It does get lonely in this world. I get lonely and sometimes God fills me up so much with Himself that I don't feel it, but it always comes back. People are so very busy with their lives, especially married people with their children and spouses, that it's very difficult to find friends who have the time to spend together. I have friends, but they are all too busy for the most part to spend time with. I find it sad that even the church is packed full of lonely people. Remember the Beatles song," All the lonely people, where do they all come from." I look forward to heaven when there won't be anymore loneliness.

SD456 (((Hugs))) too you dear friend. the song I like to remember and vision Jesus singing this to you: One in a million chance of a lifetime, and life shows compassion and sent me a stroke of love called you, 1 in a million you. I ever so know what loneliness is. Try being married for years and being lonely. The one thing I can say for certain and without faulter is: Romans 8:28 is so forever true. I said a prayer for you 2 Monkeymom~ Just checking in to see how you were and hope things are going well. Today our weather was nice so we got out for a while. We won't be able to going swimming for about a week, the thermostat on the pool broke and I will not put my bod in a 50 degree temp. pool! It's a nice break when the pool is open because my son loves the water, but almost all the people are not there when we are nor are their children young, *sigh.* But I keep looking up Hope you had a great week CRH

I am having the same problem as you. I lost all of my really close friends while in my past relationship. My ex-Fiance was a really controlling person and your friends tend to stop coming around when ur not allowed to talk to them. Anyway, I've come to be close with a couple of my neighbors only to have them hurt me very badly. Through prayer i have come to realize that the reason I don't have any close confidants is because I was always looking in the wrong places. Our closest friends should not be of the world but of Christ. I've begun looking in the right places and i am letting God take care of the rest. Until then I have this site and a couple others that i am members of. Hope this helps you. Steph

Thank you, crh, for the (((HUGS))). It must be very hard to be in a marriage and be lonely. Steph, that's hard to lose your friends while in a relationship. I lost my best friend a couple years ago to cancer. It'll be tough for me to find a kindred spirit like her. Probably never will. She was very unique. I never had anyone believe in me as much as she did nor be so much like me in so many ways. She had 7 children that she left behind from 5 - 19 yrs old. You guys are all very dear. blessings, Stace

I am praying for all of you who are lonely and desire a close friend. I pray that the Lord blesses each of you, with a strong Christian woman to be your close friend. May you also be the answer to her prayer, in finding a friend.

I am so glad I found this thread, I do get lonely. I just turned twenty-one, I was never able to get my license because of different disadvantages with money, and so that is doesn't help. And then it seems like all my friends are moving away, and if not moving away, they are getting married, or too busy. Sometimes I feel like the only friend I have is Jesus, and I should be happy but I am not...Why???

I am a busy person. I work full time, have kids, attend church, have friends, and love the Lord. Despite all of that, I am lonely most of the time, and the loneliness is palpable. Not having a man in my life to share things with, and to spend some time with, even if it's not much time, leaves a giant gap inside of me. I could date, but I choose not to. I have decided to leave that up to the Lord, because I really do not have a good track record with dating. I really don't like being in the "singles" category, but for the time being, nothing I can do about that. *sigh*

I get lonely a lot too. The majority of my friends live at least half an hour away, and my mom doesn't let me call them. I'm so thankful for my online friends, but they aren't always on or I can't always be on.
