I just got back from watching it. It's a feel good movie. The bad guys get it in the end. The Christian missionaries came to Burma to help the people there with their medicine. The Karen people didn't know that the missionaries brought John Rambo in with a little medicine of his own. He (and some mercenaries) laid waste to the whole army of Burmese soldiers who were oppressing the Karens. ...And there was peace in the land for 20 years. Doesn't that sound like a verse out of the Book of Judges? quote:
...Ibzan, Elon, Abdon, Samson, Ramboquote:
The Christian missionaries, however, could have been more likeable, especially the head guy. At first, he was really a pain. But at the end, after the bodies piled up for the day, he seemed to come around to Rambo's way of thinking. It also should be pointed out that the pastor of the church hired the mercenaries to rescue the missionaries with whatever force necessary. That kind of contradicts the first of the movie when the missionaries were on a mission from their church to heal and not to hurt.
