What are some words you want to drop from your vocabulary?

Obviously I'm not referring to curse words (which would be a TOS offense to list), but other words which just make you cringe when you think about them, or words which you have been told are offensive or hurtful by others.

I'll start. These are words I really want to scrap:

- retarded (e.g. "don't be retarded"; "really? That's retarded!')
- sucks (there are people in other generations that have a very specific usage for this colloquialism)
- blows (ditto)

Your turn!! This can be a bit of an accountability thread too, if you'd like.

Dumb, stupid, idiot, loser... basically anything hurtful to others. I'm trying to eradicate these from my vocabulary, but it's so easy to slip back into the old ways when frustrated. [&o]

I want to drop all verbs from my vocabulary... In fact, I want to drop all words that can even be used as verbs from my vocabulary.
Once that is done, next is nouns.

(Avoiding possible verbs is hard. Couldn't even use "challenge" in that one... dang, I just used verbs... dang, used is also a verb... I fail. Grr, 'fail' is a verb.)

The "um" word IS annoying.....especially when used after every sentence. I wanna slap people like that.

I wanna drop "Freakin". it's over used.

and "Uber" because it's just....nerdy.

Also, I hate profane words. The longer I work, the more I notice them creeping into my vocab. I hate it.

one of my sisters hated the words "creamy" "crunchy" and "chunky" so her friends took pictures of things that were creamy crunchy and chunky and captioned them and gave them to her as a gift. brilliant!
