Any idea what it cost to employ a federal employee? Let alone the system itself... Like I said... A drop in the bucket

It always boils down to cold hard cash. "In God We Trust"?

How much do you think these illegals have to pay others to smuggle them across? It is much more than $1000. Believe it! The whole argument is not based solely on money. What about lack of healthcare for citizens? What about the overtaxed Medicaid system? What about the percentage of illegals who are breaking laws and being incarcerated? What about respect for the law to begin with?

I never complained about the cost, I just made the point of who is actually paying for it...

Would an American put up with being treated as a criminal when you try to do things the right way, the legal way?

You're fingerprinted and photographed because you "may" be a criminal. You have to fill out tons of forms that have the same information on each one.

You mean like I had to do for my last three jobs or when i joined the military or like I had to do this past week to meet the criteria for a TWIC card so that i can continue to work at my present location?

You mean getting a physical like i had to do for the last three jobs and every year at my current job and to join the military and every year i was in the military. Some of those times I was even given my physical by female doctors, oh the horror.

The OTHER African-American perspective...

quote:

Obama, following in the footsteps of his white ancestors, is also part of the Democratic Party that: (1) fought to keep blacks in slavery; (2) started the Ku Klux Klan to lynch and terrorize Republicans—black and white; (3) passed the discriminatory Black Codes and Jim Crow laws; (4) fought every piece of civil rights legislation from the 1860's to the 1960's; and (5) attacked Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and other civil rights protesters with skin-burning fire hoses and vicious dogs.

sign.........., anyone that has studied why the whites in the south left the Democrat Party and went to the Republican Party. they just had a good documentery on the weather channel, (when weather changed history)when the flood of 1927 hit NO, and Louisiana, the one where the Gov't did prove to blow up leveees, you should have watched it, it showed why blacks started leaving the Republican Party after Lincoln had treated us so good by freeing us.

interesting in light of how the 1950's and 1960's saw much more of the Democratic party fighting tooth and nail against the Civil Rights laws, just as it did in the 1860's when it forced secession. Men like JFK and Al Gore were voting down every piece of civil rights legislation to come to the floor and Robert Byrd (yes, the same Robert Byrd that perches in Congress today) was dead opposed to the 1964 monumental legislation.

Many of those white Dem/Dixiecrats stayed in the Democratic party and sorta did their own thing as States' Rights Democrats with the ideology that they'd rather vote for a yellow dog than a Republican because the GOP was then known as the party for Blacks.

sign....... ok the blacks started leaving the Repubs starting 1927, they finished about the 1960's, 1970's.

I agree, Democrats are no better than Repubs.

Bo is more than a Democrat. I don't care for him. I believe him to be Rev. 13.

What is your point exactly?
