If you can eat coconut then you may consider getting the smallest jar of Virgin Coconut Oil you can... try it on your skin w/o contaminating it (ie, don't use your fingers to dip into it!) If you have any reaction, use it for cooking. It's very important that if you eat coconut oil that you stay away from processed oil and get Virgin CO... It can also be labeled as "Extra Virgin" but is the same as "Virgin." It is very unhealthy to eat other types of coconut oil. Better explaination is here. When I tried it for cooking, I tried to make a savory dish with it and it ruined the dish. I would advise using it to saute or roast sweeter things like sweet potatoes, carrots, plantanos (I can't reacall the English word for this fruit, sorry!! I hope you can figure out what I mean,) etc. or in baking sweet things like muffins, cakes, etc.
