Cynthia, you're from Puget Sound? I was just there a month ago! Check out this pic I just put up on my own blog (and you get to see a pic of yours truly also): Puget Sound

Those are nice pictures. Did you enjoy your time in the beautiful Puget Sound area?

Thanks for the vote, Andrea!

It's so nice to interact with you outside of the "heat" of the other forums.

Cynthia, the scenery of course was very beautiful. But the liberalness of the area was distressing. Combine that with the friend I was visiting drifting from the faith in many ways and that trip was very bittersweet.

But I still had a good time!

I must say, I looked at your avatar and thought, "what a handsome man," then realized that face was familiar. lol

It is hard to remain anonymous when they keep putting my picture up in post offices across the country.

And thank you (In case you're the one who rated me yesterday)! Yes it is nice to have some coffee away from the ring before going back and mixing it up again. I haven't really been too argumentative since the forum change. I'm still warming up to the new digs and people.

I hate the fact that since I'm self-employed, I NEVER get anything back. EVER. And I don't send Uncle a check even TEN seconds before I have to!

Of course you know that means you are doing it exactly right (exacter righter would be no refund AND not writing a check, depending on how hard it is to write that check).

LOL!! Yeah, that's right. I shoot for zero every year. The closest I've ever gotten was $64 in refund. I've only had to pay in once. The biggest refund I've ever gotten was 2K, and that was because we didn't fully understand something new in our income and miscalculated the payment. Nothing worse than getting 2K that you know the government had interest free.

Darcyjo,

I don't blame you for waiting. I have a personal dislike of the IRS. I'd get TOS'd if I gave my unvarnished opinions of that agency.

Bzirk, you are cracking me up. I can't imagine what an unvarnished opinion of yours might be.
Your picture on your avatar is not quite as handsome as Euty's. At least I didn't think at first that it might actually be a picture of you. When I saw Euty's I thought maybe it was his picture until I looked closer and recognized it.

lol...

because I didn't make enough money last year (student), I got a nice big fat $500+ back from the Canadian version of the IRS.

All I can say, is that they could definitely make the forms easier to fill out. I sometimes wonder if they purposefully do things a certain way to make you goof up and therefore owe them money you really don't... and then of course they get to audit you or whatever... never been audited, never want to be.

Steve, I consider it a good day when I still know WHO I am when I go to bed. Where I am isn't nearly as important as it used to be.

Breaking News! Eminem got Jesus...

Lose yourlife, Evangelem

Look,
if you had one shot,
one opportunity
To help save anyone you ever wanted-
One moment
Would you capture it?
or just let it slip?

His palms are sweaty,
knees weak, arms are heavy
There's coffee on his Bible already,
tongue’s spaghetti
He's nervous,
but on the surface
he looks calm and ready
To share the Word,
but he keeps on forgetting
What God wrote down,
the whole crowd
grows so loud
He opens his mouth,
but the words won't come out
He's chokin, how
everybody's jokin now
The clock's run out, time's up-- over, class!
Snap back to reality,
Oh! there goes gravity
Oh! there goes Rabbit, he
choked He's so mad, but he
won't give up that easy,
no He won't have it, he
knows the whole reason He’s
gold It don't matter, he's
sold He knows that, but he
broke He's so sad and he
knows When he goes back to his
mobile home, that's when it's
Back to the Word again
yo This whole Gospel, He
better go capture this moment and hope it don't pass him

[Hook (Twice):]
You better
lose your life
in the Spirit, and God’s Son, He owns you, and yo He’ll never let you go (no!)
You might only get
one shot
do not
miss your chance for God
This opportunity means more than a lifetime
You better

There’re souls escaping,
through holes that are gaping
The harvest’s ripe for the taking—
Hail the King!
as we move toward a
new world order
a natural life is deadly,
but Spiritual life lasts
past the post mortem
It only grows harder,
_ only grows hotter,
Christ draws from all over,
His foes is all on him,
Coast to coast shows,
He's known as the globetrotter
Lonely roads, God only
knows we’re getting closer to home,
Awesome Father
He calls home
and really knows His own daughters
But hold your nose cuz here goes the cold water
Some kids don't want Him no mo,
He's cold product
An they move on to the next schmoe who flows
though they nose dove and hold nada
So the soap opera
is told and unfolds I suppose it's old partna'
but the beat goes on Da da dum da dum da da

[Hook]

No more games,
I'ma change
to what you call Saint
Spread His Good News message
like I can’t wait
I was playing in the beginning,
the mood all changed
I been chewed up and spit out and booed off stage
But I kept trying
an quick findin the next chapter
Best believe Somebody's paid the high price for
All the sin inside
amplified by the
fact That I can't get
by when I try to
fly And I can't
be no how righteous.
Life by my self is canned,
cuz God’s planned Son, this man
did buy life for us
And it's no movie,
there's no Mekhi Phifer,
this is real life
But sometimes it’s so hard
and it gets even harder if I try to feed and water my sin, plus
Seein dishonor caught up
between the Holy Father and my prima donna selfish nature screamin on and
Too much for me to wanna
Stay in one spot
another day of monot-
ny’s gotten me
to the point I'm like a snail I've got
to find my God-given spot
fore more end up in hell or shot
Life is my only God-given option,
Death is not
God, I love you, and sharing I have got
to do –
I cannot grow old
with my Joy in a Box
So here I go it is my shot.
Word fail me not
this maybe the only opportunity that I got

[Hook]

You can do anything God sets your mind to, man

Wow, is that for real? Who'd a thought? Praise God, I wonder what happened. He could reach a lot of kids that he's steered wrong.

Andrea... sorry

I made it all up. .. or at least as fars I know..

I got the idea from this youth conference I went to-- one of the "between speaker entertainment skits" was some guy dressed as Eminem, and doing some sort of re-claimed version of that song. It was really funny.

I'm thinking of posting my real picture but an old one. Like say from about 40 years ago. LOL!! I really like Kath's picture. That's where I got the idea.

Good gracious... I just noticed Joel's avatar.

Joel... Sauron is BAD. I know LOTR is complicated and difficult to follow sometimes, but trust me. Frodo is Good-- and though it seemed like Sauron was watching over him, it was not quite in a friendly way.

Bad. Not Good.

Oh my goodness!!! What was Joel thinking?!!! Bad, Joel, bad. Very bad.

You're unwittingly emanating the forces of the dark side, er, wait, that's another series.

If it is your better understanding of truth, then it's okay. Man, is that an ugly smace or what? It looks like an evil smace. Bad, smace, bad. There I THINK that's a winking smace. For the life of me, I can't figure out what some of these expressions are supposed to be. This one I KNOW.

Oh, me too, me too.

I also miss the yellow smace with the uhhh, beatific grin (ala Garfield). Had to think for a moment about how I've described that smile such that I could post it on Crosswalk.

So, you were waiting behind the bushes to see who'd fall for it? And then here comes the unsuspecting local yocal - Me, snag! I sacrifice my reputation as a know-it-all in deference to your little prank. And just when I was beginning to see M&M's talent... (what is this smace supposed to mean?) Hi Lisa, you used to be a local yocal, till you moved to Colorado. Now you're a wise girl. Is that a CGI tongue? See, I never know when people are foolin'.
