Funny thing happened. I just read Pammy's blog. She hit on the head what I had written up yesterday and decided not to post. It was self pitying and rather negative. Sure, it was a venting of my thoughts and feelings, but last night I had decided to tear it up (cyberly speaking).

Bottom line is I am looking for a second job so Lynn can be at home with Kayla. She is suffering somewhat at school and we feel it is because she misses Nana. Not that Evan and I aren't doing well in taking care of her in the evenings, we just aren't meeting her needs. I think it's a girl thing.

Gonna go by Wally Mart today and pick up an application. There are a ton of new retail stores opening up around there also. I know I can pick up work, at least for the Christmas season if not longer.

I covet your prayers and friendship. Thank you all for being here! I know you would have understood what I wrote yesterday, but even as I wrote it I had in mind that I would delete it. So why even post it in the first place?

((((((((((((((((((((BEN)))))))))))))))))))))))

Just before typing this post, I was kind of wondering if I should put it in my blog. I knew that I didn't want to step on anyone's toes, but when Daddy puts things in our hearts, we have to be obedient.

Praise God that it helped you!

I'll keep you and your family in my prayers. You too are a blessing to us, especially when you dish out jokes! We are here for you and for each other.

Ben, just coming in to tell you that you are being prayed for. I keep uptodate on your thread, but rarely post.
Isn't it interesting, how the Lord keeps us connected to people in here ~ invisible words or visible words, that we are able to 'know' someone.
You are an honorable man and pray that God Blesses you, your wife and Kayla in amazing ways!

Ben, I am deeply touched by how much your love for Kayla and Lynn and your entire family shines through. Sacrificial, enduring, deep abiding love.

And of course, most definitley, y'all are in my prayers.

I'm praying too. I agree with Shar Mar...it's very touching that you care so much more about the needs of your wife and Kayla than your own. I know God will honor that in you. That is truly the epitome of a Godly man.

I'm really praying for blessings you can't even begin to contain to be poured out on your family.

Right now I'm hurt and confused. It's probably a good thing the director and office manager aren't in their offices. I was reclassified and with that was supposed to come a raise. It hasn't shown up, today is payday. Need to figure out how to approach them. Think I'll email them first and ask what's up.

Thank you all for your prayerful support and warm words. It means more than you could know.

And you have more prayers coming your way about the paycheck mix-up. I'm hoping it was an oversight that is easily corrected!

I just looked at the dates, the reclass was okayed on 10/11 and the next pay period started on the 15th. Am thinking maybe there wasn't enough time? Seems there should have been, it's only a piece of paper that has to be turned in....Oh well. I'm gonna ask when I can expect to see it anyway.

Good afternoon.

Well, there was $4.00 available. He is only going to give it in increments every six months. And then I'll be maxed out, well short of parity with what the state pays for the same job. I can somewhat understand the reasoning, but my checkbook still comes up short. So, the second job and maybe another first job is really needed right now. (Man, this is all I need to tell Lynn right now. She is in the dumps enough with depression as it is.)

Money troubles stink.

I have some thoughts that *maybe* you haven't thought yet. Please don't be offended by any of them!

Do you qualify for food stamps? I see nothing wrong with using these if you qualify and are working your tail off already. That's what they're there for! Don't be afraid to ask for help.

Could Lynn watch one or two kids while Kayla is in school? Maybe the extra could be made that way?

I'm just not sure if a second job is the best thing for anyone. When would you rest? When would your family see you? Kayla needs you as well as Lynn, of this I am sure. If there's another way...well, it might just be best for you all.

Sorry for my nosieness.

We make too much Donna. Or rather I make too much. I forget what the cutoff income is, but it is way low. We looked at that already. As for childcare, we live kinda out of the way, not in a town, so there isn't much of a base to get them from. I was thinking more on the lines of what Darcy does, house cleaning. She's done that before, years ago. The new neighbor next door had asked her before she lost her job.

God'll provide, somehow. Rest for the weary also.

How could I ever be offended by nosieness when it is asked out of concern?

Sorry I wasn't much help then. House cleaning could work. Could Lynn work at Kayla's school, thus having the same school schedule as Kayla? Just another random thought...LOL My husband tells me I'm full of them. At least I can't see you looking at me like I have two heads.
