Are you saying you don't believe these people's stories? The demons are real and they do have power, like Satan's to "tear us to pieces like a raging lion". I have a healthy respect for that. Please don't try to discredit those who have gone through horrific experiences. On the other hand, I know that Satan and his demons can only do things with God's permission. I think this kind of thing serves as a warning to not take lightly the kingdom of darkness. As stated in the book of Jude: 8In the very same way, these dreamers pollute their own bodies, reject authority and slander celestial beings. 9But even the archangel Michael, when he was disputing with the devil about the body of Moses, did not dare to bring a slanderous accusation against him, but said, “The Lord rebuke you!” 10Yet these men speak abusively against whatever they do not understand; and what things they do understand by instinct, like unreasoning animals—these are the very things that destroy them.
But you are right, Walker311, that this stuff does take the focus off of Christ! Of course, it brings glory to Satan and that is what he wants, and it gives him power, in a way. But this thread is about people sharing experiences that they have gone through, not dismissing people's experiences. I wouldn't simply call it "balderdash"
As for alien sightings, do you mean to say that all the people who claim to have witnessed such paranormal activities are either lying or delusional? Is it not possible that demons are behind those too? If we just shrug our shoulders and say it's all bunk, we are not giving an answer to people who, because of some personal experience, need an explanation. If we won't listen to or believe them, why should they listen to or believe us when we talk about a man who paid the price for all our sins, and rose from the dead?

I have never seen a ghost, or what I thought to be a ghost. My experiences involve extreme feelings of foreboding or fear that come from nowhere.
Like once my brother and I stopped at an old house on a country road. We passed by it every day but never thought to stop.. it was deserted. But it appeared that someone was starting to remodel it and we stopped to look it check it out.
There was drywall on the front porch, other building materials strewn around and everything looked normal. We went from room to room, admiring this old country home.
Then we went into the kitchen. There was a door in the floor. An opening to a root cellar, or underground storage area just beneath the kitchen. I assume it was used to store canned goods or vegetables or what ever.
But!! When my brother opened the door to this cellar... I've never experienced such a feeling come over me. It just hit me like a ton of lead and I said, "Tim, I'm getting outta here!!" "Let's go!!" So we did.
This was many years ago and I don't live near the old house anymore. But for the several years I did live near the house, I never noticed that the people ever finished the remodeling job and as far as I know the old house still stands abandoned.
Wierd, huh?!!

I have lived through my share of earthquakes, and one serious fire. The fire was extremely scary, but for good reason. Not like the inexplicable terror I felt on several occasions "that came from nowhere" and "for no apparent reason."
I won't go into the specifics, but I will say that more than once I was not the only one who felt it.
