I do think there were some who did sign up with agendas. It doesn't hurt to go back and reaffirm your beliefs. I was tripped up for a while when interacting with them on another board. I went through a period of doubt and questioning everything I had previously believed. The circus atmosphere and touchy feely pablum being preached in churches today will reap a bitter harvest because too many people are not grounded in the basic doctrines of the faith. That is the one thing that has helped me sift through the confusion. I do know that Fritz and gang run a tight ship and keeps an eye on things.

Bingo.

Sometimes, challenges to our faith can drive us deeper into Scripture, and that's a healthy thing! We need to make sure we know what we believe and why we believe it. But, as StephK suggested, too few churches teach basic doctrine. I suspect any people coming in here with agendas know that we lack theological foundations, and thus have real reason to think they can separate us from our faith.

w00t! I've always wanted to be annoying! Anyways, I've always said that I'm not going to push my crack on anyone as long as they don't push theirs on me. I'm more here to learn than to argue.

That is actually funny.

But there is a difference with what you have to offer, and what we believe in. The beliefs of an atheist are detrimental to the soul, thus the likening them to crack. Belief in Christ is soul saving in purpose. So by no means please do not liken it to crack. I meant no offense, and am sorry if I offended you.

No offense taken. I found your terminology amusing so I decided to use it. I don't think that Christianity is detrimental to the soul, but I do think that the religion has caused harm to minority groups through history. The same can be said for atheism, in my opinion.

I agree, religion has and will cause very many to suffer. Which is why Christians believe Christianity is not religion.

Howsumever, many of the great abolitionists were so due to their Christian faith. (One such person was John Newton, author of Amazing Grace.)

Isn't it?! I've had it on my bookmark bar for several months now, and will periodically view just for the pleasure of it.

I just put it on my blog.

Didn't Christians also start hospitals?
