Yep, it's nice and cool out. Baking weather. I always get the baking bug as soon as it gets cold out. I think I'll make some pumpkin bread after the brownies are done.

Do any of you have a list for "must see" things in the Dallas area? Or the best places to eat? I am going to be there at the end of November.

You must walk around downtown.. in the daytime... aquarium and museums everywhere. Ft Worth is fun, you can walk around downtown Ft Worth at night by yourself safely and parking is free after 7!

I would suggest the Galleria mall, but it has a big ice skating rink in the middle and I know you don't like the cold.

If you like art, the Dallas Museum of Fine Art is a really good one -- especially the Reeves Collection on the top floor. If you don't do anything else, seeing the Reeves collection is a fantastic experience. In Forth Worth the Kimball Museum and Amon Carter, which are next door to each other, are also really good.

If you go to Dealey plaza, which is where Kennedy was shot, you might also visit the 6th floor museum across the street.

All of that aside, Dallas is about its people and its good food. If you want a real slice of Dallas, go to the Oak Cliff area and eat at one of the restaurants in the Bishop Street area.

I'm pretty pumped right now. Just found out that I get to spend Christmas in Texas. It's been 12 years since I've spent Christmas in Dallas. I know it won't be as pretty as Colorado, but I don't care. I'm going home for Christmas, and I'm pretty excited.

Some of the traditions that my kids don't remember we'll get to experience again. It's also my oldest child's last Christmas living at home, so we thought it was fitting to be with all of the family back where we came from.

Ahhh, there's nothing like a Christmas morning in the cool of the A/C'd air...
