Please pray for my sister, Cheryl. She needs strength, wisdom and clarity. Her husband deserted her and their children. Her attorney took her money and now refuses to show up for court, so she can get support. She filed papers with the state, but the won't do anything. She tried to get food stamps, but they don't believe she makes no money. She has applied for job after job and has not got on yet. She is at her wits end and frankly so am I.

Russ is going up on our roof to finish the chimney this morning. It is four stories up and is a steep barn shape roof. He will be repelling (no, he does not have nay rock climbing experience) down when he is finished. I am the only one here to "help". Please pray for his safety.

Please pray for my heat pump.

We knew that the AC part was close to failing and had plans to replace the unit with Tax money. It stopped working yesterday evening. I will call the pastor Friday and ask for names of the Heat/AC men in the church as my man is in Iraq. *sigh*

Please pray for my dh. He has a job interview at 10:30 Pacific time this morning. Please pray that he isn't nervous, that he answers the questions really well and that the interview panel sees him as a great choice for the position. And... pray that if the Lord wills that he will be offered the job at a high salary.

Thank you.

I would like to ask for prayer for my Dh. He's going through a very rough season in his life, and he's no longer walking with the Lord (hasn't been for most of our marriage). Just would like prayer that he would return to the Lord, and that he'd let Jesus back into his life and help him through this time. Thank you

Pray for some friends of ours..their daughter is Sweetlips' dearest best friend....they are having some REALLY big marital issues right now....pray that God will heal their marriage, and give them both wisdom and understanding of each other and themselves, and that He will protect their young daughter's (Sweetlips' friend, Honeycake) through all of this. (there isn't any infidelity, but they are separated at the moment).

THANKS!

We also have good friends who are separated. They live in another state, and we have not seen them in 3 or 4 years. We will be seeing them over Christmas. This really breaks my heart that they are separted, and the way that she talks, it sounds so permanent. This couple was such a big part of our lives, and their daughter is still my DD's best friend.
Please pray that I have the grace to be a loving, suppostive friend, but also help her see that they need to work things out, if at all possible. I know that she needs both.

Also pray for ME....I am dealing with another toxic attack from my mom and I am not handling it well at all this time around. I am weary physically, emotionally and mentally...and I am not coping well with this at this time.

I am at the point where I don't care if I hear or see her EVER again.

Please pray for our family. Dd is becoming unstable again (she has bipolar disorder). There needs to be some mega changes made with her meds, and we aren't sure how well she'll cope with it. Also, one of our sons is showing signs of being bipolar as well. We are praying for a relatively calm Christmas.

My girls are going away this weekend for a youth retreat. They will be gone from 6:00 tonight (although we are leaving the house in about a half hour) until almost 4 on Sunday afternoon. They won't actually get home until about 8 on Sunday night since it's DD1's bday so we are celebrating with her grandparents, then she's going out to dinner with her dad.

DD1 starts school on Monday.
DD2 is uncertain about the whole thing. I know she will have fun but she is scared to go. None of her other 6th grade friends are going.

My dh and I are going to a marriage retreat January 22-25 and we would appreciate prayers for a time of healing and refreshing. We are in the middle of a heated battle and we need the equipping in a big way.

God has been blessing our relationship as we have come to acknowledge and repent of our sins having to do with this crisis in our family. Our son has renewed his commitment to the Lord as well. In this we praise Jesus for His goodness to us!

My dd however is steadfast in her rebellion against the Lord and deceived to the point where she calls evil good and good evil.

My own daughter to whom I taught the Word of God day and night, for whom I labored in prayer and in deed with the intent of her salvation and dedication to the Lord, this same child has completely turned against the truth. Please say a prayer for her repentance and deliverance as if she were your own.

Prayer request:

My mil was admitted to the hospital today and she may have lung cancer (and possible congestive heart failure).

Please prayer for a miracle of healing (she is age 78 and a widow) and for protection while in the hospital. If you could also pray for wisdom, discernment and understanding for the doctors, nurses, lab tech's, etc....

Also, please remember my dh....he will only be home a few more days before he is sent to another state to work for several weeks.

Thank you for your prayers!

Praise report: the cell phone company reports the last time my daughter's cell made or received a call from a MD area code was January 5th. She also seems much more focused on the Lord and serving Him in her speech and conduct. I am so happy to type this update!

NOthing super serious but DD2 spilled her box of earrings (she just got them pierced in Oct). She found them all except for one from her favorite pair. I pray she finds them soon for her peace of mind and before someone steps on it and breaks it.

ETA: I found the earring on the bathroom counter. She says she hadn't been in the bathroom since she spilled them and I know she hasn't worn them in a week. I saw it after I took a bath.

I don't know this family personally, but they are heavy on my heart tonight so thought I'd ask you guys to pray also.

Homeschool family in the area with 9 kids from tiny baby to 17...mom died from a pulmonary embolism related to the last pregnancy. 7 of the kids will be starting school tomorrow at the Christian school, though in my understanding the family are not believers. A church is covering the tuition for all of them and Dad was happy to keep them in a smaller environment. Please pray for this family as they go on living without their Mom/Wife, and that the school/church will be a safe and loving place for all of them.

Thanks.

A lady who dh worked with died last Thursday night. She had ankle surgery a week before & apparently a blood clot traveled to her heart. She was 39. The on-base memorial is Wednesday & the Funeral Friday. Please pray for everyone she worked with and of course for her family. She lived with her mom & took care of her. Dh said her mom has lost 2 other children also. On a positive note, she was a Christian woman - so we know where she is now!

Praise report- My dh and I just returned from our Marriage Intensive Weekend and it was a very profitable use of our time and money! It was perfect timing for us as we were both ready to make whatever changes necessary, but especially dh was still a little unclear on the who and why. The seminar cleared up things, building on the foundation laid down in the books.

We left with joyful hearts and with confident expectation of a bright future together. So....YAY! And thank you to all who were praying.

As far as my daughter, she is still going to the mailbox, waiting for a letter from the boy and hoping God will turn this sow's ear into a silk purse. BUT we are praying that she will lose all desire for this boy and that God will keep a wall between them so high and wide that neither will ever find a way over or around it. So we still welcome any prayers on her behalf.

We would appreciate prayer as we are having another heartfelt talk with our daughter. We know for a fact she is talking to M again and lying to us about it. Even worse, he has moved back into our area, jobless, penniless and living with "friends".

We are trusting in God and doing what we can to help her find repentance. This journey is taking a lot longer than I would like!

I'd like prayer for a grandma & wheelchair bound grandpa that is going to start home schooling their 15 yr old grandson. I'm worried they will quit and give up. His heart is not right spiritually. And... of course.... when people jump into homeschooling they get all kinds of acedemic advice which, at this point, should be the least of their concerns. I guess I want prayer for strength and wisdom and long suffering for them. Also, an understanding of what homeschooling really is.

I have an unspoken prayer request regarding my hubby and our house. We are meeting with his boss (he is taking us out to dinner) on Tuesday. I know that my secret prayer is not reasonable, but I can't seem to help getting my hopes us. So, I guess I need prayer that I accept God's will in our situation, no matter what. Thanks!

Update: The first part of our talk with our daughter went well. We have decided to do this in installments, so it won't be overwhelming. We plan on sharing more with her tomorrow night.
