Well, it is the thought that counts.

hi there Mike, it's going good. cold but good. has it gotten cold in boston?

i drove by a cheesecake factory restaurant when i went to the bookstore at my mall but did not have a slice. i did have some pretzel sticks with cheese in the mall though.

Howdy Ed, I am actually only seeing this posting just now. Boston got a snow storm yesterday with another on on the way also. It has cooled down to being wintery a bit lately as well.

I can sure agree with that, Ed! We shoveled on Saturday, then got up to another 4 or 5 inches of snow on Sunday! There's a few more "aches and pains" in this ol' body than there were last week!

Hmm, Red Velvet Cheesecake... was there a recipe posted? A link, perhaps... ??? (I'm sure Ed would appreciate it too, he was probably too shy to ask. )

Thanks Terri, I'll go look it up and see if I can get a sugar rush too!

This weekend I spent a little time at one of my favorite passtimes... reading through my cookbooks (really, I love doing this- crazy, huh?) ! Anyway, I found a recipe for amaretto cheesecake- this was a little different in that it had amaretto in the cheesecake part, and some was added to the sour cream topping part too. Yummy. Another one to try one day.

Its 44* here.

I haz cheesecake too! This one to be exact. Its good too. We made these as Christmas presents.

Brownie Cheesecake Recipe

This delightful chocolate brownie cheesecake recipe combines chocolate and cheesecake in a tasty way. Brownies and cheesecake are a perfect blend, this is one recipe you'll make as often as you can!
Brownie Cheesecake

Ingredients:

16 oz Cream Cheese, Softened
8 oz (1 Pk) Brownie Mix
1/2 cup Sugar
2 Large Eggs
1 tsp. Vanilla
1 c Milk Chocolate Chips, Melted

Directions:

1. Grease bottom of 9-inch springform pan.

2. Prepare the brownie mix as directed on package. Pour batter into pan, bake for 15 minutes at 350F.

3. Combine sugar, vanilla, and cream cheese. Mix on medium speed with an electric mixer until well blended. Add eggs, one at a
time, mixing well after each addition. Pour cheese mixture over brownie layer.

3. Spoon melted chocolate over the cream cheese mixture, then cut through with a knife for a marble effect.

4. Bake at 350F for 35 minutes. Loosen cake from rim of pan; cool before removing rim of pan. Chill.
