Yeah, I know, but I also need calories and I don't know of anything else for a snack with that many calories.

A baked potato cooked in the microwave for 8 minutes and served with butter and shredded cheese?

I need at least 500 calories for a snack, baked potato is close but I need a little bit more than that. I enjoy bagels and english muffins also, but even with butter and jam they are still too low. Milkshakes take the edge off my hunger, without filling me up and high in calories. Plus at my age, the calcium is good.

Hi to everyone! Thanks for checking up on my Betty. Today at 1:00 will be 6 full days without smoking (saved $60-but I don't know where it is). I had a few close calls over the weekend but I was able to resist. How is everyone else doing?

When I look at those numbers, they seem unbelieveable. But like everyone else, I only got there one crave, one hour, and one day at a time. And the freedom is real - tobacco plays absolutely not part of my decision making. The journey was worth those rough spots in the beginning!

Congrats and my kudos to everyone trying to give up the tobacco habit. I work in the federal government (USA) and got this blanket email yesterday on a new policy for smokers: New GSA Smoking Regulation Effective June 19, 2009 The General Services Administration (GSA) published a final regulation that establishes a smoke-free environment for Federal employees and members of the public visiting or using Federal facilities. Effective June 19, 2009, all designated interior smoking areas will be closed and smoking prohibited in courtyards and within twenty-five (25) feet of doorways and air intake ducts in outdoor spaces under the jurisdiction of the Federal Government. The GSA regulation is Title 41, Code of Federal Regulation (CFR) 102-74, "Federal Management Regulation; FMR Case 2008-102-3, Real Property Policies Update - Smoking Restrictions" dated December 19, 2008. The regulation restricts smoking in interior spaces owned, rented, or leased by the executive branch of the Federal Government. The GSA bulletin announcing the regulation can be accessed at https://pcmm.gov/FMRBulletin2009-1onSmoking.pdf

Silverstring= You are so clever! We are so blessed to get to enjoy your gift with words! You are so cool! May I have your permission to use the phrase below in blue , if I give you full credit! I like it so much that I want to share it with others who are in the process of become full-fledged quitstickers too! I'm no quitter, I'm a sticker! I stick with my quit. I'm a quitsticker!
