Hopefully you will not be outdoors that much. Be sure to take some gloves with you and keep your feet warm.

LOL! I just had a funny thought. Brenda is set to find sweaters and John is set to wear his aloha shirts. My parents bought him one when he came (EXACT color of his eyes too) and I got him one for Christmas. Anything to bring out those gorgeous eyes will do.

I am really very concerned about the cold I will confess that to you.

My wardrobe really is not geared toward that kind of weather....

Just pray I do not freeze to death.... truly I am a BIG ole wimp! I wear a sweater, and a jacket when (winces) it is only 60 degrees here.... I was checking temps in Indiana today.....

Well just remember that you won't be spending a whole lot of time outdoors when the temperature is that low ..... and of course, being cold is one of the great excuses to cuddle!!!

Just learn the art of the "subtle shiver:" enough so he knows without a doubt that you're cold (and naturally he'll want to help you with that ), but not so much that it shakes the furniture or causes you to be unable to speak smoothly (too much vibrato just makes a person hard to understand.... unless you're breaking into song!). Sometimes the shiver is best accompanied with the "hold me" look; but that's entirely dependent on the person and the situation, so use of that is at your own risk!!! I'm sure the "subtle shiver" is not a well-known art for most women in SoCal, but now -- since you have a little time before you leave -- you can practice before you get there!

LOL Brenda. 50. Now it doesn't even get that cold HERE. Well, except on the Big Island where it actually snows. I've never experienced it though.

Again....Brenda....

By some isotoner gloves, warm socks and a leather jacket. You will be all set.

Oh, and you might want a hat of some kind too. Keep your feet, hands and head warm and the rest ofyour body will be fine.

I live in Kansas, where I get to experience all four seasons. In the fall when it get to be 50 after a summer and early fall of higher temps then it feels cold. But in the spring, when it reaches 50 after being colder, then 50 is t-shirt weather.

Well, perhaps the ladies' sweater ideas need to be implemented first............. and then when you're properly bundled (or excessively bundled, as the case may need to be... ) and you're STILL cold, then play the "subtle shiver" card. Think of it as your ace-in-the-hole!

(by the way, most guys don't mind too much if their woman grabs them and initiates the cuddling either .... as long as he's not, at that moment, doing something delicate or dangerous such as fixing the computer or chopping wood or using power tools....)

It must not be well-known down here in Florida either, because it hasn't worked for me yet (at least by any of the Florida boys, anyway)

Hmmm.... yes, you're right, I'm sure parts of Florida are missing it too.... those silly guys probably just assume you had a bit too much caffeine that day!!!

Perhaps you'd need to find a transplant from a colder part of the world, or try Brenda-lee's "sonic shiver!"
