Oh my. Nothing personal Sharon, but I got to go find some kind of avatar to use! I love you and Jeff, but...

and the bunny avatar is on the machine at work. I'll be back.

Well, as usual y'all bring a smile to my face!

I'll think about that Sharon, I was wondering how/if there was some way to get away from the focus on ourselves and be with someone who might be in the same or similar predicament (sp?) as us.

Evan just surprised me! He gave me $5 to put in the offering box at church tomorrow. Said he won some money from a lotto ticket and wanted to share it. Need to get him involved in doing something with us at Christmas...

So cool about Evan!!

I'll be praying for you Ben as you think about some alternatives. I know it isn't easy when traditions are deep. I know I kind of felt listless and down the first year or two that I didn't host our family Christmas Eve after doing it for almost 20 years.

Sharon, I'm glad everyone is back to normal with their avatars too! I didn't realize how much I use that to identify posts!

I want to ask for prayers for Lynn, and myself too. Christmas is coming up and without family or friends nearby it is going to be a really rough one this year. She isn't looking forward to the Christmas music starting on the Christian radio the day after Thanksgiving, and had to be reminded that even without "Anybody" close this year, that Jesus is there all the time. She didn't sound too convinced though.

Kayla will be in Calif from the 20th through the first week of Jan. so there will be that loss also, even though it will also be a break from the routine.

I broke my little toe last night when we were playing tag. For such a small toe it sure does hurt big when it's in a shoe.

ouch! man, I HATE when that happens! and there's not a darn thing to do for a broken toe either....well, they usually tape it to the toe next to it, but that's it.

No more tag for you Ben!

Well, didja catch the little bugger? Or didja hop around on one bunny foot trying not to say naughty words?

I don't suppose your boss would let you wear sandals to work, would he? That would probably help your poor little toe feel a tad better.

My slippers! I couldn't wear my tennis shoes so I ended up in a pair of boots that have a lot of room (just not enough) in the foot. But my slippers would have been perfect!

No. I didn't catch that little booger! I ended up on the couch pulling my sock off. She came and saw and told Nana that my toe was swollen.

You were playing tag in the house???!!!

As a mom who should make a recording of her voice saying, "We don't run in the house, boys!", I say it serves you right! If I were Lynn, you'd have more than a broken toe.

You've lost all my sympathy now, Ben.

Oh my Ben!! Ouchy!! I can truly empathize with you. I could never stand being taped. I just wore as loose a shoe/whatever as I could find if I had to have something on otherwise just a sock or barefoot at home.

Praying it doesn't take toooo long.

Just popped in to say Hi and bye. *sigh*

I'll have you know that Lynn was involved in this game. In fact she instigated it and demanded I participate!

I expect as much from Karlie, but from you Beckey? A friend and neighbor?

Finally, someone who understands and has that thing we should all have called SYMPATHY!

Thank you Sharon.

I *had* sympathy. Until I heard you were running in the house. Some things I just cannot tolerate, and I must say the punishment definitely fit the crime.

All in good fun, of course. I really am sorry you broke your toe.

Ben, hope your toe doesn't take too long to heal.

How are you all doing?
