yes it's a sin.

romans 14:17
For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

Hey, I know a song with those words, but it would be a sin to sing it since it's got an annoying melody.

You know...I was just thinking. If you bought too many groceries, that would be considered gluttony, hence sinful.

There should be a church commission convened to determine the correct amount of groceries that one may purchase before becoming sinful.

I can't believe you all call yourselves Christians! I am horrified at the judgmental attitudes shown here! Jesus loves everyone, and you should show more grace! Stop judging people, or you are going to end up in the hot place!

(How'd I do?)

P.S. Please do not report me to the moderators. That would also be judgmental, not to mention embarrassing. Especially since I am one.

But doesn't Christian Capitalism say you should spend as much as possible so that other people will have your money? Aren't we obligated to waste money so that others might be enriched?

Around here you would be lucky to buy any pork products because cashiers of a certain faith refuse to even scan the merchandise.

So for some it's a grievous sin.

Wow. How bout if you scan it for them? It ain't hard - run it past the laser.

Or just go to the self-checkouts.

Couldn't that be a stumbling block for someone though? I just don't know...

Customers have been asked to scan their own, or else the cashier calls over another person to do it.

I would want a discount if I had to scan my own groceries, part of the price of a product is to pay the cashiers.

Yes, pride would result from the fact that you could do it, while someone else couldn't.

Jesus said "Man shall not live on bread alone."

Don't forget the PB&J.

Does the "no pork products rule" only apply to "people food?"

What if you were buying a "pig ear" for your puppy dog? Would they be able to "scan" that without being offended?

More importantly, "is" putting "random words" into "air quotes" a "sin?"

Is it a sin to try to scan your kids to see what the suggested manufacturer's retail price is?

Why do stores frown on grocery cart races in the parking lot?

What is turkey bowling, and does it involve live or frozen turkeys?

It is a "sin" to include "punctuation" in "air quotes" unless the "entire sentence" is part of the "quote".

Are "you" "sure"? I "always" get "confused" by "that" rule "of" grammar.

On "The Simpsons" when Maggie is "scanned" during the opening "credits" the "price" is $847.63. This is "based" on the "average price" of "infant-rearing" per "month" in "1989" when the show "debuted".

Grocery shopping is sinful if you spend more than 10% of your income on groceries because you would be spending more money on food than giving to God and thus honoring food more than God which would be idolatrous and I have another question: are run-on sentences sinful?

Am I sensing a pattern here? Have I stumbled into the twilight zone or have I found the secret hide-away were the moderators blow off steam?

Will they report me to the senior members? Should I lay low? Perhaps I'll just slink away to the produce section wearing a green shirt so that I'll blend in with the salads and read Revelations while waiting for the rapture.

As long as it isn't blue.

(Ok, so I actually have no idea what pork rinds are, but I assume they are pork products.)
Close . . . they're pork by-products.
