Well, since the beginning of reality shows (like Survivor) alliances have been a part of the drama, so I can't ever see that not being a part of the program. Yeah, it gets old, but for it to be actually eliminated, viewership would go down. To have a show focus totally on weight loss & no drama, you would have to move the show to Discovery Health. kd

last nights was boring What happened last night? We were out & couldn't record it. What was the big hulabaloo (from the advertisements) about the women's weight loss? And what was the thing that Allison revealed that would "change the game" (I'm sort of tired of hearing that phrase - they seem to use it almost every week). Who left? or did they not reveal that? We have friends who went to the casting call here in Oklahoma. They said it was a lot of fun, but very chaotic. The wife was shocked that she was one of the smallest people there & she says needs to lose 90 pounds. I'd like to see them just do an all female season.

spoiler in white. highlight to read Dan only lost 1 pound and the girls lost more than that so they voted him off . The guys were trying to get the two girls voted off.. He lost 125 pounds total and moved out to LA to pursue his music career.

I'm tired of hearing that too, but I wonder if they are suffering in their ratings being up at the same time as "Dancing with the Stars"?

It was a piece of cake that dan was told to carry around and he would find out what is was used for at the next challenge. so they dragged out twenty minutes of dan carrying around a piece of cake to the gym (see this was the boring part even though i tivoed it) then the challenge was to run up stadium stairs and grab junk food and put it on someone elses table. lowest calorie count on the table would win..so that's why he needed to keep the piece of cake. then the winner had the option of winning money or a 1 pound pass.

What's killing this show is that it's still two hours all season long. That's why all this ridiculous drama comes in. You know, if they hadn't wasted time on Jillian's fall from grace two weeks ago, they would have had time for the elimination. I recorded last night's show, show I don't know all that happened, but at least they got the elimination in. I usually wind up watching the tape on Saturday morning because I have no other time to watch it. I prefer to watch AI because it is live, so I tape Biggest Loser since it's okay to wait till the weekend to catch up. kd

I'm glad to see Dan The Man gone; he seemed to me to be too cocky for his own good. Also, Kelly to me is a whiner. I'm rooting for Ali to win. Julie

They could do this show in 30 minutes, that's why I have to tivo it because its dragged out so much. I don't like Kelly either.

ORIGINAL: wareaglekd ... Jillian's fall from grace two weeks ago... You mean the scene where she was actually "real" and emotional, and stood up for her people, and put the contrived, plastic DRAMA of this show in it's place? I loved it!!! But I agree with all the other posts. As much as I like this show, 2 hours a week is way too long.

I'm really surprised Ali and Kelly are still in it. Tonight was really hard on everybody with the 2 brothers being up for elimination. There's only one more show and then the finale, right? And what were they talking about with America deciding who the final third player will be? Will the public get to vote somebody back onto the show?

I think that 2 of them will be safe & 2 will fall below the dreaded "yellow line". Instead of having the 2 safe contestants vote, they will have numbers for viewers to call in & vote. At least that's how I envision it (but I've been known to be wrong before)!

I'd say Roger is the most likely to win but it would be cool to see Ali win it. I'm not really a fan of Kelly either, but she could have a good shot at winning because she still has a lot of weight to lose.

First time for a female winner - maybe. My biggest concern right now is that Ali & Mark, in my opinion, don't need to lose anymore weight. Did you notice Ali's shoulders? She has no cheeks left! I'm almost concerned at this point that they are headed to anorexia. It's one thing for men, but for women like Ali & Kelly losing nearly 100 pounds in 4 months, I think it's kind of pushing it. It would be nice to win that money, but at the risk of hurting themselves, I'm not so sure. kd

I totally agree, wareagle. I was telling hubby last night that I don't see how they could lose any more for the finale weigh in. I can see a tiny bit (very tiny) of what might be fat (maybe) in Ali's lower legs, but you can't really decide to lose weight there. Mark is kind of out of options, I think. They are both really tiny.

I would like to see Ali win!! She looks absolutely beautiful!! I am very proud of the hard work she's done...she's truly an inspiration. I didn't like the twist where Ali and Kelly couldn't vote off Roger. That stunk. So I voted for Mark to be in the final. I think those girls have worked just as hard as the guys, but the guys always end up winning. Just stinks.

I'm SOOOOO happy for Ali! This give me faith in the show again. I was kind of thinking it couldn't be done by a woman, like the formulas weren't taking everything into consideration or something.

I had to tape it because my VCR is goofed up & wouldn't pick up my Fox station. I was watching the end of Hell's Kitchen when the tape popped out, so I immediately flipped over in time to see Ali on the scales. Amazing. What was her weight difference between the time she left the ranch & the finale? I have watched the first 35-40 minutes or so, so I'm looking forward to seeing all the weigh-in. It seemed several didn't do as well, as most have in the past, but at least they have made an accomplishment. kd
