This isn't a Hannibal sort of dinner is it?

LOL! The Chianti was yummy!

Wow. No posts in all the time I was sleeping.

Let's get this moving again.

First, here are some cookies. *sets plate on the table and backs away*

Second, here's a question. What are you planning to do this week?

*snatches cookie*

Probably clean my house. I'm very busy this weekend so I won't have an opportunity to do so then.

Hey Skrey! I meant to tell you the idea I had with my BFF the other day. It might prove of interest to you.

Goodmorning all!! Yum, Thanks for the cookies! This week I will be working, want to plant some flowers and will probably do a little sewing.

Hmmm...Skrey, I've never seen those kind of cookies before. What do you call them?

Morning, morning crowd. I've been up and at 'em for about 5 hours alread...1.5 hours on the French, went to Ace and got stuff so my son can work around the house, came back and put in 1 hour on the finance paper work, and giving myself a break on here before tackling some house cleaning.

My weekend will be a bit odd. My oldest son and daughter will be gone...son is moving daughter to Kentucky for the summer. He will return next week, she will not. She has never lived away from home before (she's 25.) So they will be gone.

My parents, who live across the street from me, are going along with my brother and his wife (who live down the street and around the corner) to see my nephew graduate from boot camp in Chicago. So they will be gone.

Except for my other nephew and his family, me and my two younger girls will be ALONE for the weekend. Since the semester just ended, I may find myself somewhat at loose ends for the first time in a very long time.

The good news is that I just bought and installed a replacement hammock.

They're called *looks at the mix box* "Venture Capital Fudge". They're supposed to be so deliciously fudgey that people will want to write checks to invest in your fundraiser/business/cause.

*pout* I wants a hammock! (I actually have one, but no close pairs of trees)

I'm at work. I don't have AIM.

But it's nothing too big. But we were talking about the lack of assistance with getting stuff done. Like right now I have a very hard time getting my yard work done because of my back pain. I can supervise real well, but that's about it. HOWEVER, I can cook quite nicely if I do say so myself so we thought of a "barter" system. Some nice, strong, gentleman mowing my yard and stuff, and in return get a lovingly cooked meal with great company! Sounds good, eh?

It's a win win for single people in our town.

That does sound good. I don't know if you're familiar with Time Banks, but I've been thinking we ought to have one in this area. But what you're describing here might be more along the lines of a honey-do swap, which could be a great singles ministry. :)
How big is your yard? I have a push-reel (and an appetite).

Hmmm...I don't know if I would do it with perfect strangers, but people I know, like at church or something like that. I actually have a pretty small yard. You haven't been over yet, have you?

Hmmmm...

I just have a lot of trees which equals a lot of leaves. The leaves need to be raked before it can be mowed. Well, they don't have to be gone, but it would make the yard look prettier.

And yes...it would be a great swap. I'd even help someone out with something they need done. *shrug* I have no idea what I could do, but I'd try.

My oldest nephew graduates on Sunday. I'm such a proud aunt...and sad. I'm so proud to see the adult he's been transforming into but sad because I miss our little happy meal dates. I'm sure he'd still go on a happy meal date with me but he'd probably eat about 5 of them....at least!

Speaking of graduation....does anyone have any good ideas for a graduation gift? I'm thinking about just giving him money but he does have a job so he does have an income and will be working full time once he's done with school. But still...I know just starting out in college there's a lot of little expenses that you don't think about. But, if anyone has any good gift ideas I'm open.

know what would be fun? put a small gift and maybe some money in a happy meal box. that's something he could set on the shelf and always think of you when he saw it! (i always try to package my gifts uniquely...or do a theme gift. i bet he'd love it!!)

Any and all email servers are blocked from here. Trust me I've looked.

There was a time when I wanted to chat with people via email but couldn't because I didn't want to give my work email address out. Now I give it to a select few.

It took me a long time to get a picture of him "smiling". As soon as he would see the camera he would close his mouth. He'll smile like that when you talk to him about something he likes to do like playing ball.

Soon as ds gets the deck painted and it dries, you can come over and use mine. It's not between trees...it's mounted on my deck. I don't need too much sun, so being under the roof of the deck is very nice. And there's always a breeze...

So, come on over, say day after tomorrow. He's supposed to paint it today, so it should be safe to enjoy by then.
