Greetings to everyone; I'm pleased to be here.

Name: Most folks call me "Hey You" but my birth certificate reads "Bryan."

Location: Notchicago, Illinois, United States of America

What do you enjoy doing?: Hiking, running, cycling--anything to keep fit while savoring the outdoors and maintaining some degree of solitude. Reading: books, magazines, billboards, leaflets, cereal boxes, produce labels--my love for the written word might fairly be deemed excessive. Gardening helps with relaxation while family visits and Mass attendance renew a sense of joy and purpose.

Tell us a little about yourself: Twenty-nine year old German-Irishman dwelling in a land of Irish-Germans. Melancholy and introverted by nature, I devote myself to agriculture by day and derive nocturnal amusement from a range of odd jobs. Fancy myself a freelance scientist and armchair philosopher, but anyone with real knowledge of these disciplines would rightly regard my efforts with pity...or scorn.

Welcome DeProfundis...........It is great to have you here.

There are several people postings in singles who love hiking, running and even cycling......

I look forward to reading your post.....

I am very excited you love to read since I am known, affectionately I am sure, as a rambler who makes long post.

Many, understandably, do not have time or enjoy reading long post.........so to find someone who openly admits he enjoys reading is very exciting for me....

Again welcome and I look forward to getting to know you better through your post.

Oh btw........Living in Illinois positions you to take advantage of the GT which is being held in Indiana.........As you get to know people better I hope you will give some thought and prayer to possibly attending.........

Location: A remote igloo in Alaska ;)

How long have you been posting/lurking?: Ahh, well this is my first post and I guess I started lurking earlier today.

What do you enjoy doing?: All kinds of stuff! Anything outdoors: hiking, hunting, fishing, camping, exploring, bbq'ing, ect... traveling, listening to music, reading, going to movies, playing video games, playing cards...

Tell us a little about yourself: Im 28, never been married, I gave my life to the Lord November 5th 2000, my favorite color is orange and if I had to pick my favorite scripture right now it would be Philippians 4:6-7 "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." :)

Yes I have been Anchorage.........I loved it.

I flew into Anchorage, rented a car, drove up parks highway to Denali, then to Fairbanks, took the Richardson down to Valdez where I caught the ferry to Whittier. I then drove to Seaward, Homer and back up to Anchorage...... I saw and did as many things as time would allow as I did my loop.........it was a blast and I look forward to visiting again.

Welcome, Ry! When I was growing up I lived in Anchorage as well. We drove the Alcan highway back to Illinois. What a trip.

Location: East Texas (and yes, I DO have horses!)

How long have you been posting/lurking?: I just got here and jumped in with two feet.

What do you enjoy doing?: Working on this farm... the gardening, animal care & training, riding horses, a campfire, the outdoors, fresh air, serenity and seeing God's great creation surrounding me on every side. Sharing God's great promises with others.

Tell us a little about yourself By the great grace of Almighty God, I landed gently on this quiet little farm in Texas to enjoy the Lord's peace and share the hope of the gospel with others. Like a bird in a hurricane, my earlier years took me on a whirlwind career involving everything from securities/investments to international marketing to foreign policy/national security. My depraved journey spanned from Fifth Avenue to Picadilly Circus to Capital Hill... in a lust for empty, worldly satisfaction. But then one day the winds stopped, the quiet voice of the Lord was heard and I was carried safely to this quiet little haven where daily, I walk and talk with the Lord. My life today is all about being prepared to feed those who hunger and thirst - first with food and drink for a weary body, but even more so, with the bread of life and living water for a parched and famished spirit. All I am, all I have, is the Lord's.

Please tell us a little bit about yourself and scroll up to see who has been posting here.

All the info is optional but just to get us started... feel free to add or leave things off.

How long have you been posting/lurking?: A couple of years

What do you enjoy doing?: reading, walking, bicycling, hiking, working/playing with young children, gardening, crafts.

Tell us a little about yourself:
I am divorced mother with a son (8). I work full-time so I stay busy. I like to be active in my church but for right now I am extremely overwhelmed since my son has started school and meeting all his needs. I have had to put a "lot of the things" I like to do on hold for awhile so now I am starting to make new friends and interest.

How long have you been posting/lurking?: I just started lol

What do you enjoy doing?: Hanging out, going to church events, talking and being with my kids, reading, watching movies and snuggling on the sofa (just me and my blankey at this point), basically just hanging out with those who are Christians and want to glorify the Lord in all that they do.

Tell us a little about yourself: Well this is the part that is hard for me but I will give it the old college try.
I am a 37yr old divorced single mom of two wonderfully challenging children who are 15, and 12. I am a woman of dignity who has MUCH drama on a continuous basis. There is never a dull moment in my home or in my life. Ya know how people say leave your luggage and walk away; or leave it at home? Well I can do that for very SHORT periods of time. Right now however I am in the middle of a criminal dilema with my son and just need to decompress with someone who can make me laugh and hold me when I cry.
I love to read, sing, and sometimes I write about what is going on in the form of poems that I just simply do not think about they just come to mind and I write (type) them down. I am not much of a sports person but I have been known to toss the ball around with my kids on occassion.
I LOVE dogs and definitely want to get to know someone who feels the same way. I am not a clean freak at all; I like to feel as though my home is lived in and does not look as though you cannot touch anything.
I am an open book and believe in complete honesty and faithfullness and ask that those who are around me do the same.

I hope that I did not scare anyone off with all the stuff that is going on right now because I really need someone who I can type to, call, go out for coffee with and just have some fun. I love to laugh, and I can even laugh at myself when I trip over AIR! You know what I am talking about right? When you trip for absolutely NO reason? Or end up hitting the tip of your shoe on the sidewalk and it makes you sortta stumble?
I am told that I am a very funny person and I have a lot to offer the people in my life. I am a giving person and will sometimes give to much of myself to others.
Thank you to those who read my post and may God Bless you and your family!

Welcome, Jodi! Didn't scare me off one bit... I've got a 20-year-old so I know a little about drama. This is a great place to just decompress, laugh, cry, and whatever else you need at the moment. Find some threads that interest you and jump right in.

Hi All,

I am brand new here. I'll answer the intro questions:

Name: Fred Pascarelli

Location: Frisco TX

How long have you been posting/lurking?: just today

What do you enjoy doing?: too many things to mention - just ask

Tell us a little about yourself: I am a Christian single dad with 2 kids, ages 12 and 13. I work as a software developer and I get to work from home! I spend my time on work, my kids (I get them half the time), family, friends etc. I have lots of interests and also spend time a lot of time as the organizer of a meetup group that I started last year, called Dallas Christian Singles. We have almost 1600 members so that keeps me real busy. In the middle of all that, I'm also the campaign manager for a candidate running for City Council in Frisco. Busy.... :)

I was checking out the different radio stations to see which ones had a bulletin board that I could post an event on. I didn't see one for The Word, but thought it was very cool that they have an active messageboard area.

Thanks for reading my post and feel free to give me a shout!

Be Blessed,
Fred
