You know, I'm not for smoking. It stinks, it's unhealthy, and it costs a fortune. But it's not listed as a sin. I think that people automatically calling smokers "stupid" is legalistic and downright rude. Of two verses that are always pulled out to make smoking a "sin," the one referring to your body being a temple in context is actually referring to sexual purity (though, of course, it CAN be applied to other areas) and the one that states you should only be controlled by the Holy Spirit is not entirely relevant, because smoking doesn't affect your mind the way drugs and even achohol do. It's a bad habit. And even though people know it hurts them, it's a very difficult habit to break. And before you start pulling me outa context, I will repeat I do NOT condone smoking. But I don't think it should be so readily judged.
