Hi,
I'm new around here and just wanted to give my 2 cents about cliches or attitudes toward me as a single person. I think its annoying when people think that just because Im single that I'm lonely and not content. I think I'm relatively content, most of the time.[:)]

Nicole you are a NUT! We probably couldn't hang out though IP cause I seem to offend silly people with my sarcastic remarks enough alone [;)] LOL! But Oh how fun it would be [;)][:D] LOL!

Now...

I had a male family member say to me and at a table FULL of family members that I must be GAY because they never see me with a man and my "engagement" fell through [sm=shocked.gif][sm=fireanger.gif][sm=angertalk.gif] Now... what I said to him was no where NEAR nice let alone anything "Jesus would say" however I do think I "sinned not" I said to him (I'll have to re-word a word)... "Its not hard to get men like the tramps you date... They have Santa's slogan written on their forehead"

He did apologize later on...

You all have said the main wones though that I have heard often enough... I do so very much hate that foolish "God is preparing you" statement... "maybe I'm too mature and too wise to get married cause I see YOURS with my eyes WIDE open.... then again maybe I am stupid cause I see your marriage and still want to get married... go figure"...

Ive heard just about everything here said to me: anything about me being single while they have each other or he or she are married.
I have not heard a phrase given to me by another single person
Its ironic sometimes by WHO says these things to you, like by a girl I knew, who tried to give me advice, when she was married. Her own advice was totally opposite of what she did to get married.

be content First, then God will provide.
Theres someone out there for you,
Your a nice guy, but........ you can finish this one any way you want.

It is funny! For some reason small children like to remind me that I'm single and ask why. I can't figure that one out! One time I spent the evening out with family and on the drive home my niece (who was about 5 at the time) said out of the blue: "Don't worry! You'll get married someday..."

Apparently she was more worried about it than I was, because no one was talking about my being single, but apparently it was very much on HER mind. LOL!

oh my goodness. I have a lil' friend named Kendall (she's six) and she used to always ask me why I don't bring my kids/husband over. It cracks me up!
