Yes, something very odd happened to me the other day. I was sitting at home alone watching TV when suddenly I turned the channel and Baam!! A cold chill went down my spine. I don't mean to sound as though I am poking fun at you all. I just thought some humor would be welcomed.....that is, as long as you are not a Wolverine fan.

Having said that, I have not personally experienced such paranormal activity, however, I believe it exists just the same. From what I can ascertain, such activity needs human permission to exist. For example, as Christians we need to give God permission to work in our lives via faith. In fact, withouth faith his hands are tied in many respects in terms of intervening in our lives. I think it is the same for the other side. Humans need to give the demonic realm the go ahead sign in order to work in our lives as well. This is why I think paranormal activity occurs in places where tragic events have occured such as a war or suicide etc., etc. Also, places where the occult is practices seems to have increased activity. In all of these examples, people have conjured up such activity via their own free will. For example, I hear that one of the most haunted places on earth is Gettysburg. I think it is because it is the sight of one of the bloodiest battles ever fought in US history.

Demons are real and have real effects on the physical world, but as always they are subject to Christ's name.

Americans have become almost blind to the spirit world, but people who live in Africa and other similar places know how very real it is.

I have heard of beds being moved, fortunes told, and green mists- all related to demons. I myself have felt their presence at times. I can tell how many are in the room, and it is frightening.

Friends of mine have had experiences with demons and the only advice I can give is to trust Jesus. Invoke His name now as you have never done before. He has the will and power to protect you, you do not. Love casts out all fear. What do Satan and his minions breeed on more than fear? So love God and trust Him. He is our Father and he will protect us.

I do believe that we can feel evil presences. i also believe that when we feel that, those feelings are from God, as a warning. Demons are manifestations of our own fears. if we allow them, they will show up. if we allow God's presence, Guess what? He will show up too. Often times, we as Christians use demons as an excuse-something to blame life's events on rather than looking at how we contributed to the situation. Someone referenced the scripture of the 70. The boat is being missed and twisted. JC did not give authority to us-He gave it to them to fulfill His purpose at that time. We walk a fine line deciding that He has given us His powers. Why would He do that? He died on the cross for us-we haven't made that sacrifice. It's arrogant to believe that He would give us those powers. Our job is to live and glorify Him-not demon busting. we simply are not that powerful. Christ is in me and that is all the power I need.
He showed me that one night when I was traumatized by fear. I was a little girl. I prayed and literally felt His huge hand slide underneath me, cradling me. The fear was gone. No need to search for power elsewhere. He's proved it time and time again.

My good friend Kathy, flew my wife Evie and I to Phoenix thursday for our 27th wedding anniversary. She put us up at a Golf resort, and spoiled us every day we were there, including a suprise night, which included front row seats for the Doobie Brothers. It was a great show.

The room we stayed in was incredible. Large bedroom, Large living room and kitchen, and separate bathroom attached to a giant inroom jaccuzzi tub. The grounds had an incredible pool with full food bar etc. Weight room, and golf course (being re-seeded, but walkable).

Well, I guess with all good things there is always something to challenge a perfect weekend, and in our case... the room was haunted.

We didn't see anything, or have anything move, but we were bombarded each night from 1 a.m. till 4:30 a.m. with very loud door slams, wall creaks, and movement that could be heard moving from room to room to room.

The first few nights, I didn't give it much though, especially being woken up from a sound sleep abruptly, and then the radical noises, I brushed off to ground movement, or high winds, but it was not so, and as I figured it out (by Monday morning (Early Monday A.M. was very disturbing), I realized something was not right.

I told the people at the front desk what had been happening, and their response was.. "this golf resort was build on an old indian burial site... would you,like our resident exorcist to come to you room, or would you like another room in a different building (they were only joking about the resident exocist).

I thought about it and decided to stay in it for the last night. I tried to wait up, but fell asleep. No sweat.. by 12:30 this very strong presence of FEAR showed up with a loud rack on the side of the wall. This was not on the side of the Condo where other condos were attached, and we were on the second floor, and the noise was from the wall near the top inside by my bedroom.

I hit the light switch and decided enough was enough. I left the bedroom and walked into the dark living room and then down the hall towards the front door.

I proclaimed..
"You are not welcome here in Jesus Name. I proceeded to quote scriptures as well. I could feel that presence, and continued to praise God for his goodness, and proclaim that Jesus lives inside of me, and nothing can harm Christ, and that He gives his Angels charge over me, and the battle is the Lords (not mine) etc.

I was created for such a time as this and refused to live in fear, especially when the scriptures state we are not to live in fear of anything but God himself (the one who can destroy the body and the soul).

So I sat down in the living room after making it known, that spirit was not allowed to be in that condo with Evie and I. I then started looking up every refference on Peace and reading them out loud. I read for 2 hours, and after 3 a.m. I decided I had done enough reading and talking to my Father and decided to go back to sleep.

As I set my sights on the bedroom where Evie was sleeping soundly, the wall nearest her made a sound (from the outside of the wall) of 4 abrupt knocks which woke her up, and then it quickly went to my side of the room (from outside) amd bashed the wall there.

After that I stated.. you sure are obnoxious.. I laughed and smiled at Evie, and fell asleep until 5:30 when I was woken up again and I believe it was as that whatever it was, was leaving, but leaving from outside the condo.

I slept till about 8:30 and got up. Told the front desk of my nights adventure, and I have left out a few more radical slams in this story etc. that had happened last night.

God is all we are to fear, and when a spirit of fear comes, we can only run to God, and his word, and find comfort in the word, and just as I praised my Father, because the word states, He inhabits the praises of his people, and He inhabited my praises and I was filled with his peace.

It was a very long night.

It's good to be home.
