I'm wondering if some of these suggestions work for an 18 yr. old...

Too funny! I was just wondering if anything on here might be good for my dh when we travel across the country next month!

Hi TammyisBlessed

Thought I'd revive the thread.

How was your trip? It took a peek at your blog. Nice pics.

I'm going to be going to Disney World the last week in July with my two DDs 5 y/o and 3 y/o. It will be their first time.

I'm kinda excited and anxious at the same time. Any advice and recommendations I need to know for the trip with my little ones? Thanks

Hi Angie!

Our trip was soooo awesome. We're already planning our next one in about 1 1/2 years. we'd like to try going in October next time cause it's supposed to be even less busy.

Because you're going during high season and super hot season - my biggest advice is to have a plan! If you can, purchase or borrow The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World. They even have one for people with kids here. They have tons of info in there - everything from where to stay, where to eat, touring plans, info about all the parks including attractions and shows, etc, etc. And either way, I strongly suggest subscribing (I think it's $9 for a year) to their website - they can give you a touring plan for parents with young children for the park you're going to on a particular day. This is definitely worth it.

Actually - check out my thread here that I started to get Disney advice.

I hope you're staying either in Disney or close enough that you can go home during the afternoon for naps and/or swim. This really works well especially with young kids. The afternoon is the busiest and the hottest time of day, so what are you gaining by staying? Cranky kids and long, sweaty lineups! Rather get there for first thing in the morning, then come home for a late lunch and a swim and a nap, then go back in the evening once you're rested up. We did this and it was a huge success.

And feel free to pm me at any time with any questions!
