World Magazine further explores the "healings" of the Lakeland "revival".

Problem is that many healings there resulted in death. And other valid healings happened somewhere else prior.

Much is review accept for the newly added annecdotes.

To expand on the article letusreason linked to -

World Magazine: "At the height of what many called a revival, WORLD asked Bentley to talk about the healings, like Fogle's, and asked for a list of people who had been healed at the services. His associates told me Bentley was out of the country and a list could not be produced. But six weeks and more than a dozen requests later, the ministry eventually sent a list of 13 names."

After Bentley and his associates' wild claims of thousands of healings and raising the dead, the best they could come up with is a list of 13 names. Let me repeat: THIRTEEN NAMES.

And the actual result of the 'healing' of the people on that list?

"Fogle was No. 12 on the list, along with this note: "Healed through the Outpouring and is back to fishing." That was on Aug. 8, 2008. There was just one problem. Two weeks earlier, on July 22, Christopher A. Fogle—according to his obituary in the Keokuk (Iowa) Daily Gate City, "left this life . . . after a courageous battle with cancer.

Mills, 66 at the time of her death, had lung cancer and was undergoing aggressive treatments when she was, according to the list, "healed at the revival." Mills "was taking radiation, but was sent home," according to notes on Bentley's list, with "no trace of cancer in her body."

Leigh Ann Ansley, 43, is a married mother of two from Birmingham, Ala. The list says she was "healed of severe knee damage from an accident. Has had four knee surgeries in the past, but still had pain. Healed in the worship service and even her knee scar is disappearing. Also healed of migraines." When contacted, Ansley confirmed that she had attended the Lakeland Outpouring for about a week, and she confirmed that she did ask for prayer for an old skiing accident. She said that after the prayers the knee "was not as stiff" as it had been. As for the migraines: "I still have migraines," she said.

Tuplin pastors a "home church" in Montego Bay, Jamaica, and said he was steadfast in his belief that God had used Bentley to heal him of flat feet. "I had pain in my feet for many years," he said. In fact, Bentley's list said the 57-year-old had suffered through "40 years of flat-footedness." Tuplin said the "pain instantly disappeared" after a "word of wisdom" at one of the Lakeland Outpouring services. Was there a physical change in his feet, or could his doctors see any change in them? "No," Tuplin answered. "I can't see any change in shape. I just feel much better. And I'm not the kind of guy who goes to a doctor much."

I want an explanation immediately from Bentley, from his former Fresh Fire Ministry [now called Transform International], from his associates, from his 'restoration team', and from his supporters.

I just contacted Transform International [formerly Fresh Fire Ministries] and asked them to explain themselves in light of all that has happened. I encourage everyone to do the same.

Transform International is continuing on as if nothing happened. To this date, they have never questioned Bentley as a 'prophet' and a true servant of God. They have never, ever repented of the part they played in promoting Bentley's false teachings, false prophecy, false signs, and occult practices. In fact, rather than follow the clear Biblical guidelines, they were all in favor of restoring their fallen 'prophet' back to the pedestal they themselves put him on. There are still references to Todd Bentley on TI's website as a 'gifted and anointed' man, and they are still teaching the same new age and gnostic-inspired garbage they've always taught.

CONTACT TRANSFORM INTERNATIONAL and ask them for an explanation for what they've done and continue to do.

That's interesting, thanks for checking and added info.

We have or used to have a traveling evangelist that
called us from that chaos when it was going on, and
when I did not agree with any of it and sent them link
after link about what was really going on, they quit
having anything to do with us. They accused me of
fighting against God instead of realizing I was exposing
a "false" (brother/prophet).

But, that's what the WoF movement has done these last decades.
Stripped the Body of Christ of real discernment. Satan is so subtle.
Just like God said in the garden in Genesis.

May the scales fall from the eyes of the deceived so they will no
longer be deceived. Whether they repent or not is up to them.

I was thinking of Todd.................
but, in the back of my mind, I know it's not
over unless he grasps the goodness of God
and actually repents.

Just driving by...................................LOL

I thought of Todd again..........lol.
I heard on the radio how those who covered themselves
with tattoos early on are now seeking to have them removed
as it makes it very difficult to get a job in the "real world."

We stopped eating at a particular food establishment as the
kids waiting on you were covered in tattoos, or maybe it was
the disgusting filth under their fingernails?

It may be "cool" when you are in rebellion, but when you go to
and get out of law school, impressions, etc. become a bit more important.

Tattoes...Even locally at the Six Flags Magic Mountain is very strict about hiring people with large or showing tats.

I haven't heard much more of Todd lately...is he still doing the same 'wonders;' kicking people in the stomach or kicking elderly women in the face with his biker boots..?

From the article which is kinda funny...

"Mr. Bentley's ministry logo is apparently borrowed from the original TV series of Star Trek. Any idea in your mind that Mr. Bentley is so spiritually adept that he can "go where no man has gone before" was probably put there by accident"

Thanks for the info, ironsharpensiron. I went to the new Bentley website (http://www.freshfireusa.com/) and a Rick Joyner video plays, one of those "excited about what God is doing" things you would expect. There's a tab for "Revival" that has a gallery of pics, I guess all from Lakeland but I only looked at two of them.

There is a tab there labeled "Know Jesus?" and it has an eleven-minute video from Todd which is a kind of salvation appeal, but I was interested in seeing that it was a dual-screen page. While the video plays in one screen, the "advertisements" play in the other screen for Todd's books and donations.

Kinda like the old hymn, "I Surrender Half".

We all knew it was only a matter of time
before the serpent would raise his head again.

And Rick Joyner doing the opening endorsement
for the web site?

I won't be making it a place I go to regularly..................

Only to keep tabs on what they are up to, not for
instruction and indoctrination. I use my Bible for that.

Will we be hearing from his former supporters supporting him,
or will it be a new batch of newbies following after him?

Hopefully the former will have had their eyes opened by now.

The website, according to Rick Joyner, will help people go to 'all new heights in their faith'.....higher than the last time Mr. Bentley was let loose?

If only the economy would recover from its fall as quickly as Todd Bentley 'has' from his.

ughh..this guy just makes me sick. from his blog

quote:

I have feared that the judgment of God and embraced His discipline. I remember days where Ive questioned if God would qualify me again as a leader because of His holiness, His righteousness, and justice. To be frank, I came quite short of the character required of a leader.

Recently in Prayer God Spoke to me out of Isaiah 30:18 NKJ

“Therefore the Lord will wait, that He may be gracious to you;
And therefore he will be exalted, that He may have mercy on you.
For the Lord is a God of justice; Blessed are those who wait for Him.”

Sometimes when we expect judgment, God manifests His justice in goodness and mercy. As it implies in the verse above, God’s justice and mercy are exalted in the Lord being gracious to you. The Bible goes on to promise in the same chapter, in the 20th verse, that though the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, God will restore you to His favor again.

(bolding mine)

i think he is basically saying that he was expecting to be punished, but what with Joiner giving him a pat on the back and an 'atta boy', his season of being restored is over and he's able to go back to preaching without feeling any guilt whatsoever. in other words, no punishment. he just picks up where he left off.

then he says
quote:

For me, and maybe you too, have faced a season of discipline and the dealings of God have been hard

what season of discipline? he used his 'time of restoration' to separate from his wife and marry his mistress...i see no discipline here.

Amen!!!!!!!!!

Only thing found in Todd Bentley is "wickedness"
and "lawlessness."

Those two words deserve pondering and research.
Too bad Bentley makes it up as he goes.

"Go and sell thy motorcycles and give it all to the poor."
Not revamp a commercial web site to garner more money.

I've known folks who've faced far more serious discipline for far less serious offenses.

The whole Todd Bentley thing leaves me shaking my head in disbelief.

tell me about it. I made a C on my report card when i was in the 4th grade and my parents banned me from watching TV until I brought it up to at least a B. That was more discipline than Todd received....I remembered that throughout my childhood and never had C again! it caused me to do my best and work hard.

all this "discipline' does is let Todd know that if he gets tired of his current eye candy, he's free to cheat again because he will be 'restored' into God's favor eventually anyway, as he has been 'called' to lead people (and take their money).

instead of sending him to Rick Joyner for 'discipline', they should have sent him to my mother...she would have lit a fire under his bottom for sure.
