It doesn't matter how strong you are or think you are in your spiritual walk. He protects you for the same reason He protects anyone else. Everything He does for you is a gift. Appreciate it and praise Him for it. Everything He's done for you is a gift and it's done for a reason. If you want to know why, just ask Him when you see Him. LOL
What an awesome reminder...thanks for that today!

Why I did it I do not know, but I went to the prophecy/end times folder...big mistake! They are talking about national ID cards and mark of the beast...scary! I am struggling again with looking at my son and feeling like he has no future if the Lord doesn't come back before he is grown. I am struggling daily with that and I really do not know what to do to take control. I pray, but that is all I can do. I know that that Jeremiah 29:11 says For I know the plans I have for you. So if the Lord doesn't come back in the next 10-20 years than I know God does have a future for Hunter and a future for other children we have and even for hubby and I. But, fear just overwhelms me and all you hear on the news is negativity. Its hard!

One thing that helps me is remembering that all these things are interpretations and are very likely totally off! Think of how most Jews missed the Messiah because of the misinterpretation of prophecy.
I struggled a lot with fear and I still do. During my Christian walk, I have discovered that the best way to protect ourselves against the enemy's attack is....the Word of God.
I would write down biblical verses in my agenda and whenever I feel stressed, scared, tormented or overwhelmed; I would take out my diary and read the verses about fear and I would keep repeating them altering between them and prayers. They would really give me solace and comfort.
Another tip is the Psalms which give me so much comfort. David wrote some of them at times when he was distressed, worried and scared.
Remember that most fear is false evidence appearing real.
If you want I can suggest some readings for you! Just tell me so that I can pull it our of my bookcase!
Blessings!

Chelle, here are some of my favorite, comforting verses:
Pretty much all of Job 38. Especially verse 4. I also like Job 40:2. When I read that, I feel the Lord putting me in my place when it comes to fear. It reminds me that it doesn't matter how much I worry, no one nor anything can overtake God. That passage just reminds me of who He is and I take comfort in that.
Luke 12:25-26 1 Thess. 4:15-18 (especially vs. 18) 2 Thess. 1:7-8, 2:1-2 and 3:3
Also, go and read all the places in the Gospels where Jesus talks about anxiety. I recently did a study on that, and our pastor's wife has been talking a lot about it in our ladies' Bible study. It's something the Lord has really been chiseling from my heart. I have learned that it is forbidden for me to dwell on my anxiousness. Jesus says "Don't do it!!". But in a most comforting way. I love that he takes care of me and I can rest in that.

Yup, I'd stay outta there completely. What Zippy said is so true. I actually don't let a lot of that bother me anyway . . . . because I tend to lean toward Amillenialism.

I googled that and I have never heard that theory before. I am still not completely clear on it, but I have only read a few sites about it. Very interesting though from what I have read. Thanks for the verses too I am going to post those in my kitchen since that is where I spend most of my time.

I have a wonderful book I slip into my purse. It's mini-book with hard cover. I would highly recommend you to purchase it from amazon. I don't think it's expensive and it's worth the trouble. Its entitled "Perfect Trust" by Charles Swindoll. A great read which you will be reading over and over and over to tone up your faith.
If you struggle from fear in a phobic way, here is another book "Fear less for life" by Steve Arterburn, Paul Meier, and Robert Wise.
Here are some biblical verses about fear. I would recommend you ~ Chelle ~ to either print this page out or jot them down each time the devil attacks:
Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe. (Proverbs 29:25)
Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in YOU. (Psalm 56:3).
I am the Lord Your God, who holds your right hand, and I tell you, “’Don’t be afraid. I will help you.’” (Isaiah 41:13).
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord Your God will be with you wherever you go. (Joshua 1:9)
Hugs and prayers to you!!!
