I didn't see Adam say anything, so I can't comment when she said her comment, he called her a word that definitely violates TOS...and not under his breath either.

I must have missed that. Tonight was interesting.......loved Kristi - but we knew she would be good. She sets the standard for the women. Will have to make an opinion on the rest of them after next week. Marley was amazing.

And folks, the girls will go against that albertross, American Idol tomorrow.... Actually, they put AI at 8:00 p.m., and DWTS at 9:00 p.m., so not a problem. I still don't get to watch for one more 1/2 hour. OH, and all of you that live east of the Pacific Standard Time Line...if there are spoilers in your post, PLEASE warn us west coasters at the top of the post. Gracias!

well, the ladies definitely set a higher standard then the men did last night.....Kristy esp. Marlee was amazing.....even if she could hear, she did excellent for that being the first dance of the season. I was impressed. Not so impressed with Marissa (totally agreed with the judges that it really wasn't much of a cha-cha)...and Monica wasn't so hot. I was very impressed that Priscilla presley did so well though....she danced great...esp when you consider that she was born in what, 1945 or something (I think that's what hubby said..he looked it up earlier)...so she really is amazing!!!

OK, I just finished my shower, but right before that I just finished the show. Kristi Yamaguchi, the deaf girl, and Priscilla Presley were definitely the 3 best. I thought Priscilla Presley looked STUNNINGLY gorgeous!!! I liked her reddish hair/green dress combo.

I thought Priscilla Presley looked STUNNINGLY gorgeous!!! Amazing what Botox can do, isn't it? Look closely next week, her entire face from the upper lip to the forehead is immobile. I'm surprised she can blink. No surprise Kristi was so smooth, a lot of figure skaters take ballet for just that reason.

Krsiti was also a very accomplished pairs figure skater-for a long time she competed in both singles and pairs and was always in the top 5 in both events. She knows how to work with a partner, she has musicality and she knows how to perform.

I didn't like it when Derek implied that his partner would go first because all the pretty women go first. Never mind that model last season was just a lousy dancer, oh no, we just voted her off because she was pretty. [/quote] Yeah, and never mind that Josie was "deceptively unfit," as Alec so succinctly put it - I still laugh when I think about that comment. Josie looked good, but she wasn't a good dancer, plain and simple. I thought Priscilla was kind of weird looking in the predance video with her strange clown-red highlighted hair and her pale, immobile face, but whoever did her hair and makeup for the dance did a good job. I thought she did pretty well dancing overall. I thought Kristi was awesome - three nines on her first dance! Her partner, Mark Ballas, is one of my favorites. I thought the chick from Hairspray was just the opposite of Priscilla because she was so effusive that I wanted to shoot her with a tranquilizer gun. I did get a kick out of her comment that she's representing all the women who aren't a size 2. I thought Shannon looked like she was trying to be another Edyta with that skimpy outfit, and what was with that hair anyway? It looked like she got out of the shower and didn't do anything to it. I felt sorry for Monica because it was obvious she felt awkward and uncomfortable. Maybe Jonathan will be able to get her to loosen up. Out of the guys, I was surprised at how graceful the football player was, considering how tall he is. Mario and Christian did okay, and I thought Steve Guttenberg really looked like he was enjoying himself; I love his smile. The others didn't impress me. I think either Adam or Penn need to go, although Penn's dance was comical, and Adam's was just bad.

Well, tonight, Mario and his partner did about the best. 2nd best, I think was a tie between Kristi Yamaguchi and the deaf lady (I'm sorry I keep calling her that, I'm not sure of her name. I'll try to look up her name.

I felt sorry for her when she talked about not going to prom and how this was like her prom. Ah, well, I never went to a prom in high school, either. Never got invited to madrigals or Spring Banquet at college, either(those were my college's Christmas/Spring versions of "college prom)"

the deaf lady (I'm sorry I keep calling her that, I'm not sure of her name. I'll try to look up her name. her name is Marlee Matlin...I put all the names in the first post of this thread. I didn't watch all of the show, and what I did see I was distracted in watching (kids were still up and we were having a late dinner)...so I really don't have much to comment about this week.

I thought Kristi was the best overall. I think of the ladies, probably Monica or Marrisa will go home; of the men, probably Penn or Adam. I don't like it when the stars backtalk the judges, but I really don't like it when the dancers do (like Anna did).

Adam's excuse was that he was talking to his publicist, Mitch. I think Carrie Ann believed that about as much of the rest of us did. I didn't like it when Anna was backtalking Len either - I think that's poor sportsmanship. I thought everyone did better this week, but I still thought Kristi was the best. I kept looking at Mark and wondering, "Is he wearing eyeliner????" I have a friend who is rooting extra hard for Marlee because she's deaf, and he gets frustrated with me because I don't think she's the best. I do think she's good, but sometimes it appears to me that her partner is slinging her around, and the movements aren't precise and sharp. I wish that when they spotlight certain people in the audience that they would have a little caption identifying them, because, frankly, I have no idea who some of them are.

Well, the more mature, Japanese couple that they zoomed in on were Kristi Yamaguchi's parents. I know that because I have been a figure skating buff for years. Hope that helps. Yes, your right, they should do captions, though. And the dad with the kids that they sometimes zoom in on, my guess is Marlee Martin's husband and kids, as she is married with four kids, and they usually zoom in on them during her interviews. On that one though, is just my total guess, not a know like with Krisit's parents.

Kristy was great last night and I really like Jason also. I voted for both of them last night.
