I really like Gordon Ramsey. Anyone who has watched Kitchen Nightmares knows the guy has a soft streak. I think he has high standards and he really tells it like it is. I think it's refreshing.

Exactly - I wish more people, especially those that call themselves Christian, would be as honest about everything and primarily themselves.

Some people only want a Ned Flanders'esque type individuals.

I thought it was funny when Gordon was banging his head on the counter.
'glad Jason is gone. For now, I like the Asian guy and the guy with glasses who messed up the salmon last night. The girls...I don't know.

Yeah I was like just spray some pam on the ramekins and they won't stick, but he obviously didn't know how to bake. But he didn't care since the batter was all over the sides.

I'm glad Jason is gone, too.

How easy is it to catch steak on fire? Because I've never seen that happen. Anywhere.

I'm sure he was thinking that baking is a women's job....you know...he's a man's man 'hope that guy is not married or will never marry.

and to try to put out the fire by blowing on it.. that was great.

A lot of pastry chefs are men. Chef Duff on Ace of Cakes is a manly guy and a pastry chef.

Yeah, that whole bit made me want to reach through my television and slap him. That's what he needs...someone to take him out back...

Do you think the ladies will succeed in knocking the men out one at a time? kd

Oh my. Delusional people can be fun! I liked Jason's parting statement that least he didn't go out crying like the girls do. Hee. No, sweetums, you simply left declaring you will be using alcohol as crutch, after coming thisclose to quitting. Fare thee well!

I'm glad Christina didn't put Corey up for elimination, shows a nice bit of maturity there I think.

I'm no where near a chef, not even much of a cook around the house, so I assumed that aspiring chefs whether on a program, or any where, would know about doing desserts (on Top Chef, there's an aversion to doing pastry as well). I mean, I would have imagined they'd know all stations in the kitchen. But I guess not, I guess that's why there are designated Pastry chefs. Oh and yeah, I love Ace of Cakes, they do some really awesome work on there.

Christina realizes she needs an alliance to be successful on this show. Corey is taking the wrong approach by alienating everybody from the beginning. She's definitely going to mess it up for herself & be gone very soon. kd

Getting a little bit more interesting. I was laughing when he was trying to get Jean-Pierre to loosen up because it was family restaurant night.

It was funny about Jean-Pierre, but it wasn't played up enough, so it could be missed. Notice, HE doesn't always do what Chef says! kd

The girls won the challenge where they had to roll out pasta dough .. the guys were trying to be fast.

They had family night where they were serving easy foods like burgers and mac and cheese but the guys were still messing up

A girl burned her hand real bad (the one with the lip ring) and she is going to have to decide if she can work with one hand.

The guys lost cause Craig? couldn't cook anything at any of the stations so far so they sent him home.

oops they have a recap on the website

I hope the guys will catch on in the challenges that it is not about speed, but about quality. kd

'glad Gordon straightened up Jen with her mouth. She's a great worker but a bit too much on how good she is. 'glad no one went home last night though. I'm still pulling for Ben and Louross.

I thought in the beginning that Louross had potential. But lately, he's showing too much of his rebelness & his age. That could get the best of him. He's got to learn to put that aside & focus on his talent. I'm really tired of looking at Matt. He has an awful grimous! I think Corey will be around awhile merely because she & Jen don't get along. I see a cat fight about to brew in that kitchen! kd

I didn't care for this last episode, the mother was irritating. The girl didn't know anything about food (not that i am an expert). And the party planner was ridiculous. Or maybe its because those kind of sweet sixteen parties are overkill. Hmm.
