"I will pour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the Spirit of grace and of supplication, so that they will look on Me whom they have pierced; and they will mourn for Him, as one mourns for an only son, and they will weep bitterly over Him like the bitter weeping over a firstborn. Zechariah 12:10 And again another Scripture saith, They shall look on him whom they pierced. (Joh 19:37) For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord. (Mat 23:39) And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God. (Zec 13:9) Those who survive the end of the last week and enter into the millennium in human bodies will be those from the tribes of Judah and Israel plus whatever gentile who are saved at the very last before the 7th trumpet In Messiah, Bob

ORIGINAL: WilliamtheConqueror Robert Gundry in The Church and the Tribulation (1974), espouses the Post Tribulational viewpoint. He allegedly solves the dilemma of who will enter the millennium in their natural bodies by claiming that "they shall look upon Him whom they pierced.." (I believe that is in Ezekiel but I could be wrong) will repent when they see Christ coming in the clouds and thus will not be destroyed with the rest of the world. He says these will make up the 144,000 who enter the millennium in natural bodies. Ryrie wrote a rebuttal to this in Bib Sac in 1974. Greetings quote:
He allegedly solves the dilemma of who will enter the millennium in their natural bodies by claiming that "they shall look upon Him whom they pierced.." (I believe that is in Ezekiel but I could be wrong) Re 1:7 Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen. The key to this verse is every eye will see Him When Paul gives the revelation concerning the dead in Christ and we who are alive and remain... who are caught up to meet the Lord in the air.. The differences in those prophetic teachings is that Paul has shown us that we will be caught up in the twinkling of an eye ... that had nothing to do with Rev 1 above... because Rev 1 says every eye will see Him Since the rapture is discerned by revelation, then how is it possible we are going to see Him (Rev 1) along with those who remain on the earth… when we are caught up the twinkling of an eye?? There seems to be a lot of confusion concerning the Rapture and the Second Coming of Christ - they are two different situations: the Rapture happens about 3-1/2 years into the Tribulation (before the AntiChrist is revealed), and the Second Coming of Christ happens after the 7 years tribulation is fulfilled & after the battle of Armageddon. I have done extensive study and research on Prophecy over the past 33 years, and below is what I have been convinced of while reading Scripture and seeking God's take on the unfolding events: *The Church Era (Matthew 16:16 - 18 & Acts 2) *The Rapture of the Church: which will happen 3-1/2 years into the Tribulation timeframe - they will not suffer the wrath to come (1 Thessalonians 4:13 - 17) *The Judgment Seat of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:10) *The Tribulation: Scripture tells us that the Church will be taken out of this happening 3-1/2 years into it (Matthew 24:21, 22; 2 Thessalonians 5:1 - 8 & Revelation 4 - 19) *The Battle of Armageddon: which cannot take place while the Church is on earth (Revelation 16:16 & 19:19) *The Second Coming of Yeshua (Matthew 24:29 - 31) *The Sheep/Goat Judgment (Matthew 25:31 - 44) *The Kingdom Age - known as the Millenium: Yeshua will be King of Kings and Lord of Lords and WE will reign with Him as Satan is bound for 1000 years (Isaiah 11:1 - 9; Daniel 2:44 & revelation 20:4 - 6) *Satan's release: at the end of the Millennium (Revelation 20:7 - 9) *The Great White Throne Judgment: earth destroyed/Book of Life opened/final Judgment of all unbelievers/destruction of Satan and those who denied Yeshua (Reveation 20:10 - 15) *The beginning of Eternity with Yeshua: a New Heaven and Earth/an end to all sorrow, pain, death, and night (Revelation 21 - 22)

I see no confusion. Man teaches Rapture. Scripture teaches Resurrection. Luckily, as a pre-tribber I marked passages with a large R in the margin and now as a former pre-tribber I don't have to change anything because what I was told was rapture is resurrection. My R's are retained. yahoo. Take verses like "we shall rise to meet him in the air." That's all it says, we read into it from our doctrines. But it just says we will rise to meet the Lord in the air when he returns. It says nothing more and nothing less.

Two different happenings ... two different time frames. The Scriptures have much to say on both happenings. Dan 9:24-27 24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. 25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times. 26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. 27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. KJV Allow me to give you a more sure word of prophecy: Yeshua` Himself is the KEY to the "gap" in the Shaavu`im Shiv`im (the 70 sevens) of Dani'el's prophecy in Dan. 9:24-27. The 70 sevens CONTINUE through the "ministry" of the Messiah's first coming. He offered Himself as Isra'el's King, but they rejected Him, and He likewise rejected them at that time, having this to say: Matt 23:37-39 37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! 38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. 39 For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord. KJV He left them until the Jews of Yerushalayim shall say, "Baruwk haba' b'shem ADONAI!" Thus, the 3-1/2 years of His ministry are the first half of the last Shavu`ah Echad (one seven), and it is HE who caused the "sacrifice and the oblation to cease." Observe: Matt 27:50-53 50 Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. 51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; 52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, 53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many. KJV The oblations and the sacrifices are NOTHING if ADONAI does not accept them! They are just slaughtering of animals with no meaning. Heb 10:8-22 8 Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law; 9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second. 10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. 11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: 12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; 13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool. 14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. 15 Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before, 16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; 17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. 18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. 19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, 20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; 21 And having an high priest over the house of God; 22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. KJV Don't follow the mixed-up view that some "Antichrist" will come and cause the sacrifice to cease. The REAL Messiah--the REAL Christ--has already done it! Therefore, half of the last week IS OVER! We are only looking forward to the end of the Times of the Goyim when the last half of the week will continue. The Rapture is merely a STAGE of the Resurrection! It is a "mass transit system" to get us to Isra'el for the Marriage of the Lamb! We will be gathered from all over the world by His Messengers and transported THROUGH THE HEAVENS--THROUGH THE SKIES (1 Thes. 4:13-17; 1 Cor. 15:50-54)--to Isra'el to land with Him at Bozrah first (Isa. 63:1) and then to charge with Him through all the towns of Y'hudah (Zech 12:7) until He finally arrives in the vicinity of haHar HaZeitiym (the Mount of Olives), splits the mount with an earthquake for an escape route, (Zech. 14:1-5) and then charges into Yerushalayim through the East Gate (Ezek. 43:1-7) unburied and opened by the rift to rescue His people from Yerushalayim's occupation. He will then drive out the enemies into the Valley of Yizre`'el ("Jezreel") even up to haHar Megiddown ("Armageddon"), the Tel of Megiddo, where they think they will be able to regroup against the Messiah. There, they will meet their end. (Rev. 16:16-19:21) It is AFTER this happens, that Yeshua` will take His rightful place as HaMelekh Yisra'el, the King of Isra'el. THEN, the land will no more be called "`Azuwvaah" ("Forsaken") but will be called "Heftsiy-vaah" ("My Delight is in Her")! No more will it be called "Shmaamaah" ("Desolate") but it will be called "B`uwlaah" ("Beulah=Married")! THAT is the Bride of the Messiah! (Isa. 62:4-5) ALL believers, both Jew and Gentile, will be with Him and shall worship Him! I hope you can follow all that; I know it's a bit too much at once, but I get excited for the soon return of HaMashiach Elohiym! (the Messiah of God), HaMelekh Yisra'el! (the King of Isra'el!) In the Messiah's love, Roy

Shalom, Retrobyter. I enjoy studying prophecy, so I am not confused at all. I have been been taught of Yeshua since 1978 :-) When we are Raptured, we will meet Yeshua in the air to be whisked away to the Banquet of the Lamb: the Bridal Supper, if you will :-) John 14:1 – 3; 1 Corinthians 15:50 – 54; 1 Thessalonians 4:13 – 17 This is an Imminent happening – Yeshua comes to claim His Bride (the Church). When we are removed, only unbelievers are left to continue through the Tribulation period. The Church will be “caught up in the air” and this will happen before the “day of wrath”. This is sudden/is instantaneous/and leaves the world in confusion and chaos. The Rapture is the EXPECTATION of the Church: “The Lord is near” (Philippians 4:5); The Jews that have not accepted Yeshua (the Observant-Law Jews) living in Israel at this time on earth will rebuild the Temple and begin Temple observances again (the sacred Temple items are all ready to be placed for worship, and the Red Heifer is reportedly being bred for perfect sacrifice again; this lines up with God’s Will for this timeframe) and the peoples of the earth, left behind who are not saved, will look towards Israel for hope of salvation before Yeshua’s Second Coming (Revelation 7; 11:1 – 13; 13 - 14). Revelation 14:1 – 20 reminds us of the importance of this sealed group of Jews. Their standing on mount Zion with the Lamb tells us of God’s protection. Their singing of the new song tells us of God’s purchase. And the statements describing them tell us of God’s purpose for them. Israel is described frequently as a virgin (main point is moral purity). After the Bridegroom suddenly whisks the Church away to safety and the Bridal Supper, Israel’s destiny will to initiate a great harvest at the end of the Tribulation period: both Jews and Gentiles that remain and turn to God during this time of hell on earth, will die for their devotion to God. They will not worship the beast. The only time we read of the Rapture occurrence is in the New Covenant. I believe we are very near this happening in our lifetimes :-) The Second Coming of Yeshua is when He - and WE - WILL RETURN to begin the His Kingdom reign in New Jerusalem. Zechariah 14:1 – 11; Matthew 24:29 – 44; Revelation 19:11 – 21; 20 – 22. This happening is not Imminent – this is the Resurrection of those who died for their faith in God during the Tribulation period, & the Second Coming of Yeshua, when He will return to the earth and set up His Kingdom (we who were Raptured will return with Him, to reign with Him – along with the Resurrected Tribulation saints). This is clearly revealed in both the Old and the New Covenants. This happening takes place after the Tribulation period (or the “day of wrath: Revelation 1:7). Two different happenings ... two different time frames. Both the glorious hope and promise of the Church. The difference between the Rapture and the Second Coming of Christ is that Believers will not experience death in the Rapture and they will before The Second Coming occurs. I hope that I am in the Rapture! I cannot wait to see my Lord’s face and to dance with my Bridegroom: I pray I am worthy of the bride price He paid for me … I gladly give all I have, and all I am, for His love. ~sureclarity http://therealjesus-sureclarity.blogspot.com/ http://mwhosit.livejournal.com/

First, that the Marriage Supper of the Lamb, "the Banquet of the Lamb, or the Bridal Supper," as you put it, is in "Heaven" during the 7 years of Tribulation. Let me give you a few scenarios that may change your mind. First, the very first miracle that Yeshua` performed was at the wedding feast of the marriage at Cana in the lower Galiyl or Galilee as it is now called. Remember the words of the householder who noticed the newly made wine? John 2:9-10 9 When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom, 10 And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now. KJV Okay, that sets the stage. Second, what did Yeshua` say to His disciples at the Last Supper before His death? Matt 26:29 29 But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom. KJV Mark 14:25 25 Verily I say unto you, I will drink no more of the fruit of the vine, until that day that I drink it new in the kingdom of God. KJV Luke 22:17 18 For I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come. KJV So, WHEN is the Marriage Supper of the Lamb? As I said in my last post, 'It is AFTER this happens, that Yeshua` will take His rightful place as HaMelekh Yisra'el, the King of Isra'el. (Isa. 62:4-5) ALL believers, both Jew and Gentile, will be with Him and shall worship Him!' Let's read it again: Isa 62:1-7 1 For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth. 2 And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the Lord shall name. 3 Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God. 4 Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzi-bah, and thy land Beulah: for the Lord delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married. 5 For as a young man marrieth a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee: and as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee. 6 I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the Lord, keep not silence, 7 And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth. KJV Now, let's look at Revelation in this light: Rev 19:6-14 6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. 7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. 8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. 9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God. 10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. 11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. 12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. 13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. 14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. KJV Look how the "armies" are dressed! They are dressed in fine linen, white and clean! They're not coming from the Marriage Supper; they're on their way TO the Marriage Supper! Now, read the rest of the chapter: Rev 19:15-21 15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND Lord OF LordS. 17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God; 18 That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great. 19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army. 20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. 21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh. KJV Thus, it would make better sense that the Marriage of the Lamb is not until AFTER His arrival in Yerushalayim, Isra'el, as the New King. Wine is served at wedding feasts in Isra'el, and He promised He wouldn't drink wine until He drank it new with them IN HIS FATHER'S KINGDOM! (More points to come....) In the Messiah's love, Roy
