My wife and I have had a rocky marriage for 17 years. She was married before and had 3 small children which I helped raise. We have 3 more together. I have not been the kindest or easiest person to live with. I have caused a lot of stress in our marriage. I have recently "saw the light" and worked very hard to turn myself around. Our middle daughter (mine-15) has a lot of emotional/psychological problems and has decided that she hates me. She also has always hated her younger siblings and made it well known for years. My wife has decide that to relieve the stress in the house, I have to move out. Our youngest son(11) wants to go with me so he can get away form his older sister who torments him constantly. Our youngest daughter (9) is really shook up by all of this and is really depressed. I am just angry that she doesn't want to try to help our daughter through this instead of giving in to her(which happens frequently) and she won't give me a chance to redeem myself. I don't know what else to do. Please pray for us all.

Yes Lord, we agree together for this family. The enemy has found so many doors to enter and attack each of them. It seems impossible to repair such a mass of confusion and pain... but you are a God of miracles. And we are your children. You came to give us life and have commanded us to claim the authority of your name to perform the Father's will. This family will not be splintered and destroyed. It will be blessed with a testimony of the power of our precious and mighty God. We give him praise. Amen

Father, open the doors of communication. Flood their lives on every level with your word and your goodness and your guidance. Speak to them in ways they could not imagine, but intervene on every level so that they will know your great love for them. Bind them together in your love. Bind them together in the name of Jesus and for your glory. It is your glory that your children are blessed and your family is increased and full of joy in every way. Let it be so in this family. It will require much of them, it will be painful at times, it will involve much patience and self-sacrifice and forgiveness from each of them. But Father we ask that you put it in their hearts to do, and not just to do, but to do passionately, to own, to rejoice in as individuals and to claim for their family. We ask that you make it a quick work, a consistent work, one that has definite markers of progress and success. Help each of them to confess and repent and turn from their own sin and guilt, and help each of them to in turn forgive those who have sinned against them in some way. Bring order to the chaos, a right heart and direction in how to go about it all step by step, one day at a time.

Come Holy Spirit and work the love of God into this family. Do not let the enemy rob them of the many good things that the Father has planned for them. We loose the will of God in every area of their lives. Comfort, Heal, Forgive, Restore, Increase in Love. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

Yes Father, we agree fro the salvation and restored peace of this family.
Whatever they are facing today, we ask that you be in their midst and guide each of them in all that they say and all that they do. Comfort their hurts, heal their hearts, and cause them to seek to work diligently to restore their family by your grace. Be their strength and their guide Father. In the name of Jesus. Just want to thank you for your prayers. I finally started communicating with my daughter, she found me crying out of frustration about everything, and I think we may be on the way to understanding each other better. Also after a horrendous fight yesterday at marriage counciling, my wife and I have both calmed down and started talking about some of the baggage we both brought into our marriage. I finally talked about some sexual abuse I went through years ago and the problems it has caused me and she shared about some she went through too.It was an emotional time, but I really feel like a load has been lifted off me. I also feel I can understand some things about her self-image a lot clearer now. We have a long way to go, but I think maybe there is some light at the end of the tunnel now. Only God can turn this all around, there is no way I can by myself.

Thank you so much for letting us know how things are going and it's so good to hear that God has answered many prayers. If you had not called on him to intervene and actually asked for others to agree, all this good news would have never happened. You are an amazing man of God and you must love your wife and family very much. We will continue to keep you all in prayer. Please come back and share the testimony of the progress (as well as things we can agree with you in prayer about thru the rest of this journey). You just don't know how many people read posts like this who are struggling with similar things, but who are afraid to ask for prayer or for help. The enemy tried to do alot of negative, but God can turn it all around and bless so many people thru the hardship your family has walked thru. Love to you and your family <3

Father, thank you for being so present in the lives of this family. Just like he said, there is much to walk thru still, but miracles are already being formed in their lives as individuals and as a family. Please continue to heal and to transform them, to bless and prosper them, to fulfill every good thing that you have planned for them. Bless this man of God who has humbled himself so completely before you and the people he loves. Continue to guide him and to strengthen and empower him to accomplish all in your name. Lord we cannot undo the past, but at the cross you made all things new. Lord I have seen you take my broken family, and do great things. Help this family stick togather, for if we are unified, the enemy has to break through this unity. United we stand, divided we fall. Put them all back togather serving you with all thier hearts. Lord heal this young girl, in Jesus name cast out the hate, and anger this young girl has. Please Lord do not let, what drives these problems drive this family apart. They need you, and each other. Do not let the enemy win, for you love each, and everyone. Lord help restore the years the locust have stolen, giving and breathing new life and healing into this family. Help this family find a loving and balanced church to support them in emotional, Spiritual ways.We love and praise you Jesus Christ, the savior of the world. Amen.

We have decided that some time apart may strengthen us and give us some much needed time to think. My wife has become very reluctant to separate now, which is great to me because she was originally the one who wanted this. I have found a tiny house 5 blocks away on the same street, which is great, because my youngest daughter can ride her bike over whenever she wants. The owner also wants some repair work done in trade for the rent, which is what I do professionally, so thats cool too.
Also, my wife is glad that she will see me every day because my shop is attatched to the back of our house, so I will be in & out daily for supplies & tools. We are both now looking at this as temporary, and set a time limit of 3 months.
My teen has told her counsoler that she has a problem with all men over 25, & does not like to be touched or told anything endearing by them. This explains alot of her reactions towards me for years. We are wondering about possible abuse at a daycare she attended at about 2 where she came home with some strange bruises and after her first week there was petrified to go back. This is a kid who never knew a stranger when she was small. It would explain alot of the behavior she has exhibited for years. She says she is not sure why she has this fear, but it is becoming worse as she gets older. Thank you all for your prayers, I really appreciate them.

Father, thank you for all that you are working in this family. Thank you for knitting them back together not in haste, but with a strong and sure foundation. Walk them thru this healing process as individuals and as a family. Draw them closer to you are individuals and as a family. You have a perfect plan for each of them and we agree together that it would be fulfilled and with perfection. What a beautiful testimony you are working in them Lord. I trust that many will be saved and empowered and encouraged by their witness and the victory that they are walking in . Not only when it is all said and done, but right now, today in this moment, after all that they have already been through, as well as in the midst of their current struggles and in their consistent perseverance. It is the journey that the power of God anoints, every step we take. Bless them Father. Cause them to be full of wisdom, mercy and great joy. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

So glad to hear the progress you are all making -- together, as a family.
You are a tremendous man of God to fight for the people you love like you are, even to the point of humbling yourself and submitting to whatever God deems necessary. When we allow God to lead us to that place, we have already won... just by entering into the battle with a right spirit and a contrite heart before God makes us victoirous.

Your testimony has already blessed me and so many others on this forum. I pray we are all that strong when we find ourselves facing difficult circumstance in our own families or in some other area of our lives. Thanks for sharing your heart. I know it must have been difficult, but God is already multiplying the blessing in so many ways -- because of your faithfulness and courage.

I have been living a few blocks away for about a week and a half and things are really wierd. My youngest girl is having a really tough time and stays with me and my son mostly.

We are really struggling financially and my 15 yr old is making everybody miserable being rude and mean. I have to say, my place is a lot more peaceful than our house and my wife is really seeing that.

I am really seeing all the ways I have taken what my wife does for granted, and I think the same goes for her. I still mow the grass, but she now takes out the trash, sweeps the sidewalks and porches, and gets to take care of all the gross jobs that I used to. ( I did clean up dog puke for her the other day when the dog got a snack out of the litter box[:@])

The hardest thing is dealing with the kids without the back-up. I don't like being a single parent, and I really feel for those who are. Please keep praying for us all and please don't think I am a tremendous man of God, I am just some idiot guy who screwed up bad and realizes I need God more than I ever thought I did before.

Yes Father, knit this family back together. Thank you for all that you are working in their lives. We ask that you not let the enemy get a foothold while they are separated. Help them to move back to where you have always intended them to be. Not in haste, but as quickly as possible according to your wisdom and your mercy. Heal this family, and bring them back together as one in every way. In the name of Jesus.

Father, give this mom and dad discernment to see clearly concerning their children. The teen years are such a battle ground even in the most average and boring family. The stress that they are under simply adds to the tension, but do not let the enemy convince them that it is more complicated than it is. Help them to untangle this mess as you lead them. Help them to make wise decisions concerning their children. Give them clarity of when to say no and when to say yes, no matter how chaotic things may be around them or in their own thoughts and emotions. Much of it is simply the job that goes along with parenting teens... aside from our own shortcomings as parents. Even if we were perfect parents, alot of times the same struggles would exist.

Guide this mom and dad. Bring them into agreement as they make decisions for their children and their family. Healing we pray Father. Bring them under one roof, with a core and a foundation rooted in Jesus Christ. Life will always swirl around us and blow thru our homes and our relationships with crazy violence at times. But you can make this family unmovable, unshakable, standing firm in your principles and your plan for their life. That is our prayer Father. Let your perfect will be done in their lives as individuals and as a family. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
