I've used benadryl and I've also used the P.M. pain meds. Sometimes they help, but there are nights when nothing works.

Yes, gotta put humor into it. The thing I hate most about it is having to show up w/o deoderant. I can't stand to go out in public w/o my deoderant on! k

I just had mine a few weeks ago, and they had wipes there so you could wipe of any deodorant if you had put it on in the morning. I have to go back in for an ultrasound, as I was warned would happen because I have cyst "disease".

Welcome back, Aunt Flo! Thanks for deciding to show up at the first of the week rather than at the end of the week, so that you can totally rob me of all effectiveness on the job! Where's my Midol?!!! k

I've been told that often a daughter follow her mom's hormonal pattern. Of course menopause was never mentioned around our home. So I didn't know until I had to fill out Mother's paperwork for a drs. appointment that she was 48 years old when menopause started with her and that was the same age for me. I've now gone a complete year without a period. Believe me, I have told my daughters everything I have learned and experienced. Now approaching 50, I can definitely tell a change in my body. Don't be afraid to read up on perimenopause because that started with me at age 42. Everyone thought I was too young but I knew something was going on. When I asked my Dr. to do a hormonal profile, he also thought I was too young but when the results came back he told me I was right. I've always been in tune with my body and can tell when their is a slight change, even a cold coming on. Also in my situation, my dr. told me that stress had been a determining factor in early menopause. I've struggled since the age of 42 because of not wanting to go on HRT with all the reports. However, sitting here at this moment I'm having 2nd thoughts about HRT. I constantly feel nervous and I have no reason to be. My job is not stressful and I also feel it in my eyes if that makes sense. I've taken my blood pressure and it is 120/80. Hormones!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I understand Deb. Somedays I want more babies and some days I'm glad that God stopped me when He did.

LIKED BREASTFEEDING?!!! I'm afraid that was not a joyous time for me. My son never could get enough & I developed mastitis. That was 23 years ago & I still remember it like it was yesterday. k

Well, it's not for everyone. I loved it though. I do understand that it's not for every mom though.

Not trying to whine here, but in my case under other circumstances the experience might have been better. I was a single mom living w/ my parents. It was uncomfortable & my mother was a constant interference. I think in its appropriate environment, w/ a husband, I may have enjoyed the experience more. k
