As far as hubby, at first I thought oh I dont want him to read anything, but maybe he NEEDS to hear that I am asking for prayer and people are praying for him. Not saying I don't write anything...after all I joined the thread...lol. I just don't mention the all little things I see as progress all the time...I'm fine with him knowing that I'm praying for him...and that others are... I have told him all about this forum...and I don't ever hide things from him...I don't want to...I guess I don't post those little things because I wouldn't want him to feel 'self-conscious' about them...if that makes any sense at all.

I never had texting until we got our new phones. I dont do it often, mainly just Klay and one of my friends occasionally. I havent gotten into the whole texting craze.

Yeah, I do that to an extent too. I dont want him to feel awkward. I think he has hunted me down on here once or twice, but usually realizes this is my "safe haven" of sorts.

I'd probably never hear from my kids (unless they wanted money) if it weren't for texting...there's an entire generation who don't even know how to have a verbal phone communication I think! (not that I'm complaining...I hate talking on the phone myself!)

I don't know if my hubby has ever read anything that I've posted on here or not...it wouldn't be hard for him to find me if he wanted to...my screename is one he first made for me as the beginning of an email address back when we were dating...so he'd recognize me quickly if he ever came looking...I doubt he would...but I really don't care if he does or not. I'm an open book really, if he asked I'd show him the threads I post it.

Klay and I text when we are at work and he isnt able to answer his phone and its a non-important message like "what time for lunch?" Or "call me when you get a chance". Sometimes I send him lovey texts just for fun. I like to think it makes his day to look at his phone and see "I love you!" Or if he has a bad signal sometimes a text will go through when a phone call cant.

Nicole...for me, personally, it's a matter of 2 reasons really...1st off, I HATE the phone...I mean it's a true case of despising the thing (perhaps that's because it rings OFF THE HOOK all day at work) so if it's not required for me to keep my job then it's a call I'm likely to not make/take. 2nd, with email I can send it when it's convenient for me (even if that's 2AM when my insomniac self isn't sleeping) and not give a thought to if it's disturbing the other person...and by the same token, they can reply when their schedule best allows and if that happens to be in the middle of my prayer/family/church/whatever time then no biggie...I'll see it in an hour or so when I log back on (or check my phone, since my email is all forwarded to my phone as well)

I dont mind talking on the phone, good thing though, I do it all day long! Hubby isnt near a computer (well one he can email on, he's ALWAYS near a computer-just running around working on them) so I just text him, besides he has a Blackberry and has a full keyboard, much easier for him to text than I. I get annoyed too easily with it!

Or if he has a bad signal sometimes a text will go through when a phone call cant. Hubby and I have our own language when it comes to texting...acronymns that convey a message quickly. For instance, he works a very flexible schedule...when he leaves the office for the day I get a text that simply says 'hh ly' (headed home love you) so I know not to call the office looking for him if I need him. Then, like you, sometimes we just text to brighten each other's day...he'll send me funny pictures of our dogs, I might snap a picture of myself in my office and send it to him...or just send him one telling him I'm thinking about him.

I usually tell alot of stories. I am also the most talkative one, Dad says when I was little I used to talk to myself alot just because I liked to talk! I even talk in my sleep sometimes.
