thats all i can think of

I am not sure why. I only realized a few weeks ago that they aren't supposed to go in the dishwasher... after 6 years of dishwahser use. (I am NOT telling other to go out and do that though)

But I have never gotten the nerve to do this:

Today, my favorite piece is the little sifter/shaker! It's perfect for sprinkling powdered sugar on cakes and brownies!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Pampered Chef! I have so much of their stuff that a consultant could pretty easily do a demonstation here without having to bring much. By far my favorite thing is the cookbooks. I have all of them and I use them often.

How long have you been a consultant? How is it going so far? What is your favorite thing to cook at a show?

i've been buying Pampered chef for years, but this past Oct, i decided to see what i could selling it. so far its slow, but i'm not too worried about it, mainly because a friend of mine is getting married this month, so i am busy with that. anything that doesn't take alot of brain power..... i'm kidding, so far cooking a trifle is pretty fun, and this sunday i am going to be doing a dish called- jerk chicken nachos

I don't know if it is there, but here PC consultants will get together and do a bingo night where many different parties come. It is a lot of fun and a REALLY good idea for a boat load of reasons. You should see if there is something like that going with the people that you work with or just start one.

Honestly, I stopped selling because I was TOO busy. Everyone wanted to have a party. It was supposed to be part time and it quickly became four nights a week and sometimes Saturday mornings. I loved it but dd and myself were getting tired. We love all of our products. I love, love, love the food chopper!

Hang it there sholtsclaw698, it will pick up!

First my parties were with family, then friends, then church people, then their friends and family...so forth and so on....it really didn't take but about 6 months to be that busy. Have you had your first $1000 party? That was exciting...but I only ever had two...most of mine averaged $500.

I did pizza from scratch on the stone this weekend. The dough didn't want to rise, but that wasn't the fault of the stone.

What was weird is that it still baked unevenly. To try to get the pizza to rise more, I made it then put it in the cold oven and brought it up to temperature instead of putting it in the hot oven.

Anyway, the dough on the stone in the BACK of the oven was not as well done as the part on the stone in the FRONT. That's really weird, since on my metal pan, it's the opposite. I tend to rotate the metal pan halfway through cooking so it bakes evenly; I didn't bother with the stone, but I should have.

I was wondering if it was because more of the heating element is at the front of the oven. But I thought this stone was supposed to heat evenly!

One plus: the crust came out crunchier than normal, and hubby liked that.

was the stone touching the very back or the very front? sometimes that makes a difference

i never preheat my oven, and everything turns out fine. OTOH, Aunt Shirley will use my stuff and the same oven and will ruin the food if she does not preheat first.

I just changed the date of my party to February. My SIL is having a party in January, so I'll buy whatever stoneware I decide to get then (20% off, I think). The February host special will give me 60% off the cookware, bringing it down to $138 for the 7 piece set. Definitely worth it!

i have been thinking of getting the set too donna...but it's sooo expensive. We only have one pot though and we have to do something. I don't really want to get cheap stuff from wal-mart...i know it won't last as long. The one pot we have is my moms and i have to give it back when we are done using it...it's copper and hubby hates it because things change color in it...lol

Maybe you could host a party in February too, and use tax money to buy it? If you get it 60% off, it's really not much more than a good set from Walmart or Target.

I know you don't know many people there, but maybe Paul could invite some of his coworkers' wives and you could get to know some people??

Donna ... I was just going to suggest changing your party to Feb. because in February you get TWO PRODUCTS of your choice for 60 percent off!!!

I recently began selling PC and I love, love, love it! Baking with stoneware took some getting used to, because my oven over-heats and burns EVERYTHING!

I sold Tricia her stone so I feel bad ... I belong to a message board for PC consultants so I'll ask the experts over there if they can help ... I'll send a link to the post to Tricia.

I just bought the jerk spice JUST SO I could make the Jerk Chicken Nachos.

Nope ... haven't made it yet ... all I have is the bar pan and I'm fresh out of nacho chips! I'd love to toss it together as a "super bowl party preview."

I just started in November. I turned in 4 parties so now I am "qualified." I used to sell jewelry and find that people in my life find this more practical!
