired and plan to go to bed at a reasonable time tonight.

Foodwise, I'm doing better than I did the last few days. I had over 200 carb grams on Thanksgiving in just the six rolls and two pieces of sugar free pumpkin pie alone. Yesterday I did a little better, with over 150 carb grams in four rolls and one piece of pumpkin pie. I'm just counting those two food items for those two days because I would feel really discouraged if I tried to count the carb grams of EVERYTHING I ate. [;)]

One of my relatives brought over a cute little eight week-old maltese puppy. [:)] It was so soft and fluffy, cuddled in her sweater sound asleep. I wish that I could upload a picture of her to share with you all, but I don't want to post pictures of my family online without their permission.

Good evening, everyone! (or morning, afternoon, depending on where you are) How is/was your day today? Mine did not go so well. Right now I'm feeling angry about some of the stressful things of the day and so I'm not in a good mood tonight. I need to ask God to help me deal with the stress in my life, but so far, it seems like I'm talking to a brick wall.

I'm dealing with an angry relative with Alzheimers as I watch him go slowly downhill each day. He hollers at me and is so hard headed about things, it's no wonder that he has high blood pressure. I'm praying for his salvation, but most of all, I'm praying that there will be peace in our house and that he will learn to overcome his bad temper. I realize that he is not the same person that he was years ago, but it still bothers me that he treats me like white trash.[:@]

Since I've not been in God's Word lately, I don't have any new encouraging news to share, so I'll stop here and try to read my Bible tonight. Have a good evening or day! [:)]

Hi everyone! I've been posting here so often, I just now noticed that I've been posting here since November 10th of last year! My how time flies! In that time I posted as of this post 2845 posts, which places me well into the Super Member status. I've also learned new techniques to make my time posting here more enjoyable, such as uploading avatars, posting links, reporting TOS offenders (something I've rarely had to do) and above all, honoring God by proclaiming His messages to me through His word in this wonderful blog! I hope that I'll continue to enjoy it here and will try to make others feel welcome. (And of course, obey the TOS, which is easy to do if you read it completely and ask Fritz about anything you don't understand.)

Happy Sunday, everyone! How are you all today? I'm doing fine. Today is a cold, sunny day with a light dusting of snow on the ground. My family and I just finished eating lunch, which included tuna salad sandwiches, bean salad, pickles, cake and cookies from the bakery. My relatives from out of town are going home tomorrow, so we'll go back to our old routines then. I will miss them, but they have their own lives to live and they need to get back to their families.

Because we've had company, I've not been faithful in reading God's Word or praying like I needed to. I've been missing out on the encouraging words that God has for me and I've not been attending church to hear His word like I needed to. Tomorrow I plan to start having my daily devotions and regular Bible reading again so I can find comfort in God's messages of hope, trust and love.

Right now, I'm tired, so I think I'll go and take a nap. I pray that all of you will have a pleasant Sunday and if you can, be sure to go to church. I plan to start going back to church myself next Saturday, weather or health permitting. Have a good day, everyone! [:)]
