Below is the link to the Bible verse thread that I began back in June and that I mentioned in an earlier post on this "so-called" blog. I try to post a new Bible verse about once a week. Click on the following link: Bible Verse and Discussion Thread

Well... things are going okay. I'm back in school for the Fall Semester and I'm just really hoping that I do as good (if not better) this semester as I did the last semester I attended college (which was this past spring). The other day, while I was at the doctor's office for a doc appointment, my doctor told me that he believes that I have carpal tunnel syndrome. I'm wearing wrist braces and taking medication, so I hope that it really helps b/c I really don't want to have any injections or surgeries. I need to stop typing now because it's starting to hurt very badly.

In reference to my carpal tunnel syndrome: I have been wearing night-time wrist braces during the night while I sleep, and just by doing that alone it has helped tremendously! Since I have been wearing the night-time wrist braces throughout the night(s), I have rarely had problems with my wrists hurting and I feel that is one less burden which God has spared me and has lifted off my shoulders. I am so very blessed in many, many ways and I should always remember to remind myself each and every day to give thanks to God and to praise Him for the many blessings that He has given me. Unfortunately, I don't always remember to remind myself every day how very, very much the Lord has blessed me & my life. I believe that it is very very important to be thankful unto the Lord and to remain thankful to the Lord in good times as well as in bad times. I am not always thankful and I really need to work on changing my (sometimes) negative and ungrateful attitude to a positive and VERY thankful attitude. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving Day (which is a good reminder of how thankful I should be each and every day - 365 days of the year) and it is a day that all Christians (and every person) should take a moment (at LEAST a moment) to pause and be thankful for all the blessings in their lives (even if it is to be thankful for just being alive). Thank you God for all your amazing blessings that you have bestowed upon me and that you have brought into my life! You are an awesome and righteous God who should be worshipped, honored, and praised; feared, revered, and respected; loved, trusted, and adored! You are mighty. You are just. You are forgiving; and you are perfect in every possible way. All the earth and the heavens above praise your Name and worship You, Lord. You and You alone are worthy to be praised. Thank You for Your Son, that He died on the cross to take the world's sins upon Himself to save all mankind whom openly accpet Him. Please help me to be a more honest and zealous Christian; to live for You and for You alone; to put my complete and utter trust in You - all my hopes, dreams, and all my faith in You; and to KNOW that you willl always be there for me just like you always have been there for me, whether I have realized it or not. You love all your children and you love all of your creation Lord. You should be loved and worshipped by all! Please forgive us (myself and all mankind) for our sins that we commit against you and help us to "go and sin no more". In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Proverbs 12:11 (NIV) - He who works the land will have abundant food, but he who chases fantasies lacks judgment. Tonight I thought to myself, “I really need to read my Bible tonight! I haven’t made time lately to read my Bible.” Alright, so I locate my NIV Teen Study Bible (even though I am no long a “teen”) and I open my Bible and begin flipping through the pages. As I’m flipping through the pages I come to the book of Proverbs and noticed one of the verses on one of the pages is highlighted in yellow and beside it is written the date when I choose to highlight the verse (which was September 28th, 2006). The verse that I am referring to is the one I have typed out above -- Proverbs 12:11. When I read this I thought to myself, “Am I one who chases ‘Fantasies’?”…. What does this verse mean by fantasies, anyway? I wondered to myself if it meant the same thing as a person’s dream (such as it may be someone’s dream to some day become a doctor)? However, I didn’t think that this verse was implying that or that the word “fantasies” in this verse meant the same as someone “following their dreams”. Although since I wasn’t sure, I looked it up in different translations and I found in the New Kings James translation of the Bible that instead of the word “fantasies” that translation used instead the word “frivolity”. Since the word frivolity means “trivial; of little importance; and lacking in seriousness”, for some reason I thought that the verse made more sense to me when using that word “frivolity” than to use the word “fantasies”. Maybe another way to word this could be, “A hard working person will reap what he sows and receive his reward, but a person of idleness/laziness, whom toils their life away, is not wise and lacks the sense to be productive.” I don’t know. It’s just something that made me think and I thought that I should type out my thought and post it here in my CW blog.

Well, this past college Spring school semester has ended and now the Fall school semester awaits me (a few months from now). I'm not sure how well I did in the classes that I took this past semester. I need to check on that, but I'm afraid to. I'm worried that I failed (if not one, then both of) the classes that I attempted last semester. I'll have to check it eventually, though. Anyway, I have a list of "chores" & etc. that I need to complete today (from my "To Do" list that I wrote out for myself a few hours or so ago), so I need to get back to that list. Au revoir!

Psalm 23 The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul. He guides me in the path of righteousness for his name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Psalm 23:1-6 (NIV)
