Ds1 was born a month after our 2nd anniversary. He was one of those "oh my goodness, how did THAT happen?!" Just goes to show that no form of birth control is 100%.

Our guys are 23mo, 25m, and 21mo apart. Ds1 and ds2 are close. ds2 and ds3 are close. Ds3 and ds4 are close. And, under durress, ds1 and ds4 enjoy doing things together.

My sister and I are 3yrs apart. We are not close at all. It's from years of her taking the attitude that I was the cause of all of her problems. She was mom's favorite, and mom always took her side. I got in trouble for a good deal of what my sister did. Today, we olny speak when forced to. As in, when we are in the same town. I was in AZ for a week, and saw her once, for an evening. I think it was more of a parenting issue than anything else.

I got DD dropped off without any problems. I went to the elementary office to be buzzed in and the secretary says "you're early" since I usually come at about 3 for extended care. I told her that DD was there for testing. THe kids were just coming back from PE when we got there so I gave her a little hug and said a quick prayer with her and she seemed OK. I won't see her till 3 when we go for extended care. My mom will pick her up and keep her for the afternoon.

Wow. I'm not looking forward to when my children start flying from the nest, but it is good to see him with a career ahead and taking responsiblity for his life.

What is it called when you ovulate once a year? My stepmom is like that, or was, rather. Fertile once a year. Of the kids born from her, one was mid-april and the other two were five days apart in june. I'm smack dab between those two, lol, which is fun.

I have no idea how fertile or non-fertile I am. I did get pregnant with Brandon while on the pill and in my first month of being sexually active, but then we tried for more than a year with Nate. Those two events were what led me to consider being quiverfull...since clearly I was not in charge of when I had babies.

We will be in Yakima today.

my last two pregnancies ended in a miscarriage and an ectopic pregnancy. So I'm down to one ovary and tube. We tried to get pregnant for a year after the ectopic one and nothing happened. Then Dh decided that he didn't want any more biological children. Currently adoption is out of the question due to issues here at home. So we have the two that we've been blessed with.

Sarah, we were married on June 3rd, and Dd came on August 3rd the following year. Our families must like the number 3

I knew one couple who were married n the 29th of the month, their birthdays were on the 29th of the month and then they had two girls who wound up being born on the 29th as well. The third baby they had broke the consistency, she was born a little earlier in the month.

Hate to admit this, but I wasn't a "good" girl. Took more risks than I should have. Yet, it wasn't until after I got married that I got pregnant.

As I expected, ds4 is having trouble testing. This is his first year with a seperate answer sheet (vs writing in the book). It's also timed. THis freaks him out BIG TIME. And--he messed up the answer folder. As in got the numbering wrong. We had to go back through and figure out where he got off. I ended up having to give him a few extra minutes. It's gonna be a long week.......

We do Iowa Basics and get it from Bob Jones. I hate testing and can always pretty much predict results, so the data is pretty worthless to us. If the state didn't require it, we wouldn't do it. Ironicaly, it is our biggest schooling expense.

Why would you hate to admit that, Hazel? I'm sure you're not the only one. I was very promiscuous as a teenager. I only got pregnant once during that time, and that was after a date rape. Some people remained virgins until they were married, and GREAT! But there are also plenty who are in the same shoes as you and I. I'm not proud of anything I did during that time, but I do not have shame from it either. I can't change it now.

I wasn't exactly promiscuous... But I wasn't a good girl either. I also got pregnant before I was married and had a miscarriage. We are all sinners who have fallen short of the glory of God, thank goodness for His mercy

Hi everyone. It seems like forever since I got on the computer.

I was a promiscuous teen too. Praise the Lord for His mercy! And his healing touch, because it did me a world of harm emotionally.

But all is well now.

It is a beautiful 65 degree day outside-the next few days will all be near 80- and we are not going outside. We were going tom but then my blessing disobeyed me so part of the punishment is not going outside.

I had two tall stemware glassess drying ont he table. She was holding one in each hand and banging them bottoms down on the table. I told her to stop-she didn't. One of them broke.

It wasn't too expensive (thank goodness) and I got it a few years ago, but it was pretty and i've enver seen another like it. It was titned a light purple color. And it was the glass she most liked to drink smoothies out of.

She is on her bed with no toys-I took the ones that were on her bed off and I told her that there was to be no noise. And if she asked me when she could get off the bed, the time on the bed would be longer.

I finally finished putting together this stupid database I stupidly volunteered to do for work. I had it all put together, then they decided they wanted something different. I just turned it in and my boss is happy. I think I'm going to get myself some chocolate or something.

It is cold and drippy here today. I'm sure that this is God's way of reminding me that we have not hit the last frost date yet and it would really not be wise to put my summer veggie seedlings out. I always seem to jump the gun every year, and then it frosts on a night I'm working and no one thinks to cover them so I have to start all over again. So I am trying to remember to be thankful that it's chilly even though I had to put an extra blanket on my side of the bed last night.

Narnia, I hope your house stays cool. Unfortunately when we have to punish our offspring it often means that Mom gets punished too.

I'm sorry for your disappointment, Shadowspring. Hopefully this will work out for the best.

Thanks, cynthia. It was quite a disappointment.

This college is really the only way Michael can go to college and have his basic needs met. I am happy that the admission office gives him an excellent chance of getting in for fall 09 if he starts the enrollment process this August.

Ditto for my own dd, though she has many other options. She has a family to support her, but although we are willing to do a lot to help Michael make it in life, four years of college for an extra child is NOT in our budget.

On Sunday the pastor spoke on disappointment with God and how his ways are always higher and better than ours. I guess my seniors need parental guidance just a little bit longer than I thought.

We don't have to test, be I have a couple of times and we have used CAT tests and got them from BAYSIDE which you don't have to worry about having someone test the kids that has a BA and you can do it right at home.

I am one that wasn't a "good" girl, sorta. It was only DH, but before we were married, and one other time with one other guy when DH and I broke up for a short time(before marriage). So Hazel don't feel bad.

AMEN to that.

Testing: my kids test at the local Christian school. I pay $25 and take them in when scheduled. Thus why I am up at the ridiculus hour of 7:15. DD2 has to be there at 8:15. She will stay until 12:15 when her grandmother gets done with her classes there and spend the afternoon with Grandma. TOnight she will spend the night so I don't have to take her tomorrow.

We've only tested 2xs (and that was only ds, dd was too young then). We did it with our hs group, but I was a proctor. They ordered the test from Bob Jones & gave both the Iowa & the Stanford. Ds took the Iowa. I was planning on testing them both this year, but never got around to it. Maybe I'll get better organized next year & order early.

Speaking of organizing. Our hs group's used curriculum sale is tonight. I plan on spending the afternoon sifting through things to see what I have to sell. This morning is MOPS. Dh has physical therapy this afternoon, but he's doing so much better that he's going to drive himself!! He is amazed at how far he can lift his legs up now! The stretching & walking are really helping! He can lift them farther than he's been able to in years!! He can get the left leg straight up & the right one almost there (the right one is the one he has the most nerve pain in).

The kids are up now, so I'd better get us going. Hope everyone has a good day!

LOL!!! Yesterday, I "slept in" until 7:30. This morning, I was up at 5:00, in the fishbowl by a little before 6:00, and finished at 7:15. And I had a really crummy swim.

Testing is going very well so far. I'm testing ds1, ds2 and ds3 together for the most part. Ds2 and ds3 tests are meant to be given together. Ds1's test is not, since the time limits are not the same so I just set two timers. Ds4 could test with the others, but he gets too distracted. So I test him solo.

Hi Guys,
We went to Cleveland this past weekend and hubby met with his new employer and worked out the details of the official job offer. It went really great. They are even covering temporary housing fo rup to 6 months (including helping us with first month/last month/security deposit, as we won't have the funds until our house sells). They are paying for 2 months of temporary medical insurance while he is in between jobs and before the new insurance kicks in. It is only major medical, but will cover us in case something major happens. We looked at some rental houses and the area. It was fun.
Then yesterday he gave his notice at his job here. They escorted him out of the building (instead of letting him work out his notice), which is what we expected, and I am kinda glad so he can help me finish painting and stuff to get the house ready to sell.
But the boss threatened to file a legal injunction to stop him from taking the new job due to a "non-compete" clause in his employee agreement. He is taking a different role with a company that is technically not a direct competitor, but he may have to go to court to prove that. Please pray that it does not come to this. I do not know how long the delay could potentially be, but we cannot afford to be without a paycheck at all. The new boss and HR manager say that there is nothing to worry about, but it is still a "little" scary. So, please keep us in your prayers. EEK!!!

That's awful, Misaham. I hope they were just making empty threats. It sounds like his new employers really care about their employees. They seem to be doing everything they can to make this a smooth transition for your family.
