He would do better to select Romney. Due to age, McCain is possibly a one termer

If he were hiring a VP of Marketing for his corporation, maybe Romney. A Presidential candidate can't choose their replacement when they choose a VP. Unfortunately, they can't even choose the most qualified person to do the job or to suppor them in theirs. McCain isn't choosing a VP, he's choosing a running mate in the hopes that a very uneducated, uninvolved electorate will elect him VP. Romney wont help McCain at all.

My concern with Rice was always that it would be seen as pandering: "I see your black man and I see your woman; I raise you one black woman!"

So, why are the Dems/Libs given free reign to pander relentlessly....but, any hint of pandering on the "other side of the aisle" is looked down upon?

Here's the facts....The GOP's black female VP candidate would be far more "qualified" to be President than either of their Presidential candidates!

Having black conservatives to vote for also underlines another fact....it show just how hypocritical organizations such as the NAACP, Jesse Jackson/Al Sharpton and others like them are with regards to blacks "in power".....

to them, it's ok to have blacks in politics...and "in power", but only if they themselves will be pandered to....and are as liberal as they are.

But it is a leg up and Romney was a better choice than McCain and Mccain knows it. Romney just got too caught up with the media over his religion (of course while they were covering up obama's, their new messiah)

In addition, she will be able to say things about Barak Obama that the very white John McCain could not without being accused of being racist.

Very few things. She has endured segregation, church bombings etc. and earned her way to the top,but to most middle aged blacks(30-50)<who have only read about segregation and the civil rights mvt she ain't black enough.

Not "black enough"?

That's "code word" for "works too hard"...too successful....isn't a liberal....and won't pander to the self-appointed "leaders" of black america, who perpetuate a "victim" mindset.....

I give Dr. Condoleezza Rice a lot of props for her accomplishments. She's the most powerful black woman in american government so that's nothing to turn your nose at.

Unfortunately I disagree with her...unyeilding loyalty to Bush.

I always have believed that loyalty to one's boss is a good thing

Depends on whether one's boss is worthy of that loyalty. In this case that loyalty could be a sign of weakness.

Who of us is worthy? As a born-again Christian, I know that none of us are worthy....

Worthy in whose estimation? Yours or mine or hers?

You surely aren' comparing loyalty to a human with worthiness of Christ's mercy????????????????????? How about discernment? can you handle that?

Uuugh, I know! You're restating the obvious - which is what makes it that much more frustrating. Are we in the Twilight Zone? None of it makes sense! Have 3/4 of the population had their brains sucked out to get us to this point?

Cow,

If you were a boss, would you hire someone that was unloyal to you?

I think it is a wonderful asset being loyal to one's boss.

As in anything else, as a born-again Christian, Christ is to be my example. He was/is loyal to disciples who forsook Him, denied Him, who turn their backs on Him.

As a Christian, we are called to do the same. And, if one cannot be loyal to their boss, they should split the scene. Just like if one starts being critical alot of a pastor, they should leave that church.

I cannot separate the two, personally.
