Well since I am 25lb overweight and that is how much I should/could gain if I was prego, I am having good practice. LOL! So I would like to get down, for me, because I feel better and I can do more, and becuase I don't want to start a pregnancy that high. So any weight I lose would only be a benefit to me.

Hey, y'all might be like me and lose weight after pregnancy without really trying I'm 10 pounds below my pre-pregnancy weight, but I haven't changed any of my diet or exercise habits. I fully expect to put the weight back on after we stop breastfeeding, though

We're still very actively preventing. I get a little scared about getting pregnant again. I mean, I'd love another child, but we don't have the financial means to have one at this time. It wouldn't be the end of the world, but it would be hard...

Ok I am totally in this group 100% again. LOL! The temp job I am working at, they are opening the position and I can interview for it. I would like the interviews to be over before we try again. I would be able to get hired on in Oct (because it really takes that long in community College!) I don't think it would stop them from hiring me, but I just feel better.

It ruins my date though. I really dont' want a Sept or Christmas baby.

stinker.. LOL!

I am thinking we could try Sept - Nov, then if notthing, we would prevent and then try again after April. I would like that better anyway, was it would give me more time in the job before having the baby. But not good because I would be older. :(

I go back and forth on when to ttc for that reason too - more time working vs. being older. Sigh. I think the age has won DH over though and we'll start sooner than later, but of course it's all in God's time!

Yeah that is my issue right now. I am 38 in Sept. I want at least 2 and so I think if I get the job, we will just let what happen, happen.

Amy, I lost a lot of weight without trying after each of my babies. I have yet to gain any of it back after stopping breastfeeding.

We are still actively preventing and will be for the rest of our lives. But, of course, this morning I took a test (only 9dpo, but I got a positive that early with Rhys) and it was neg after 3 minutes, so I was satisfied and went back to my other things. Then I looked at it almost 20 mins later, and there is a faint faint faint ghost line. Please tell me this is an evap line!! It's not that I don't want a baby, I don't want the severe depression that comes with a baby for me afterwards. It was bad enough this time, I shudder to think about what it might be like the next time.

Most pregnancy tests I've ever taken tell me to ignore any results after 10 minutes. You can always test again in a week, but I wouldn't worry about the 20 minute result.

We are actively preventing, because I'm in school and we're not in a good place financially right now. I only have one year of school left though, yay!

Well I am NOT pregnant. Started yesterday. YAY! and boo. Having a period is never fun, but reassuring. Glad it will mostly be over by the time we go on vacation!

I haven't had a period yet, and Beth will be 8 months tomorrow. In an act of desperation, I've ceased taking the mini pill. I have no moral problems with it (and don't care to debate it here at CW), but my sex drive has been non existent. That's not terribly surprising for a mom with 2 kids under 3, but I feel compelled to try and grasp at straws to improve the situation. dH and I talked about it and we're switching to condoms for 2 months as a test and see if it has any effect.

Where is vacation, Kathryn?

I read on a TTC/preg message board that some women had success taking Royal Jelly to improve their CM production and libido. I decided to try it for the CM reason, but it might be worth a shot for you, too. I have always thought Royal Jelly was a lot of hogwash, but it was $5 at Walmart for a bottle of 60, so why not. Supposedly it takes about a month to 6 weeks to kick in with the libido boost.

I don't know how they work for libido, but I know that carrots can increase CF.

Kathryn....you don't have to answer if you don't want to...but I was just wandering. If you plan to not have more kids (and I TOTALLY understand your reasons), would you choose to have something more permanent done? (you or hubby). Or do you plan to just keep preventing with other methods for forever?

I am sort of looking forward to my period starting. The last two days I have been very emotional/grumpy about work, and if my period would just start then the sooner it would be over...

Ok, so I know I'm a tad early.....but I WILL be back in this thread as soon as this baby is born. My husband will have 5-7 months with the baby before he is deployed, and I don't under any circumstances want to get pregnant before he leaves. Oh goodness, my head hurts just thinking about it.

On Monday, we talked to my doctor about it. Since it is just a short period of time and then we will go back to whatever happens, happens when DH gets back, we are just gonna use condoms. I had kicked around the idea of a diaphram, but they sort of talked us out of that. Pretty expensive to prevent for a short period of time.

Cinderella....here is hoping aunt flo starts soon!

That is a discussion hubby and I keep having. I want something permanent done. If any of us would have something it would be him. He is totally against me getting something done, but I am ok with it. He is still deciding on if he wants someone with a knife that close to his 'goods'. I am so afraid the only way he'll get something done is if I get pregnant again and end up with PPD even worse than last time (read my blog). So, yes, that is an on going discussion. I'm trying to pursuade him by having 'free' sex when I am infertile right before my period (we temp and chart). We'll see. I cannot push him on this issue or he'll dig in and say a big resounding "NO".
