I am already accountable to my wife, my pastor, my mentor and now the world. Accountablility only works when you are honest. And I pray to God that I am. I know the road of destruction porn and self gratification will lead.

I declare through the grace of God and by the power of the Holy Spirit that I will remain porn free and refrain from self gratification. Not by going around it but by fleeing it!

Starting March 7, 2006

I praise God for you desire to live a pure and holy life for the Glory of God. You have already taken the first big step in going to Setting Captives Free. Accountability is the key to staying free from the bondages of porn addiction. I am on day 39 of SCF and I am living pure before my God. Can't seem to edit the orginal post.

18 Days and going well. It is amazing how God can remove even the thoughs from my mind. Am working on self-control of the eyes now, with the Lord's help.

My shield is Job 31:1 - I will make a covenant with my eyes not to look lustfully at a woman.

And my wife is the best of all. Trying to make sense of this sin and how it is my sin not hers. We are working hard to keep the marriage together.

I give all the glory to God for His redemptive powers and giving me the grace that I do not deserve. I was only by truly confessing and repenting that I have been able to flee this sin. I would never have been able to do it myself.

I think the thing for you to do is to get closer to the Lord. Let Him fill you so full of His that the old lustful ways will disolve away. I noticed that one brother gave his email address. You are welcome to drop me a line any time at Ch1Write@hotmail.com I'd love to hear of your progress.

How does one determine whether or not such emaling is safe? Look at it this way. As long as one doesn't enlist money or want to meet in person, you're home free.

I had two porn temptations this weekend, and GOD delivered me from both, I tried to fail, he didn't let it happen.

GOD is faithful when we don't have faith ourselves.

Much better today, GOD ROCKS!!!!

The closer I get to GOD the less I want that garbage, pretty soon I will pass the point of no return and this will never be an issue for me again, ever.

being in the military it is rampant and must say more than once have slipped up. but am working on 95 days now without thinking of it. prayer, fasting, Bible study works.

what helped me was finding a Church with a strong men's ministry. if not one in your Church see about starting it. make it a small group that meets on say saturday morning for coffee/breakfast and fellowship. it will surprise you how many people fight this temptation.

What actually helped is the last time I watched porn. Man I got sick as a dog the very next day!!!! The Chastening of GOD has done a lot to keep me away from Porn since then.

I learned my lesson.

Just remember that Gods' grace is sufficent for everything and you fall or stumble he will be right there to help you up again!

I too am struggling with this very issue and being 17 years sober I have learned two things; one:take it one day at a time talk about it with someone, if no ones around talk out loud to the Lord! two: pray, pray, pray continuously and hold on. this is what I do every day and Praise God I have so succombed to this evil temptation today. I only deal with today and that is a powerful tool as well. thanx for listening to me "today"

Hello, men. I am new to this forum. I am also a former porn addict who would like to help others with their struggle. My greatest weapon is to spend time daily in the Word and daily journaling. I have learned that I am likely to fall to temptation when I have neglected my daily devotional time with my Savior.

My pastor gave me this little gem, "Temptation is a chance to please God". I have it posted on my computer's homepage. God Bless!
