I think all y'all are beautiful!!! Y'all are just GORGEOUS!!!!! of course, that's all based on your hearts and spirits. (I've seen Maggie in real life, and I do think she is very pretty too!)

I've seen Maggie's picture and agree with Christine. Trish, I was joking when I wrote that. I honestly don't care what anybody thinks. God made me this way and I know He thinks I'm beautiful. That's all that matters. And from where I'm sitting you've got one of the most beautiful hearts around.

there's a children's worship song that goes something to the effect of: In His time, in His time, He makes all thing beautiful in His time. Lord, my life to You I bring, May each song I have to sing, Be to You a lovely thing, in Your time.

I've seen Maggie's picture and agree with Christine. Thanks, Christine and Bill! Really, beauty is more than what shows on the outside. Someone in the city puts together a glossy magazine that, I suppose, is paid for by the advertisers because it comes free in the mailbox. One side is for men and the other for women. Anyway, apparently they have a beauty contest every year and accept nominations. But the beauty they're looking for is inner beauty which really impressed me. I didn't expect that from the secular world, I guess. quote:
I think all y'all are beautiful!!! Y'all are just GORGEOUS!!!!! I agree.

Hi. Don is back at the nursing home. He's much better, relatively speaking. He has his memory back. He has to use oxygen all of the time. It makes me sad at different levels. Interesting comments. What do you all think about those experiments where they turn an attractive person into an overweight, plain jane and not one passerby stopped to give her directions. same with male. everyone stopped for the attractive persons. It was on Dr. Phil, I think. I'm afraid I've avoided crossing paths with the less desirable, although I may be one of them in my own way. Am I the only sligty uppity person here? I'm more comfortable staying to myself.

I think I have that tendency also, which is one of the things that makes CW so good--we see people for who they are inside, rather than outside. I do have to say, however, that I also have the opposite problem. If someone is too attractive or too well put-together, I avoid them because I'm certain someone like that wouldn't want anything to do with someone like me. I'm glad Don is doing better.

I'm glad Don's doing better. I'm with Maggie. Look at the person on the inside, not just on the outside. That's where Jesus looks.

Well, here we are in the midst of another weekend. I have a couple hours of silence while the boys are at a workday youth thing with church. Tim has given up TV, which isn't a bad thing. He's been using the computer more, however. With summer fast approaching, I am going to need to put some boundries in place. Otherwise, I won't have computer time, plus when he gets to clapping and finger drumming, it's invasive on my nerves, not to mention my aides. Speaking of aides, beginning Monday, my evening aide, an independent, btw Deb, willl be my day aide as well. She knew I hadn't been thrilled with my aides since Shannon. She wasn't happy with her day client. She's a good worker and a Christian. Not the connection I felt with Shannon, though. Just the day after I made the oral agreement with Beany, the agency sent an A++ aide. Amazingly, A++ agreed to do my weekends. So, it looks like things are shaping; who knows what might happen next. I have dvds enough for every evening this week. Most are from the library. I requested several Dr.. Quinn. I have four hours between aides. Yesterday was a nice day so I took myself to the library, then went to the shopping center. I forgot to get bananas. Bananas are great for filling, healthy breakfasts. I just noticed that my ID expired last year on my birthday. No one noticed, this time, but I need to get that taken care of asap. The Flex route goes over there, so I can even go this week...now that I looked for my birth certificate and it was where I thought it was. Actually, that's how I learned I didn't have a bona fide birth certificate. If I used my ID more regularly, I probably wouldn't let it expire, then I would never had known. Time to check e-mail.

Great news, Marsha . . . I know they won't replace Shannon, but at least it sounds like they will be good. So what other DVDs will you be watching?

Oh, it's an icky, overcast day today, gang. Don't know about you, but I need that sunshine to feel my best. I was disappointed in both movies I watched this weekend, P.S. I Love You and Daddy's Little Girls. Now I have four or five Dr. Quinn dvds, start on one this evening. I do believe I like those better than Little House on the Prarie ....i wish that annoying spellcheck were still on. Sometimes my mind draws a blank. i also got a biography from the church library about a missionary to West Virginia. The boys and I hung around a bit because we had to go to a graduation party and didn't want to drive home and back, due to gas prices. It was nice, but a little chilly.

Interesting...I always liked Little House more than Dr. Quinn. But we're all different. I was glad she finally married Sully.

Hi, Deb. Don's doing well at the moment. He no longer needs oxygen 24/7, but needs several hours daily. He came on the bus Wednesday for a few hours and will hopefully make it today. It does my heart good when he feels well, even though his favorite thing is using the computer. i'm good, except for my blood pressure. It read 285/180,....even the doctor admitted that couldn't be. She's ordered my blood pressure monitered 3x's a week for a month. We're having great weather and I enjoy getting out. However, I don't have the great adventures that Deb and John do. Back when the kids were young and Don was stronger, we had fun. Not to minimize the joy of a stroll on a sunny day to the library or Towne Square, however small. I think the first season of Dr. Quinn was my favorite. I am running out of things to watch. I've tried to get back into reading, not so successfully, yet. Well, it's time to get off for dh

Hi Marsha! Good to see you on here, and it's good to hear you're enjoying the nice weather -- so am I! Tho I've been doing a lot of work inside, it's still great to have the windows open and see all the sunshine pouring in. Yeah, I'd say something was terribly wrong with that reading! Wow!! . . hope it goes back to normal soon, tho, whatever it is. Enjoy your time with Don . . sure is great to hear he's doing better.

Hi Marsha. I loved both Dr Quinn, and Little House On The Prairie. I think I liked Little House better, but Dr Quinn was a very close second. Marsha, if your blood pressure was as high as you thought, you'd be in hospital by now. That had to be wrong. Enjoy your time with Don.

Hope that blood pressure reading was wrong. Two years ago, John's was frighteningly high. They changed his meds, and they both lowered his blood pressure and increased his stamina!

I got an e-mail from a cousin saying that she heard that my sister had been or is in the hospital and would have to have a defibulator if medication doesn't help. Shows how mucfh of a relationship I have wiith her. I can't call long distance...I don't recall canceling my service...no outstanding bills. I like my weekend aide.

Yikes about your sister, and grr about the mysteriously vanishing long-distance service. I hope your cousin will keep you updated. I pray for your sister's healing.
