Well, yes, truth is important... But I don't see why you are so dogmatic about this when there isn't any information of any kind as to what Adam looked like. I really don't mean to sound offensive, but I speak the truth - your dogmatism over such an issue smacks of racism. If this carries absolutely no theological weight (and it doesn't), why make this the only issue that you address? Concern yourself with salvation issues friend, leave the stumbling blocks to the devisive and immature. It does carry weight to me to tell the truth. We cannot get to that truth because of things like what Darwin did. 150 years later we still want to argue that Black people were not first. From Christians that believe the Bible and believe DNA. Adam and Eve. That's who I believe were first. Dna says Tanzania. north border. http://www.bradshawfoundation.com/stephenoppenheimer/stephen-oppenheimer.html That's the truth. My friend I was trying to get away from racist issues when I looked up Christianity, came here about a month and half ago. I came to this thread to talk about how Darwin contributed to this mess. Well, I really can't see how the amount of a certain chemical that existed in Adam's skin has any theological weight. Truth most certainly does, but we can't say that Adam was of any "color" just because the Garden of Eden was in what we now call Africa... Actually, by the Biblical descriptions, it most likely was very near what we now call Jerusalem. Keep in mind though that the flood of Noah's day may have completely wiped out and changed the entire area - that certainly would explain the vast oil deposits in that area. Realize though that I am NOT disagreeing with you, I am merely saying that I don't think that we should be so dogmatic about it for 2 reasons: 1) We don't have any evidence to support that Adam was a certain "color" and 2) There are no "races" described in the Bible, only families. Look, I believe your heart is in the right place, let's just not make stumbling blocks out of issues that are not going to determine a person's salvation. What is race anyway? If the picture in your avatar is you, then I would assume that you may call yourself black. Well, I may call myself caucasian, but what is it really? I mean, where is Caucasia? Oh, how I long to visit the mother land of Caucasia and frolic with my people! What a ludicrous thing! There is only one race, and that is human - our skin tone does not suggest what we are, or who we are any more than the fact that I have freckles whereas you may not. If the Bible doesn't make it an issue, why should we?

I mean, where is Caucasia? From Wiki The Caucasus Mountains are a mountain system in Eurasia between the Black and the Caspian sea in the Caucasus region.
