I know of an event where those who were hurt by Bentley's movement where they can go. Here is a man who has real answersI think those people who were hurt by this movement should take a listen.

Hmm.....well, actually, what I was thinking is that people even have more now to look at and 'discern.' And, I do find it strange and not because of the split with his wife. This whole episode is strange.

I also pray he finds healing in his marriage - that they will unite in Him. I pray that he admits to the counterfeit revival he has been promoting and repents of such teachings, claims and practices.

Hi - ok lest you think im going to be a bit cold hearted, let me post this -
I would pray that God's will be done in the matter of their marriage and the rest of the bentley world as far as the sham they caused all God's precious sheep. it could be that the breakup of the marriage will be for God's glory, as it may cause the bentley's to repent ... also it could be the judgment of God causing their scam world to come to an end, so then again, i dont beleive it would be appropriate to pray that they have peace if God intends for them to be shaken, so that they would come to repentence thru hardship. it could be God's will to break them so that they will turn from their wickedness and open their eyes to what they are doing to God's precious sheep. so i dont pray that they be rescued and kept from what they sowed, but that God would have his way in the matter, whether it be painful or not, but if it would be for God's ultimate purposes. which might be painful to the bentleys.
or it couild be the wrath of God on these wicked sinners. yes i know i was a wicked sinner, but thats beside the point. everyone who is not God's children will not be under God's care.. ultimately yeah, if they came to repentence and turned from their wicked way, we have to forgive them.
in the old testament, the wrath of God came against all that did idolatry, i.e. the Tower of Babel, and other times, the wrath of God was going tohappen but the prophets stood in the way and they called out to God and the wrath of God was stayed.
Im sorry but I dont feel sorry for the bentleys, as they are sowing what they are reaping. God allows calamity often to wake us up and bring us to our senses. maybe they need to be shaken up.
sorry, im trying to say what i said in the nicest way i could, but i know it may ahve came off as cold and cruel, but still its what im thinking.

Not at all.....but we are still to pray for them...but I do understand what you have written....kind of like 'trial by fire'......where only the person is saved and their 'works' are burned up.
I still say.........strange turn of events......all the things that could have happened....but this is brought right to Mr. Bentley's 'personal' door so to speak.

Interesting article from J. Lee Grady from Charisma Mag on the demise of the Lakeland Circus
"I’m sad. I’m disappointed. And I’m angry. Here are few of my many, many questions about this fiasco:
Q: Why did so many people flock to Lakeland from around the world to rally behind an evangelist who had serious credibility issues from the beginning?
To put it bluntly, we’re just plain gullible.
A: From the first week of the Lakeland revival, many discerning Christians raised questions about Bentley’s beliefs and practices. They felt uneasy when he said he talked to an angel in his hotel room. They sensed something amiss when he wore a T-shirt with a skeleton on it. They wondered why a man of God would cover himself with tattoos. They were horrified when they heard him describe how he tackled a man and knocked his tooth out during prayer.
But among those who jumped on the Lakeland bandwagon, discernment was discouraged. They were expected to swallow and follow. The message was clear: “This is God. Don’t question.” So before we could all say, “Sheeka Boomba” (as Bentley often prayed from his pulpit), many people went home, prayed for people and shoved them to the floor with reckless abandon, Bentley-style.
I blame this lack of discernment, partly, on raw zeal for God. We’re spiritually hungry—which can be a good thing. But sometimes, hungry people will eat anything.
This really stuck out to me:
"A prominent Pentecostal evangelist called me this week after Bentley’s news hit the fan. He said to me: “I’m now convinced that a large segment of the charismatic church will follow the anti-Christ when he shows up because they have no discernment.” Ouch. Hopefully we’ll learn our lesson this time and apply the necessary caution when an imposter shows up."

I still believe that God desires to visit our nation in supernatural power. I know He wants to heal multitudes, and I will continue praying for a healing revival to sweep across the United States. But we must contend for the genuine, not an imitation. True revival will be accompanied by brokenness, humility, reverence and repentance—not the arrogance, showmanship and empty hype that often was on display in Lakeland.
Those who ordained Bentley are charlatans themselves.
Why would we be surprised at the outcome?

Bentley reminds me back in the day about an evanglist by the name of A.A. Allen. Allen had a successful healing ministry which was on television (I remember this well because I used to get up at 8:00 in the morning before going to church and watch this show. Allen unfortnatly had demons and he died of alcholism in San Francisco.
One thing about TBN and all its affiliate networks and they had the good sense to not to air this circus of an evangelical movement.
I believe the Alecs learned hopefully a valuable lesson from this.

In case it hadn't been mentioned yet; Bentley was here in L.A. just a few weeks ago and a group of us went out to the location to open-air preach and share the gospel. Neither we nor the gospel were well received. You can see some of that on YouTube:

We are called to judge (test) all things in light of Scripture. What part of judging Bentley's teachings, claims and practices do you have a problem with?
What part of judging a counterfeit revival do you have a problem with?
Also, how do we know someone is a brother or sister in the Lord when they attribute their conversion experience to a demon named Emma-O? Just saying.

it is not the testing that I have a problem with it is the use of words against the person/people ....saying things like they deserve such and such etc...see what I mean...
we ARE to test and see what is GOD and what is not of GOD
but we are not to Slam the person...we need to have discernment who is of GOD and who is not and if they are not pray for them to see Truth and receive Salvation...
